3 hours maximum to recharge is good for me. I use a little Belkin outlet timer switch set to 3.

Xtar makes great chargers, but adding the external cutoff is something I've done for years now. The battery discharge rate while sitting in an Xtar charger with power off is really tiny, it only loses a few mAh of capacity.

I dont wait i always have a pre charged pair ready to go and always overnight charge anything that needs ut ...if i must wait it would have to be 1.5hrs max thats why i would definitely needs this charger.
