It's a Tootle army!!

It sure is! And that mod to the Magmas makes them MUCH better tootles than they were! Still got great flavor, but now a tighter draw, and I don't feel any ejuice leakage at all on that mod this morning; usually if juice sits in a Magma overnight, I would feel some juice on the mod in the morning... so I think that effort is a success! But I do think I should re-coil that, I was still seeing some jumping-resistance last night. I had pretty much forgotten how to mount a coil in a Magma, and kinda flubbed it. I might just wrap the leads around the screws instead of putting them thru the posts, I really dislike the thru-the-post mounting.

Yah, TELL me about it. I like to use 28 to 32 ga. wire, and a LOT of those through the post designs are just little guillotines. You really have to get to know the feel of what tight is, or boom. Another one bites the dust.

I always use 29ga, so maybe that's why I hate them so much. 'Cause even when you get them tight... if you check 'em again in a little while, they're not tight anymore... which might be the cause of the jumping-around resistance, I dunno.

I'm also no longer accustomed to wrapping coils with the leads ending up on the same side; an Achilles mounts just like a kayfun, so the leads go in opposite directions. And apparently I need to bend those stupid leads to account for the width between the posts, since my coils aren't that wide, and trying to compress the coil a little after mounting just caused some overlapping on the outside edge of the coil, which I had to separate with a bluedriver.

Filmed the "review" for the boreas last night. Every time I film a review, right after I finish doing it I remember something important I forgot to mention. I hate that. It's very hard to go back next day to film stuff to add back in without it looking obvious. Oh well

Just do what Phil does and make an "from the future" insert and edit it in. No one cares.

Does Steam Engine have specs for SS wire? I haven't checked. Just wondering what kind of whopper coil I'd have to build with SS to get anywhere near my usual resistance.

Andria
Yep steam engine covers most all types of wire.
That is what I could not get to work out was using Kanthal in steam engine and was actually using ss316.
Steam Engine works out perfectly once I put in SS316.

Thx, I just checked it. I think I gotta give SS a miss; I'd have to go up to 30ga, and would need 12 wraps just to get over 1 ohm. Kanthal suits my vaping style much better.

Good afternoon, fugees! I haven't been here much the last few days. Just impossibly busy, and when I do get a chance to be on the computer, all I can do is stare at it and maybe throw a few likes out. God, I'm tired, and to top that, my damned knee popped on me Sunday, so I've been wrapped and hobbling along. No time to get it looked after right now. Hope everyone is faring out well this day. Back to try and work.

Ss is more flexible with wattage choice for a given resistance. So in my experience, 1 ohm in stainless and 1 ohm in kanthal is not a direct comparison with the wattage you use. So while your resistance will be lower with the same build in ss, that doesn't mean it HAS to have more watts thrown at it. I have several .12 ohm builds in ss that I use very effectively at 50 watts and that would not be the case at all with kanthal

While I understand that six 3mm ID wraps of 28g SS has exactly the same surface as six 3mm ID wraps of 28g Kanthal therefor the flux would be the same at the same wattage...

Oh, I see what you are saying. Agreed, resistance does not matter with VV/VW

Using VW/VV as long as the gauge, number of wraps and ID is the same the resistance of the coil is irrelevant. 9W being produced from a 6 wrap 2.5mm coil is the same no matter what the resistance or metal.

Yeah. That song particularly puts me in great mood. :)

Guess it is odd that I enjoy music created by folks that use ******, acid. Maybe not. Seems they find great beauty in not being here but out there.

There we go. :) Enjoy, @Boden, let those nano fucks now be no fucks. ;) :)

Most vape wire is actually 316L, unless it's china wire then..if they label it 316 it could be 316 or 316L. So on steam engine I always put in 316L/elite

However lower resistance DOES mean faster battery use, and that is the main reason I use 2+ ohms; I *like* my batteries lasting 2 days.

50 watts is FIVE TIMES more than I need or want or use.

I find 6 wraps too small. I used 7 wraps for a long time, coming out around 1.6-1.7 Ω, but I find that my 2+ ohm coils with 9 wraps are actually a much better vape; a little more vapor, not enough to give me trouble, but enough that I like it better.

@Moueix -- I prefer to leave the diameter alone; I'm expert at wicking a 3/32 coil, and if I change that, then I have to relearn the "just right" amount.

I cant argue with that, I put all my considerations towards performance and flavor, not battery life. The 50w thing was an example for my setup, not saying you should vape at that level

If you are using a VW device and set it on the same watts the battery lasts the same amount of time.
Now with different resistance coils your vape will not be the same but battery life will.

Evening all, vape mail came got lots of rolls of Clapton wire, should last me 6 months to a year or until I place my next order. Also got in a bunch of tfa concentrates. Just stocked up on a few different cream and vanilla flovors.

I do edit the videos. But filming next day, lighting will be different, stuff on the desk is slightly different.
It's just obvious it's added in. Regardless, it's not the end of the world, it can just be a little jarring if the scene suddenly changes, then changes back

If I'm not in the right place, please drop there.

Run into a minor glitch this evening while looking for deals on nicotine. Found a site that listed it's nicotine at $9.999,999.00 per half liter, it was the same price for liter. I spoke to a rep on their live chat. They said I needed to be a licensed wholesale distributer, or manufacture, they listed that price to deter end user customers.

Why should I, humble Joe Fuckall living in Boonsticks Podunk need to go and set up a fucking business just to employ myself to mix juice for myself alone? I mean fuck sakes. How damn ridiculous is this going to get?

I figured I could do alright with a half liter, it'd let mix up 28 batches of 4 L bottles. That would last me 28 years too with my consumption rate being around 2 ml a day. I also figured 1 L of nicotine would let me mix up 77 years worth of juice, only for me. But thought, "ya know that much they might make intent to distribute stick". I got no intent to distribute unless it's "hugo bud, have a 15 ml, free." Even then not too keen to go out and give free juice to strangers.

Apologies if this is a Me heavy post.
