It's supposed to be 9 degrees here tomorrow. Gosh, I'm sick of winter. It was beautiful sunshine today, all the ice/snow melted, but I'm right on the edge of where it's supposed to land again tomorrow. I hate Jerry Springer, but he slipped onto my TV - tonight is stripper night - I bet those girls are cold!! Too much drama for me - off he goes.

Everyone will get that, too, @Zeeli . Licorice is anise plus spices plus molasses/caramel. Irish Cream has chocolate, which is better with licorice than most people think. Doubters should definitely try out your recipe! What will you name it? It deserves a name.
I'm horrible at naming things. But Swamp Juice comes to mind. Maybe because I live pretty close to the swamps.

Edit: After further tasting and pasting it around to some friends. We have decided to call it Absolute Sin!

Looks like I'm mixing up some of Zeeli's Absolute Sin, Wllmcs banana bread, HICs Blueberry-coconut smoothie, Dulce de leche curros, Country fair apple pie, Huckleberried's Golden Oreo, Caddisfly's Beach balls, and some creamy sparkling mandarine wine of mine, some of Mr T's Very vanilla custard, and somewhere in recipes I seen some good looking apple almond cake & some raspberry cream pie! What you all mixing? Anyone found MIA Jensy yet? Crampmolothew's white cake is great too, just finished that bottle off!

Hi all, I just did a quick test on VT VG and PG, must say since using WL over 2 years ago, then exclusively Essdep, VG PG. VT has a slight edge. I am not a descriptive person will try my best. I used Mechmod, standard single coil, 2mm, 6 wrap, rayon wick, Atomic RBA, about .51ohm for testing.
PG - ED 946ml = $11.37, VT 1000ml = $18.00
Essdep
batch 766647 fairly new 2015 bought- Smell -slightly chemically -Taste- strong Chemical taste to it and ever so slightly sweet.
-Vaped Flavor- definitely has a subtle taste of something, I wish i could place the taste but unfortunately cant. Definitely coats my tongue and back of my mouth.
VT lot X0124U just got it a few days ago, -Smell- has a faint smell to it but not as strong as the ED PG -Taste is about the same just less of it -vaped flavor- seems to be cleaner less of that chemically coated taste in my mouth while inhaling and exhaling. The taste is there but less of it. Think Banana at .25% (VT) VS 0.50%(Essdep) if it was a banana flavor.
The biggest difference is that the VT PG was smoother. But that might just be in my head, however i can tell a difference and the difference is a pro, using the VT PG.
VG- ED 946ml = 13.97, VT 1000ml = $18.00
Essdep
batch 89264700536-14100248 bought at the same time as the PG, -Smell- none beside the plastic bottle, -Taste- sweat sweat sweat, -Vaped Flavor- virtually no flavor but a subtle hint of musty. Huge fan of VG from Essdep but hoping the musty goes away, on to VT
VT lot 00814GR same order as the PG - Smell- bottle smell but it completely different of a smell, fainter when smelling side by side i can smell the essdep over the VT VG- taste just as sweet but different sweet profile, IMO the VT tastes better. -Vaped Flavor- something subtle is there, but just as smooth slightly less musky. Either one is a win in my book. On to the mixes

Essdep - 3ml 50/50, zero nic, 1 drop fuji - i can taste the apple, tried this first tasted great.
VT - 3ml 50/50, zero nic, 1 drop fuji- tastes great as well but i get a .0001% hint of crip or maybe apple skin. Im sure its in my head.

conclusion
essdepot and VT, VG are a win in my book, either or get the job done.
VT PG seem to be the clear cut winner here. IMO less chemically smell / taste on finger. Vapes a touch better.
As far as flavor goes ill keep experimenting, i have 200 mls of VT VG Nic cut with Essdep VG and just mixed 200mls of VT VG nic cut with VT VG.
I will only exclusively use VT PG to get my desired 70vg, 30pg mix, I feel like i am splitting hairs and was definitely hoping for a diamond in the ruff when comparing the two bases, unfortunately i found none, but fortunately at this point anything mixed with the FA Flavoring seem to be working 1000% better for me and have yet to buy juice from a store.
Enjoy :)

Thx, I thought about posting it over there, but i mainly wanted to share my experience with those bases here. Considering the wealth of information I was given other there and now here, (still only on page 81). I felt this was something I could do in return while I slowly learn the FA flavors. I currently feel like i was given a fish, but i really want to learn to fish ;) Even though i did not get the desired result from my experiment, i still figured it was worth talking about, and figured the best place to share was here.

I got his back. Lol. I won't make you suffer any more from the cold by posting pics, but it was a perfect day today.
Notice I did not hit the like bottom on your post that said it was 70 degrees there? Both our fathers are in Florida, but you got to watch out for all the old blind drivers!

Im looking for feed back please!
I put this together last night and it's pretty good imo.
4% Irish Cream
3% Caramel
1% Anise
.25% Cinnamon Ceylon
All FA of course.
I get a sweet inhale with a slight black licorice exhale. Let me know what yall get.
I made this today. I have to wait for an available tank, but will keep you posted. I'm sure I'm going to like it. I love the flavors in it.

Is FA Citrus Punch and Citrus Mix the same?
I'm not a real big fan of Anise but, I have TFA Anise and one of the recipes I got calls for (optional) 0.5% FA Anise so, do you guys think that will work fine without having to order more Anise?
If so, what %TFA to FA?

