To shorten the atty further, I cut down a DT to make a rounded top for the DT adapter. Reduced it by ~1/2".

Total height from bottom of mod to top of DT is 96mm. Shirt pockets swallow it up with nothing showing. :)

Many prefer external AFC and insist on glass. They would be happy to add the 27 grams to get that.

I don't care about either really. And I consider Erl's lightness to be one of its main attractions. So I won't be going for this model myself.

One annoyance of the Erlkonigin is getting the post screws to hold the coil wire consistently on the post, especially the positive post. The flat area is very small and the underside of most screws are not flat. I get wires popping off when tightening and inconsistent ohm reading.

An easy fix is to countersink the posts around the screw threads. A small drill at high speed does the job nicely. Now the screws hold the wire securely and ohm readings are stable. :)

Damn, FT just discontinued the mini!? Loved that little dude... At least my 2nd mini and chimney/tank combo (to convert full-sized) were shipped. I wonder why? Anybody know?

I purchased mine from GearBest. It arrived in about 2 weeks. The box looks like the original box, it is a 1:1 clone.
I have had no problems with it, and it coms with the metal tank, and written like the real one it says "Erlkonigin" on it, and came with the Plastic frost tank, adapter for your own drip tip, w/plastic & metal screw on drip tips, and extra seals & screws!! I love the taste and hit, and for 16.39USD was a great price w/free shipping worldwide! Forget 170.00USD for original, my buddy was bummed when he saw and tasted mine LOL

Angelcigs.com has it for $5.00USD, where they get you is shipping, but they are the same as GearBest.com but don't come with any extra parts. What you see is what you get, but I think GearBest has better quality!
And IBTanked.com sells the glass tank that fits both of them. GearBest says it's 6ml and Angelcigs says 8ml, but when my plastic tank broke Angelcigs was the same size.
IBTanked glass Pyrex tank fits both perfect. ID 19mm x 39mm height (1.5mm thick, I think?), $5.00USD + 3.00 for shipping (best to order 2 or more and $6.00 International shipping) and that's for clear, but nicely finished on top & bottom of tank, also comes with 2 extra seal rings for top and bottom & 2 chimney rubber black seals, in a plastic container with black flat top screw down caps for each glass tank. I think it's 3.50 more for transparent colors.
But on the Tank GearBest is the better deal !!!
