What you could do is mix all your flavoring together for a recipe in a small bottle, then add to nic base as needed. I've started doing that with recipes I know I'll be using often, then only mix 15ml at a time.

If that makes sense.
Since moving to FA , I have started doing the same thing. I have a 6ml nic base at about 96% base, then I can do "quickie mixes" of 5ml testers or 30 to 60ml bottles.

I do a lot of fruits so I do prefer them fresh. With FA it seems to be better fresh. Long term steeping to me is two days...lol..... What can I say?

Anyway, I keep two 250ml premixed nic base's on the ready.

I was thinking about myself before I jumped in a DIY forum and wished I would have joined in sooner

For you simple fruity vapors out there..... ( we know your watching and lurking) I have a good simple one for you to try and think you will like.
I call it Peach cocktail, but you can change the main flavor around to any thing you want (as in a light fruit) and it will come out yummy.

White peach 2.5%
Strawberry. 2%
bilberry. 1%

I originally did the peach at 2% and it's more of a triple fruit concoction that's nice, but the more I vape it, I like the peach in the forefront so much that I have gone to 3 % and now after a couple weeks of steady vaping I went to 4% this morning. That may be a bit heavy for most, but I like it.

You can keep the two minor notes in there and replace the peach with something like Fuji Apple or whatever and it will change the whole dynamic of the taste/experience.

This is really basic stuff, but using my TFA, I never could change these fruit flavors around with such accuracy or confidence.

You can add a bit of Vienna cream and fresh cream at about 1% each to any singe or tri fruit mix and you may think you have died and gone to heaven.

So, with that said, any of you lurkers out there, jump on in here and say hello.

Many of us appreciate the complex concoctions, but we also appreciate the simple mixes as well ..... :)

Who would have ever thought I would broaden my taste bud "horizons" by vaping???

LOL, I keep 250ml nic base handy as well. I mix it at 5% but then use it 50/50 with pure VG, then flavorings, so wind up around 2.5mg. Still seems like I go through it SO fast.

And totally agree about mixing FA fruit fresh!

That's a great idea about prefixing favorite flavors. I never did that before, but I will now. Great idea!!

I'll tell you , this thread moves so fast and furiously and the experience level is so high that I just keep learning new things every week. It was hard to keep up at first but I'm holding on tight and going for a fun ride.

You guys have me mixing stuff up I've never even heard of !!

This has been the greatest thread that I have ever been a part of.

Ok ...... I'm done :)

Not my great idea at all idea, came from one of the veteran DIY wizards either here or "the other place". Works a treat when you have a bunch of flavors in a recipe and/or dealing with tiny percentages!

Sometimes it does work though. Most my fruit mixes do pretty well over top of one another but every now and then a bad combo sneaks up and forces an RDA cleaning!

Bet it's still better than 99% of vendor juice!

Oh snap! You doing the kayfun thing again too right? That's a bit more work to clean and rewick.

I actually look forward to this sometimes. I get annoyed at the end of a tankful. Time to clean coils and rewick! The only drawback is the wick working itself in. Fresh wick is p.u.

I had a conversion tonight with a friend about taste buds. Since I haven't had tobacco (15months) I taste some foods differently or perhaps crave diff foods more. I've always liked fruit, veggies, spices etc.

And now the change in my taste buds have also changed what flavors appeal to me. I may stick to the same two ADV flavors but always experimenting and finding a new tasty mix

Is that :

2.5% White Peach
2% Strawberry
1% Bilberry

or is it

2.5% White Peach
0.2% Strawberry
0.1% Bilberry?

I'm guessing the former but just wanted to double check. Ordering the remainder of my FA flavors tomorrow, and I'm definitely a frugivore.

Thanks for the help. I am wondering if part of the fade issue isn't that it is so darn hot and humid right now. Once it cools off, will see if this makes a difference and in the mean time will try some white vinegar. Even my clear VT nic has turned light brown in this heat.

So was just kicking it around @ 3AM browsing some resellers and happened to stumble across one of the 'authorized resllers' / 'partners' of Flavour Art. The good news is that I found a way to get FA flavors for as cheap as $0.14 per ml. The bad news is that you have to order a liter to do it. I really really really wish they carried 120ml sizes, unfortunately it's 10ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml. $0.17 per ml for 250ml isn't bad though. Now I just have to try to figure out how I can use 250ml of FA flavor before it goes bad...I'm thinking 500 50ml bottles of something really tasty.

Still good stuff to know though.

remember.. I posted up a few months ago, on working with vinegar..

light flavors need white vinegar..
while dark flavors like your dark tobaccos and dark chocolate need the apple cider vinegar..

I have been playing with additives for a long time, and i try to learn from my experiments..
sometimes i do screw up, but playing is half the fun.. the other is vaping it all up! :) :p

New one to me! Prices are high on 10mls, but I guess if you need larger quantities it's a different story. They do have one alarming recipe for FA flavors on there though, using 26% FA flavoring LOL Guess that's one way to use up your 250mls:eek: http://flavorjungle.com/recipebook/?p=917#comments

Is that like the way I do it or something new? ...cause if it saves time, I want to know about it! (not that I'm an impatient person...heh)

Plain old FA Strawberry and Kiwi at 2% each is pretty good. Simple. I have a hard time mixing fruits. Maybe I'm over thinking it.

@HeadInClouds, do you have a papaya/coconut recipe?

From my recipe list but not posted anywhere... I liked 1.5% FA Papaya, 1% FA Coconut, 1% FA Custard very much and made a note that it's pretty strongly flavored (for me!) with those percents. Papaya has become one of my favorites, but I might not have any recipes posted with it.

I'm far behind reading this thread - will catch up in a day or two.
