Yer speakin' my lingoWe're the guys that waterjet those lines, up to 40K psi. Plus big vessels, heat exchangers, duct work, paint shops, you name it. If it's filthy and dangerous, we're there. I like to call the jobs "Rodeos" because they're full of clowns, and dangerous stunts.
I have another biz, do Cad/Cam and CNC programming for stamping dies. THAT business has suffered the same fate as yours. Most of the work is in Shenzen now, and some other Sh places...
I hear ya on the rodeo stuff, I'm surprised I survived some of the dumb crap we did back then
I knew the economy was getting bad a couple years back and convinced my wife we had to down size and batten the hatches. Very glad we did and I can enjoy a slower pace until things get back to normal again.
Semi retirement is fun but my wife has a hunny-do list for me that makes me yearn for 12 hour work days
