Has anyone investigated the Amoretti flavorings that were mentioned originally with the Atmos? I would love to try Amoretti's Calvados, Sweet Vermouth, Anejo Tequilla, Madiera, Port, etc.
I have been playing a bit with Coconut, Vienna Cream, Cookie, Marzipan, and Pineapple. I think that the combination of Coconut, Cookie, and Pineapple is creating the elusive flavor that most reviewers are describing. I think probably more Coconut than the other ingredients and I'm subing Marzipan for Almond to cut out the sweetener. Have you guys already tried the purported ingredients with FA flavorings? I'm surprised it would be close without the cookie. Most reviewers noticed the bakery element and thats got the AP in it. At 2/1/1/1/1% its pretty light for me but it seems similar to reviews I have seen. I definitely get the buttery almond, I can see where some would say white chocolate and there is a bit of a burnt/toasted undertone. I don't taste any Pineapple. For a commercial juice I'd guess maybe a little more Coconut and Cookie another percent of each would get up to 8% flavoring which I think usually gets FA recipes around the flavor density of most off the shelf juices. If the Marzipan isn't nutty enough after that maybe sub other nuts and sweeten with Marshmallow or Caramel since those flavors are mentioned in reviews but I really think those flavors are coming from the AP effecting Coconut and Pineapple.Wow - a lotta White Rabbit fans! Even the Beav vapes the Rabbit... that sounds off-color, somehow.
Good to see ya! You plan to add plain AP, or AP in the form of FA Cookie, TFA Cheesecake, or some other cake flavor? Just curious; I never vaped a rabbit.
Dixie, black cigar is very good as well.Smokey Blue at VZ - Chocolate Truffle,Caramel Mocha, and Cream Charlotte are good choices - right?
Ill do it if someone else does it. maybe with the crab. I need to man up already. drew tried his crab. aperently its not that great . hahahahahaha its going to be worse going 2nd
Haha I hate seafood but all the disgust over crab juice makes me want to try it.Ughh.. It took more than a week of looking at the bottle before working up the courage to try it and... well... I've got a very lightly used bottle of FA crab I'd be more than happy to give anyone willing to take it lol
I have the tangelo , apple cinnamon, coconut cream , banana split and wild strawberry. I have never tried them. they smell really really good. I chickened out tho, I do not know much about them

I haven't tried it either. I just think its interesting how people have such a hard time describing it but it is pretty universally liked. Definitely sounds like the magic of AP to me. I don't usually like coconut as a primary flavor in e-juice but I have enjoyed the recipes I have been playing with. The only thing I haven't been able to pull out of these is the woody/tobacco flavors some people have described.I have not tried the real thing so I have no idea what it tastes like.
Your additions sound good and maybe after Thanksgiving I'll have time to play.
I may be wrong but I think a rep sent him free samples a while back. Thanks @wllmc ! Did you spring for the 2oz bottles? Or have you found a vendor here in the States selling smaller quantities?

With Hazelnut, Torrone and 2% Cookie I would think it would end up pretty nutty but all you can do is try it out.I put together an all FA Recipe that I think I'll like but would like to get some input or suggestions from the experienced mixologists on this forum. SEE:
Mandarin Cream Hazelnut Cookie FA
Caramel (FA) .5%
Cookie (FA) 2.0%
FA Vanilla Tahiti 1.0%
Hazelnut (FA) 1.0%
Mandarin (FA) 3.0%
Torrone (FA) 1.0%
Vienna Cream (FA) 2.0%
Strength: 20 mg
PG/VG-ratio: 35/65
Flavor total: (10.5%)
Was wondering if the Cookie has enough AP in it to enhance the hazelnut or should I add .5% AP?
Really appreciate any help or suggestions! This forum has been great for a newbie DIY!
THANKS SMOKY BLUE!!!id go something like this with that:
.5% Caramel (FA) .5%
2% Cookie (FA) 2.0%
1% FA Vanilla Tahiti 1.0%
.5% Hazelnut (FA) 1.0%
25 Mandarin (FA) 3.0%
.5% Torrone (FA) 1.0%
1% Vienna Cream (FA) 2.0%
but that is just me.. no need to add ap.. but if you do, i'd start at .25%
Does it have to be steeped and if so how long? I already have it saved to a wishlistDixie, black cigar is very good as well.

EWS, as you add ap to that, you will be in for a HUGE surprise!
AP with certain ratios of FA Hazelnut + FA Caramel + FA Vienna Cream = diacetyl-free peanut butter.
Dixie I only steeped the black cigar for about 4-5 days. I will also be mixing it with some of the truffles and then with some cream and vanilla. I can let you know how they turn out.Does it have to be steeped and if so how long? I already have it saved to a wishlist
I do this sometimes with HIC's recipies because I like em stronger, and I've done a lot of experimenting in this regard.FA flavors loosing flavor? I have read some FA flavors will loose their taste if they sit too long in a mix.
I have a recipe with a few FA flavors at 0.8%
I'm thinking if I upped each one by adding 0.5% it will boost flavor & not fade?
however, not wanting to overpower - thoughts?
what I'm wondering is
has anyone added equally to a recipe? where the recipe still tastes the same?
I haven't experienced this and I do a lot of mixing........ With the exception of some citrus's like lime. And I'm not sure if I am actually loosing flavor....... I'm beginning to think that other flavorings such as graham and custards/ creams are just slowly muting them slightly when slowly steeping.FA flavors loosing flavor? ?
Thanks.... Will try it. Have you tried it ? What do YOU think ?Got the perfect grape, so he says. It's not all fa, but here goes...
Made in 5mls base
Grape Juice tfa 10 drops
Apple fa 2 drops

Hubby says it's the best grape ever.

I'm not loosing any flavor if it's a purely fruit mix.
Any thoughts anyone ?

Thanks HIC, very useful for me! I like meringue flavor!Sucralose FAIL, a cautionary tale...
Most of us have discovered how Sucralose-based 'Sweetener' often wrecks a recipe as it ages, but sometimes I try failures again anyway. This time, I was wondering if VapersTek nic base would affect the results.
I split a highly-flavored recipe in half, sweetened one with 2% FA Meringue, the other with 2% Sucralose-based 'Sweetener'. I loaded them in separate mini protanks and vaped to compare the two versions. Both tasted much sweeter than the non-sweetened original.
First few puffs, it seemed 'Sweetener' had the lead. A few minutes in, the sweetness level was similar. I didn't notice any other changes as I finished both tanks over an hour or so. When both tanks were empty, I refilled to continue and noticed the same thing: by the time the tank had warmed the liquid a bit, 'Sweetener' was a bit less sweet. I puffed equally on both tanks a couple of hours. They were equally sweet, both acceptable to me. I left them sitting about 1/3 full overnight. (old-timers, remember the ditty, "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight")
7 hours later, the sweet in the Sucralose version has faded away AND took some of the sweetness from the other flavors with it. The overall flavor is noticeably muted and muddied when compared to the Meringue version. The Meringue version is still sweet and strongly flavored - the clear winner.
I know it's not news that Sucralose fades, but VT nic seemed to speed up the process. Perhaps more importantly, Sucralose wrecked the rest of the recipe so badly that just adding more sweetener is not going to fix it.
3 conclusions:
* If you use Sucralose, make small batches you can vape fast. If you use it with very clean nic, vape even faster.
* If you want to vape the same flavor the next day, avoid Sucralose sweetener.
* FA Meringue is one flavoring that sweetens more reliably for those who let their recipes steep/age/sit around. (Use 0.5-2%, depending on other flavors and total flavoring percentage)
I try everything
Sound delishAbolutely! I still vape this, which was pretty much an "I'm bored, what haven't I tried yet" throw together
Sounds gooodThis was inspired by Hammond Candy Factory's handmade, gourmet Vanilla Cream Filled Cinnamon Candy Canes (and their smaller 'straws' version). If you like sweet cinnamon-vanilla flavor or frosted cinnamon rolls, you'll like this.
HIC's VANILLA-CREAM CINNAMON STRAWS
1.5% FA Vanilla Classic
1.5% FA Vienna Cream
1.5% FA Meringue
1.25% FA Cinnamon Ceylon
0.75% FA Catalan Cream
0.75% FA Peppermint
Shake 'n vape! You'll taste very sweet, mildly spicy, cinnamon hard candy with frosting-like, cool vanilla cream filling.
Nonvapers told me the vapor smells 'kinda sweet' but otherwise no scent - which surprises me.
It's strongly flavored, like the real candies - so don't skimp on the flavorings
Won't add Ap I do really appreciate your input!EWS, as you add ap to that, you will be in for a HUGE surprise!

So I predict adding AP to the above recipe will give you pb & tangerine cookies. Could be interesting.
Thanks for that info. To let you know I have my 1 mini protank filled once a day for clove. Have to have at least 1ml. A day. But my all day seems to be a classic vanilla & Jamaican Rum & caramel with a touch of hazelnut. Always gotta have vanilla and rum! No more Miss, Mister! J/k!Ms D, you'd probably want a lot more Cinn Ceylon in that one
Speaking of spices, you clove fan you -- Hansen DJ Rum for kretek clove. mmmm! The other kretek flavorings I've tried didn't get it right, but this is good, and I think you'd like it. Mine came from ecigexpress.com
I tried it after mixing as I am the mixologist. Reminds me of grape koolaid, or a candy grape. I am not a grape flavour fan, but it's not a bad vape.Thanks.... Will try it. Have you tried it ? What do YOU think ?

It is! And the flavor from fresh to settled morphs beautifully. I commented on that one in the recipes more than once. I quite enjoyed that one. Give it a go!Sounds goood
I'm vaping FW Extreme Ice today at 10%. I have a little cough. Aheh Aheh. Everyone in my family has gotten this, but I haven't had it that bad... vape, vape, vape...
HIC or others, any ideas/thoughts/inspiration on a cinnamon danish vape? Not sure how to get that bread flavor. Do you think FA cookie, cinnamon, marshmallow and AP would be anywhere close? Maybe try with some Apple Pie?
I have a recipie I could give you love vanilla but it's a very high percentage TFA flavored and it's well over 20%.

It sounds like something I'd want to vape..........if only I had the right peanut butter.Reci-Pie is such an excellent Freudian typo.
Oh, I assumed LoveVanilla wanted diacetyl/sub-free. If not, there are some existing very good cinnamon danish flavors!
