Many of the regulars on this thread have that guy on ignore and never even saw that post, lol
Oops. I've been gone awhile so I did not know to put him on ignore. I apologize.
Old eyes? You are still a spring chicken ;)
Hey I'm not complaining. Makes me look better when I look in the mirror lol. Of course I never wear my glasses when I do so hahaha!

Here we are complaining about the cold at 45 degrees and Mister Canada is in da house.
Yep... everytime we get one of these damned Alberta Clippers I just think that I wish to hell Alberta would keep her fucking weather and stop sending it down here! :giggle:

I live in Calgary (Alberta), and it sure as heck is windy up here today! 80 KM/HR (aka 50 MPH) Going down to -6 (Celsius - no idea what that is in Fahr.) overnight. Brrrrr

We shot up to 34 F today, but it kept snowing - so it's sloppy yuck out there
Gah!!!!!!!!! It only snows here once every 2 to 5 years and it's about an inch. I have never had a white Christmas. It's on my bucket list though. There's no way in the world I'd be able to live there. You know the people that you're afraid that will get on the road when it snows or has any ice? Yeah well that's me. okay so I admit it! I am one of those that runs out to get bread before it freezes.

Feed a few bags of flower into a leaf blower for a southern white Christmas.

About 21F -- a/k/a pretty fucking cold! It's forecast to be 41 (5C) here again tonight, but not much wind, thank GOD, somewhere between 2 and 4 MPH. But Saturday, it's supposed to rain, and from the looks of things, that rain will usher in some REALLY damn cold temps, down to 33 degrees Sunday night (about 2-3C). but next week we'll get back into the 70s in the daytime, 50s at night. I can live with that.... but I better bring my aloe monster into the garage Saturday night, for sure! Maybe the rosemary too.

The same year we had snow on Halloween, we acxtually had a little snow on xmas day -- we were at my uncle's lake house, and he had this nice glassed-in porch, and we sat out there and had a nice xmas dinner and watched the snow, it was really neat. I think it was '93 or maybe '94. That is the ONLY "white xmas" I have EVER seen, despite 5 yrs in Michigan. Once my ex and I visited his family just after xmas in Milwaukee -- the place where you don't want to blunder off the shoveled paths, or your body won't be found till May! :giggle:

Naah much lower than that due to battery output voltage sag under load.
Have to measure the voltage at the posts while firing to know the actual wattage.
Hadn’t considered that, how much sag, ever measured at the Posts? I have regulated mods so I’ve assumed I’m getting the voltage indicated while firing is correct and it’s usually less than 0.2V sag on a 4 second draw. Does your mech sag more than that? I have a DMM so I might measure at the Posts one day. I’m vaping at 11.5W so your sag is gonna be higher at your higher power levels and I’m curious to know how much.

We had White Easter for 12 years running - actual snowfall plus what was on the ground, lol

At 20 amps draw a 25R will drop to 3.5 or lower at the battery.
Check out the pulse charts at mooch's specs on voltage drop for each battery under different loads.
Here is one for the 25R.
https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...ch-retest-results-a-great-20a-battery.706485/

A regulated mod will make up the slack and boost the voltage to get the desired wattage.
A mech will not.
Plus even the best mech and atty will have a .2 or so drop under high current not counting the battery voltage sag.

I measured at the posts on my CV with a Goon Clone.
With 2 yr old 25R fresh charged I was getting 3.2 volts at the coil posts with a .16 build in the atty.

so I was pushing 64 watts.

On a mech without measuring the voltage at the coil posts it is not possible to know how much wattage you are getting.

If I had good 30 amp batteries in there I would estimate to hit maybe 90 at the highest with that build more like 80 I figure though.

If I used HG2's I would probably get around 50 watts as they sag more than a 25R.

I looked at Mooches battery chart and saw a drop from 4.1 to 3.5V at 30A, his pulse testing started at 30A and increased from there. I have one 25R and 3 HG2s, prefer the HG2’s for the higher maHr capacity though my Lii-500 battery charger/tester shows somewhere in the 2900 maHr range. A new 25R battery should have less sag than you measured I would think. Still i hadn’t considered that much sag so i appreciate you pointing it out. The sags bottom peak isn’t instant though so you’re pulling a little more current at the beginning of the draw.

At 20 amps even the best 18650's will sag to ~3.8 at the best for a fully charged cell.
That sounds reasonable from your measurements and Mooches charts. Makes sense electrically as well since batteries have internal resistance and the higher the current the higher the voltage drop internally in the battery. My Lii-500 charger measures and displays the internal resistance of my batteries.

My 25R is 2 years old and my measurement included any mod and atty voltage drop as well.
The 25R's that Mooch tested were brand new. Batteries do not perform as well as they age. Kind of like us humans :)

That’s good battery life. I should write down my batteries internal resistance, mark them, and trend it over time to see how aging affects that. But will I find the time? :D
I just write the purchase date on mine with a sharpie and put a bit of clear tape over it.
I have had 1 25R crap out from 6 I bought.
I have HG2's that I bought before the 25R's that are still going fine with no deaths so far.
I am sure that their capacity has dropped but not enough yet to be an issue.

I had a Serpent RTA filled in a Kato clone as a backup setup. Was in a pouch in my GO bag which has been in warm vehicles, laid on it's side, etc for 3 weeks. Pulled it out and nary a dribble and I did not close the JFC.
Took a pull and no gurgle either.
I like it when stuff just works.

Only complaints with the Serpent RTA is no knurling on the topcap and glass is not replaceable.

I have no clue how I posted a "nothing" post. So, here's something:

Why is it that so many things that are super good for you taste like shit?
Ahh the old 'if it tastes good spit it out' thing.
Medicine must taste bad, etc...

Must be something started by Pentecostals?

Everything fun is a sin to them.

Seems to be a recurring theme no matter what flavor of religion it comes from

But not always true -- I love tea, I love garlic, I love blueberries, and I'm quite fond of chocolate... which all turn out to be good for you, in one way or another. But yeah some very beneficial things taste pretty awful -- everytime I open the bottle of B complex vitamins I'm reminded of that; the smell alone is enough to knock a vulture off a shit wagon.

But I daresay you'll never find me eating algae. :giggle:
