HIC, I'm vaping my first round of Mocha Nips this morning, minus the meringue. Good stuff! I'm glad your recipe list convinced me to pick up the espresso; it's got a good flavor and will be a solid addition to a bunch of recipes. I originally quit the sticks with help from a coffee-ish vape, but when I went back to it after a six month hiatus, I found it to be too candy-like, and not very good. That's pretty funny considering how amazed I was by the coffee flavor when I first quit :)

I bump my flavoring down a little for low ohms like you're talking about, using 75% of normal mix ratio. I've been hitting the dual parallels lately too and you get a lot of flavor/vapor in 1.5-2 second draws!

That's with mainly fruit flavors. Haven't tried HIC's White Tic Tacs yet that far subohm.
dude the dual parallels are so sweet and simple if you have enough room to build on your rig. just a quick toot and tons and tons of vapor. I gave up on build when everyone started getting all crazy doing dual micro dragon ball z ultra bla bla bla lol. hey thanks for the advice. I used to hate sub ohms. I didnt get the " oooohhhhh and ahhhhh" maybe its a combo of the parallels and me just getting better at building. I not a newb by any means but practice makes perfect right lol. seems like my normal flavors are a bit light and faded but ill start by going down on the flavoring.

Sucralose FAIL, a cautionary tale...

Most of us have discovered how Sucralose-based 'Sweetener' often wrecks a recipe as it ages, but sometimes I try failures again anyway. This time, I was wondering if VapersTek nic base would affect the results.

I split a highly-flavored recipe in half, sweetened one with 2% FA Meringue, the other with 2% Sucralose-based 'Sweetener'. I loaded them in separate mini protanks and vaped to compare the two versions. Both tasted much sweeter than the non-sweetened original.

First few puffs, it seemed 'Sweetener' had the lead. A few minutes in, the sweetness level was similar. I didn't notice any other changes as I finished both tanks over an hour or so. When both tanks were empty, I refilled to continue and noticed the same thing: by the time the tank had warmed the liquid a bit, 'Sweetener' was a bit less sweet. I puffed equally on both tanks a couple of hours. They were equally sweet, both acceptable to me. I left them sitting about 1/3 full overnight. (old-timers, remember the ditty, "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight")

7 hours later, the sweet in the Sucralose version has faded away AND took some of the sweetness from the other flavors with it. The overall flavor is noticeably muted and muddied when compared to the Meringue version. The Meringue version is still sweet and strongly flavored - the clear winner.

I know it's not news that Sucralose fades, but VT nic seemed to speed up the process. Perhaps more importantly, Sucralose wrecked the rest of the recipe so badly that just adding more sweetener is not going to fix it.

3 conclusions:
* If you use Sucralose, make small batches you can vape fast. If you use it with very clean nic, vape even faster.
* If you want to vape the same flavor the next day, avoid Sucralose sweetener.
* FA Meringue is one flavoring that sweetens more reliably for those who let their recipes steep/age/sit around. (Use 0.5-2%, depending on other flavors and total flavoring percentage)

(about custard-note-free twinkies)

afaik, only Nature's Flavors makes Carrot flavoring, and their ingredient disclosure leaves something to be desired. If you vape mystery ingredients (anything other than FA's e-cig line and select TFA flavorings) very good carrot cake is possible. Too bad you don't like carrots, though!

;)

yeps too bad on NF's part..

now for some giggles.. :D

old recipe found off the net from years back and long forgotten..

4 drops PA Cinnamon
8 drops FA Irish Cream
8 drops FA Caramel (awesome with butterscotch too)
1 drop PA Absinthe (this is a tester flavor unfortunately, I think a redbull or jager flavor might be an OK sub tho?)
4 drops Ethyl Maltol (or other sweetener, adjusted for strength)

p.s.
If you omit the absinthe, you get carrot cake.
butterscotch is a lil bit better than caramel for the carrot cake

completely forgotten i had this one :)

Curly, it's not Twinkies, but it kind of reminded me of cake. I made a Golden Oreo Cookie recipe. If you like it, it wouldn't be a loss. If you don't... back to the drawing board. Day one it's really sweet. Day 2 and beyond, it really mellows into a creamy, fluffy vape. Still sweet, but doesn't need a good strong coffee to go with it. Not that that's ever a bad idea, either.

Abolutely! I still vape this, which was pretty much an "I'm bored, what haven't I tried yet" throw together :D

Hermit said:
This is pretty nice, and simple:

2% Bilberry
2% Apple Pie
2% Custard

Also works with 1% Raspberry instead of the Bilberry.

Add 1% Vienna Cream if you're feeling decadent!

