Yea. I bet the salsa isn't either. I've pretty much mastered the real Mexican salsa now. Got to have cilantro in it. I can almost drink that stuff.Fajitas aren't as good either

Dang girl! Don't know how you do it.I can match the salsa when I can get fresh enough ingredients, which is about every year and a half, lol
It's true, Texas is definitely the home to the best brisket in the country. And fajitas, and salsa. We come by it naturally with all the Mexican population here. Love southern and Mexican cooking! Ugh! Now I'm getting dangerously hungry!

All I've had is crappy stuff from the frozen food section...ugh...now I'm hungry...no time for cooking, hahaMe too! Need to eat before I go back to work in a few. Won't be no brisket, fajitas or salsa though
Stuart, you'll have to make a trip south one of these days. All I've had is crappy stuff from the frozen food section...ugh...now I'm hungry...no time for cooking, haha

I guess brisket would be a little hard to come by up there, wouldn't it?

That sounds good. Kentucky is not known for its brisket, haha. Not sure what it is were known for but it's not that (please don't say our fried chicken. The truth is KFC elsewhere tastes better than it does here...)Stuart, you'll have to make a trip south one of these days.

I was about to say it's like that here, too, then I saw we live in the same state!I am getting slammed right now by a wall of red lines on the radar. It's dark enough outside you'd think it was almost 10pm....
Head to Owensboro. I'm not a fan of mutton, though it's huge there, but they can make some of the best BBQ anything out that way.Kentucky is not known for its brisket
Never had mutton before. Goat meat, yes, but never sheep.I was about to say it's like that here, too, then I saw we live in the same state!

...it does? I love derby pie but I didn't think it had bourbon in it haha. I wouldn't be surprised. Louisville is drenched in liquor at derby time.Derby Pie - which has bourbon in it
It's worth the stop to hit Moonlight BBQ. Dad was a huge fan of Old Hickory BBQ, I preferred Moonlight. He and my mom grew up there, I spent a lot of my childhood visiting.Really? Only ever passed through Owensboro.

But, i have it coming anyway!!
I like HEB brisket ok.A good brisket is slow cooked on a huge carousel type pit for many hours. Even our HEB grocery stores carry already cooked brisket, although it's not the best.

Perhaps, but so far, every goat that's lived next door to me has faintedNot all goats faint, just that particular breed.
Goats are one of my favorite pets. I would get another if I didn't already have so much to take care of.
I need a day off from the attys.
A slow cooker will do it fine if you don't have the time to spend all day with it.I like HEB brisket ok.
Alright, sometimes when I don't feel like smoking it all day, I cheat. I'll smoke it for a few hours, then, before bed.............put it in the crockpot with some Lipton Onion soup. Don't tell.....
Huh???? Oh Mikey..........YOU ARE IN FOR IT NOW!
Hey, he didnt even CONSIDER it so no harm done!!LOL. Yes I do Mikey. But hey, you DO have it coming anyway.................hehehehe
I hear that. I wasn't much of a fan of brisket until recent years. I have never been, and will never be, a fan of Mutton. Stuff gives me the willies! We used to have a subsidiary in Owensboro. They treated us to the mutton barbecue and I'm not a fan. Maybe I'm just spoiled with good brisket.
Ditto... it's become too much in here, lol.I'm so hungry....

Goats eating wild hair thru the fence?About what? The wild hair, or the goats eating through fence? Not kidding about either.
You're fired for saying that..Okay, I'm grilling some pork chops now. I'm hungry!
Cilantro is HORRIBLE stuff.Yea. I bet the salsa isn't either. I've pretty much mastered the real Mexican salsa now. Got to have cilantro in it. I can almost drink that stuff.