Edit: re-read it, TFA not FA on the citrus, duh

I haven't tried the TFA Anise, but give it try, I'm sure it'd be good. You could always add more if it's not strong enough. Anise plays very well with fruit, btw.

Citrus Punch (like Mtn Dew) and Citrus Mix (like orange, lemon, grapefruit, maybe lime?) aren't the same.

Ok all if you don't get some of Wllmcs Bailey's cinnamon vanilla from mamajs or the blueberry-Coconut smoothie from hics mixes your missing out big time! Just saying! Next up to try is Zeelis absolute sin! Ciesta first as I'm coming down with a nice bug!

Speaking of Royal... I've been enjoying Royal Tobacco at 4% for a while now. The other day I was mixing up a fresh 30ml, decided to cut out a 3ml sample and a couple drops of Clove(~2%). I didn't think I liked clove much but... wow it's really good. I may need to dial back the percentages a bit but I'm going to be making Royal Clove instead of straight up Royal from now on.
Found myself reaching for this quite a bit yesterday. Made up another batch to have in my rotation. Thanks.

Having bugs takes time away from mixing. Get well soon!

Question for the gang, with my inability to taste "nutty" flavors I'm still on the prowl for that one (or multiple) flavors that provide that nuttiness. I came across FA BYO Nutzilla sold by FA UK. I cannot for the life of me find a state side retailer for it. After reading more and being told by someone else I'm convinced it's a mix of FA concentrates. Anyone have any experience with this flavoring? Maybe a recreation?

Well, how's that for service? :)

Damn Curly, you're still searching, huh? Good luck to you and wllmc on this!
Yeah... My tasters are broken :/. Pretty awesome to get a answer directly and some help! I think I have every FA nut flavor except pistachio (I decided I'm ordering every nut flavor BCV has to offer). None of what I have gives me that nuttiness, standalone... I know there's a flavoring or combination that I can taste the nuttiness in, a West coast manufacturer makes a nutty ry4 I can definitely taste the "nuts" in (two peas in a pod). I am VERY fond of that flavor, can't get it over here on the east coast.

There is a chance that the flavor you are looking for is TFA's Toasted Almond. It has a nutty flavor and mixes well with RY4 Double. If you find the flavor you are looking for I'd like to know what it is.

It may be time to revisit TFA Toasted Almond.. If I remember correctly it tasted like peanut butter to me. What's your preferred %? Maybe some FA Nut Mix will assist in removing the "buttery" aspect of it... Honestly I played with it a little and forgot I had it. Most all of the flavorings I've tried in my search for this elusive nut flavor have been standalone, think it's time to see how they play with each other!

I like it from 4% to 8% if it is the main flavor. Less if just used for an accent.

Say Hello to my lil' friends - just came back from 4 days of playing golf in West Palm Beach area and look what I found.... :)
Mixed up HIC's XTRA SMOOTH Tiramisu cream.... Damn, the Tiramisu is a strong flavor! Instead of using syringe, I added 4 drops of each ingredient (eliquidmart 5ml bottles), which should put the percentage at ~1.25% (~10ML of finished product). Might have to dial it down a little next time around.

Why does the same flavor mix taste good in a kayfun tank, but tastes bad in a dripper? And how would I fix it?
I'm using a 50/50 vg/pg blend. Could that be the reason? 4mg nic. HIC's quick berry mix with increased flavor %'s.

Maybe @wllmc can answer? I am curious myself. Is there chocolate or any cocoa in it?

For drippers I use all VG except what Pg is in the flavors, so that is probably in the neighborhood of 90/10. Try mixing at minimum 70% VG. Also don't increase the flavor for a dripper. Although VG does tend to mute flavor, dripping intensifies it. So a wash. I also usually mix at 3% nic.

is your dripper coil setup drastically different than your kayfun ? meaning are you usuing like a 1.2 ohm on the kayfun and something crazy on the dripper like dual quad super ninja drangons with car batteries ? or are they pretty equal in build ?

There's no car battery! Its two car batteries! LoL

The kayfun is about 1.3 ohm. The dripper is running dual coil at .4 ohm each. I'm not really sure how the drippers work. Its a friends.
My guess was the flavor % was to high. So I dropped all the %'s down. Still has a bad taste. The only other thing I can try for him is running a higher vg %, or talk him into a kayfun lol

.4 each, so a .2 build. Run a higher vg. B&Ms are selling juices specifically for dripping that are all vg. I have to cut my all vg juices for my kayfun.

hahaha !!!!! only thing I see wrong here is you need one more battery . thats a pretty big difference in vape right there. I have to adjust everything down when I do low ohms. make sure you dont have any hot legs or something and its firing evenly. personally I like FA at low power versus high power. 1.3 ohms is perfect to enjoy every little detail in the complexity that is FA. Dont get me wrong you can still get great flavor with high power but its just not the same. steeping FA for a few days seems to help also for high power builds , its not so shake and vape friendly. Raising the VG like you mentioned should help a bit also.

I would tend to look at the wicking before altering a recipe or changing PG/VG levels just for simplicity sake. If the wick is too tight it will choke and give a harsh hit. My vapes do quite well from .4 up to 2.1 ohms
