The whole left - right thing appeals to the masses and their most base instincts. Being able to draw a line right down the middle is something the corporate media does. I don't know anyone under the age of 50 who can so easily group themselves and others into one category or the other. I make it easy on myself and just call anyone who is that narrow minded an idiot.
Most of the country is not left-right. The problem you have is that the globalists have pissed off so many people that it's become an either/or choice. The nationalists have been given a nationalist candidate and that candidate was on the right. The constant attack on that candidate, largely from the left, drives people to support the right. Sure, there are globalists on the right like McStain and Graham Cracker. But, most of a nationalists support is on the right at this time. It's America first and the left is actively supporting Mexico first, Iran first, Syria first, EU first. That has forced support for the right.
Now, you certainly can cite polls that are often proven wrong, media that stacks liberal reporters interviewing other liberal reporters and commentators and a small but very loud and often violent thugs in large cities to assume I'm wrong but that is just obtuse. The win didn't just go to Trump. It went to the House, The Senate, State Govenors and State Legislatures.
It's either support the right with an America first agenda(whether some of them like it or not) or support the globalist left. I fully support the right, and that has never happened before in my lifetime. The rioting just confirms that I was right in my choice.
