I'm confused about this "anti-american" concept that keeps floating around from the left. Who defines "anti-americanism".

Trump certainly won the election. So it would seem to me that Trump and his policies are in fact american. Certainly, I see people on the TV all the time saying things like, "This isn't what America is." "This is what America stand for." People think this or that. But, who the hell are they to decide what America is or is not? Who the hell are they speaking for? Trump won. Trump is what America is. That's an objective fact, not a subjective opinion.

Great thing about this country is it can mean different things to different people. For me it's the ideals, values and principals that embodied what America is. When they materialize in my mind they take the form of a representative democracy, a free press, an impartial justice system, a place to worship freely... For me, America does not take the form of Donald Trump because only a small percentage of Americans (1% sounds about right) can identify with someone that rich and powerful. Just like all the presidents before him, he was elected by the majority to represent a tiny minority.

What makes your Ideals and your principals better than those that elected Trump? What makes your ideals and principals more American than mine? I am an American. Why do you get to speak for me about what is antiamerican? When you use the word American or antiamerican you include me in your vision. I don't agree with your vision.
