Awwwwww... :inlove:

Welp, chickens are fed, horses and cows are fed, wimped out and let the calves do the milking for me, and now it's time to get some breakfast and then go to "town." "Town" is 100 miles away, so it's an all-day trip there and back. We're going to get a new stove because the old one seems to have sprung a leak somewhere. When I was making bread yesterday the entire house stank of raw propane, and the stove didn't get up to the proper temp. I'm sick of soggy, saggy bread and a stinky house, so we have to bite the bullet and get a new stove. The only problem is, I hate going shopping, and more than that, I hate going to town! It's so quiet out here, it's good for my jangly nerves, and all those people in town make me start to twitch. But, it has to be done, and I have to go whether I like it or not. I'm not trusting Rich to pick out the stove I would have picked for myself. Sorry, but it's a "gurl thing." :p
Going to town beats blowing up. Of course it would be blamed on ecigs if it happened.

That sucks. One of the nice things about heavy industry. Shutdown work, we HAVE to be done in X hours. When my crews go in, the best guys, I can't afford to lose off the job. So they will get 8 hours straight, then it's OT. Often, some will work 18 hrs. Then they will come back in next day at 7am, and since they haven't been off the clock 8 hours, they are STILL on OT. Work another 18. With drive time, setup, cleanup.. It's fairly common for a guy to get 16 straight, and 35 OT in 3 shifts plus drive time, which can be.. 28 more hours. Leave Sunday, home by late Thursday night. TOUGH work though, tough OT. But many are happy to do it once or twice a month, and make side money the rest of the time.
So you are a boss, right?
Here ya go:)

I've come to like this one. Can store your juice recipes along with having an ohms calc and coil calc. It has been pretty useful, started on steamengine.org but must say I like this one better.

I dont know why but I got to a point I quit using steam. Probably because I tend to keep my builds pretty close every time in all honesty. With exception of a twisted clapton I put in my mutank a week or two ago.

When I got into diy I was using e liquid recipe but recently my phone hasnt been cooperating with that site well lol. Thats how I came upon it. So far it's done everything I've needed and I havent even gone into all the areas it has.

I work 160 hours of straight time in a two week shift and then have two weeks off. I also get 160 hours paid vacation every year and if I time it right I can have a 6 week vacation. I work as a helicopter mechanic and normally the work isnt hard at all. Last night I did two daily look overs on helicopters and then torque checked a drive shaft. By 6 pm I was done and fucked off until 1 am when we left a couple hours early. :D

The down side is I am gone from home for two weeks at a time so if anything happens, I am a three hour drive from the house. The upside is I am gone from the missus nagging for two weeks at a time

It is prolly only fer Android or phones though? Nothing native Linux?
Good question...I'm android only these days. Some days I forget theres other options out there cause I only know one person in the real world with anything else lol. Txtd my friend with apple to see if they have it. Not sure on linux. Developer's email is [email protected] if you want to check with him/her on availability/ coding it over?

Feel I've done something today. :) Got morning critter feeding done, ricked up some firewood. Made contact w/ someone to see if they wanted to buy some comic books, come in and sat myself down, pushed and finished two more character profile sheets for a story. I have four principle characters in this story and so all four are now profiled. Next up is fleshing out a summary paragraph of the story into a one page synopsis.

I'm holding on that a little bit to get the story more germinated in my mind. As it is I do have a very good overview of the story now. I see it'll work and be a really good story from following a different process. Before I would free write and not have a clue, end up ditching non working stories. I feel good about this one. :) I can see it real clear. I want it a bit more fleshed in my mind before a one page synopsis though.

After that, back to more character development. I have to take each principle and flesh out their respective stories to one page synopsis. And then it'll be on to creating summary scenes for a spreadsheet, get it all story boarded out, start fleshing it out in writing the story itself. So yep, feeling I've done something. Yay.

I hold a private pilot license for airplanes, cant afford the ratings for a helicopter so sadly I dont get to take them out for a spin :(

But I probably have logged over 500 hours riding in them during the 29 years I been working on them.

Sounds like we're in the same or similar industries.

Back in my younger days I worked a lot of shut downs and turn arounds in Alberta and British Columbia (pipefitter by trade). Long hours and hard work but the money was great:) Some of the big plants would shut down in sections so the job would last up to a month with no days off and at times, 1-2hr travel from camp to site. Cha-ching, cha ching! From about 25 to 35 I spent more time in the bush then out.

Now I just try to keep myself busy with consultant work as a QA specialist and collect dividends from a fab shop I'm part owner of. Problem here is our industry is dying due to world economics and a far left provincial government that hates Oil and Gas.

I feel bad for the young people of my province right now. It's tough times for them:(

We're the guys that waterjet those lines, up to 40K psi. Plus big vessels, heat exchangers, duct work, paint shops, you name it. If it's filthy and dangerous, we're there. ;) I like to call the jobs "Rodeos" because they're full of clowns, and dangerous stunts. :)

I have another biz, do Cad/Cam and CNC programming for stamping dies. THAT business has suffered the same fate as yours. Most of the work is in Shenzen now, and some other Sh places...

I've held a single engine, land, since I was 16. NEVER been in a chopper though. Never bothered to get IFR cert'd either. I like it CAVU.. ;)