Just put in another order, hubby likes HIC's Irish Cream Shake! Boy is he getting into risky now. I love it when he comes in and asks me if I have anything new to try! All these recipes y'all have shared so generously, thank you. I may be going broke on flavorings but I will have a smile on my face and a good taste on my tongue, lol.

Dagnabit! That sounds really good but have no apple pie. Was really debating it last night when ordering more FA flavors too.

This was inspired by Hammond Candy Factory's handmade, gourmet Vanilla Cream Filled Cinnamon Candy Canes (and their smaller 'straws' version). If you like sweet cinnamon-vanilla flavor or frosted cinnamon rolls, you'll like this.

HIC's VANILLA-CREAM CINNAMON STRAWS
1.5% FA Vanilla Classic
1.5% FA Vienna Cream
1.5% FA Meringue
1.25% FA Cinnamon Ceylon
0.75% FA Catalan Cream
0.75% FA Peppermint

Shake 'n vape! You'll taste very sweet, mildly spicy, cinnamon hard candy with frosting-like, cool vanilla cream filling.
Nonvapers told me the vapor smells 'kinda sweet' but otherwise no scent - which surprises me.

It's strongly flavored, like the real candies - so don't skimp on the flavorings :)

I have to say that I'm a bit flummoxed. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the FA Fuji, and I just tested it alone and in a recipe. All I taste is those apple Jolly Ranchers.

I made this tonight but I altered it a bit. I dropped cinnamon down to 1% and the Catalan cream to .5%.
That has plenty of cinnamon for me (but I don't like strong cinnamon) but the rest was light for my taste. I made HIC's Mocha Nips last week. I do like it but it is a bit strong for me. (See where this is going?)

I had the above recipe in the dripper and topped it with a couple of drops of Mocha Nips. OMG! I have been looking for THIS for a long time. :D
Thanks HIC!

Edited to add: I have very strange taste buds. YMMV

give it a few days, when I first mix it I get a lot of sour green apple, most dont I do not think. after a couple days it gets sweeter and "redder". maybe you are like me and can taste the sour stuff more. what % did you mix it at rocket ? I know if I go above 2 % its straight sour green apple. it mellows out after awhile tho. thats sucks you dont like it. I love the fuji and it mixes with other things so well

I think that's the first time I've read anyone say one of my recipes was strong for them. I'm glad it worked for you with the cinnamon-vanilla - sounds like a combo I'd also like. Give it a name and post it in Recipes!

I find it varies for me depending on how fresh my palate is - after food, it's usually not good at all! At its best, I get a juicy apple, nice mix of sweet and tart, with distinct apple skin notes. At its (my palate's) worst, it's sourer and much more one-dimensional. Steeping changes it a lot less than my palate does! I mix it at 3% standalone, and vape it in a mini protank 2 at low wattage. Flavour seems better with the tank kept topped up, more so than other juices perhaps.

was talking about this juice with someone http://www.gremlinjuice.com/blue-gremlin/ I have never tried it but does anyone have any ideas for pulling off a waffle flavor with FA ?

For a fully-decorated waffle, you might be able to mix Maple Syrup, a little Bilberry, maybe some light vanilla and/or tiny-tiny bit of Cookie, and have your taste buds fill in the rest. You know, kind of trick yourself. If you associate waffles with maple and blueberry, it has a good chance of working. Plain waffles though - not with FA (unless you use a Kitchen Magic flavor like Croissant, which has diacetyl)

As I said, my taste buds are strange. I have found most of your recipes weaker than this one and there are several things you taste that I just can't get such as FA Butterscotch I don't really taste at all. I play with the percentage in your recipes and it works for me. I like both Cinnamon and Coffee but I can't handle when they are over powering. I prefer them as a back note. Maybe if I get the weekend off next week I'll be able to post something.

Is too special, wllmc! With those vanillas and creams, you could use just about any strong flavor + background flavor for the first two ingredients. Coconut-Lime (mm!), Espresso-Irish Cream, Maple-Walnut, Tiramisu-Meringue, Blackberry(.25%)-Lemon, Honey(.25%)-Lemon, Cinnamon-Fuji, Raspberry-Black Tea, etc. Or you could use 1% of your favorite single flavor in place of the first two for a vanilla-cream-whatever. Vanilla cream (Nature's Flavors) Ginger - mmmm, vanilla-cream-peach, vanilla-cream-peppermint. Can you tell I've been deprived of mixing time, lol!

I can't believe how fast I went through a liter of VG:eek: I've been using Essential Depot, while I don't have any complaints, there is just something* about it(little voice in my head sayin it's not the best). I think I may try VT's or Bull City's, anyone have any other recommendations?

I mixed a blue custard a while back, thought it was good; 2% custard, 1% bilberry, 0.3% maple. ;)

I'm using BullCity's VG right now and have no complaints about it. Next time I get nic from VT, I may get their VG to see if I can tell any difference.
