HIC, I'm vaping my first round of Mocha Nips this morning, minus the meringue. Good stuff! I'm glad your recipe list convinced me to pick up the espresso; it's got a good flavor and will be a solid addition to a bunch of recipes. I originally quit the sticks with help from a coffee-ish vape, but when I went back to it after a six month hiatus, I found it to be too candy-like, and not very good. That's pretty funny considering how amazed I was by the coffee flavor when I first quit :)

I bump my flavoring down a little for low ohms like you're talking about, using 75% of normal mix ratio. I've been hitting the dual parallels lately too and you get a lot of flavor/vapor in 1.5-2 second draws!

That's with mainly fruit flavors. Haven't tried HIC's White Tic Tacs yet that far subohm.
dude the dual parallels are so sweet and simple if you have enough room to build on your rig. just a quick toot and tons and tons of vapor. I gave up on build when everyone started getting all crazy doing dual micro dragon ball z ultra bla bla bla lol. hey thanks for the advice. I used to hate sub ohms. I didnt get the " oooohhhhh and ahhhhh" maybe its a combo of the parallels and me just getting better at building. I not a newb by any means but practice makes perfect right lol. seems like my normal flavors are a bit light and faded but ill start by going down on the flavoring.

Sucralose FAIL, a cautionary tale...

Most of us have discovered how Sucralose-based 'Sweetener' often wrecks a recipe as it ages, but sometimes I try failures again anyway. This time, I was wondering if VapersTek nic base would affect the results.

I split a highly-flavored recipe in half, sweetened one with 2% FA Meringue, the other with 2% Sucralose-based 'Sweetener'. I loaded them in separate mini protanks and vaped to compare the two versions. Both tasted much sweeter than the non-sweetened original.

First few puffs, it seemed 'Sweetener' had the lead. A few minutes in, the sweetness level was similar. I didn't notice any other changes as I finished both tanks over an hour or so. When both tanks were empty, I refilled to continue and noticed the same thing: by the time the tank had warmed the liquid a bit, 'Sweetener' was a bit less sweet. I puffed equally on both tanks a couple of hours. They were equally sweet, both acceptable to me. I left them sitting about 1/3 full overnight. (old-timers, remember the ditty, "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight")

7 hours later, the sweet in the Sucralose version has faded away AND took some of the sweetness from the other flavors with it. The overall flavor is noticeably muted and muddied when compared to the Meringue version. The Meringue version is still sweet and strongly flavored - the clear winner.

I know it's not news that Sucralose fades, but VT nic seemed to speed up the process. Perhaps more importantly, Sucralose wrecked the rest of the recipe so badly that just adding more sweetener is not going to fix it.

3 conclusions:
* If you use Sucralose, make small batches you can vape fast. If you use it with very clean nic, vape even faster.
* If you want to vape the same flavor the next day, avoid Sucralose sweetener.
* FA Meringue is one flavoring that sweetens more reliably for those who let their recipes steep/age/sit around. (Use 0.5-2%, depending on other flavors and total flavoring percentage)

(about custard-note-free twinkies)

afaik, only Nature's Flavors makes Carrot flavoring, and their ingredient disclosure leaves something to be desired. If you vape mystery ingredients (anything other than FA's e-cig line and select TFA flavorings) very good carrot cake is possible. Too bad you don't like carrots, though!

;)

yeps too bad on NF's part..

now for some giggles.. :D

old recipe found off the net from years back and long forgotten..

4 drops PA Cinnamon
8 drops FA Irish Cream
8 drops FA Caramel (awesome with butterscotch too)
1 drop PA Absinthe (this is a tester flavor unfortunately, I think a redbull or jager flavor might be an OK sub tho?)
4 drops Ethyl Maltol (or other sweetener, adjusted for strength)

p.s.
If you omit the absinthe, you get carrot cake.
butterscotch is a lil bit better than caramel for the carrot cake

completely forgotten i had this one :)
