Aren't they only 15 amp?

Sent from my SM-G870W using Tapatalk
That's what Samsung rates them at but I believe Mooch said they are about equal in performance to a LG HG2. I think the reason for that is Samsung is conservative in their ratings. I also think that even though 25R's are rated at 20 amps, you wouldn't have a problem pushing them to 25 amps. I'm not saying you should do that, but it's what I believe.

Cheers,
Steve

How many ribbons do you stack for your typical staple coil?
I have one I'm throwing together with 10 but I'm probably going to frame it. On the fence with that. Going to throw in my boreas when it shows up to throw on my g2.

What are your other devices?

The G2 has a relatively deep 510 (could be 1 or 2mm deeper), just not deep as a few atomizers with overly long 510 connections.
I think we are talking about two different things. I'm not talking about up down depth. I'm talking about the depth of each thread your rda or tank uses to stay attached. The up down is fine. It's the others that need work, IMO.

My other devices, none with this issue: hexohm, sig 150 watt box mod, several mechs, sig 50 watt box v2, mvp 2.0 used for taking rdas apart. I have them hidden so that's all I can remember.

I shouldn't have to tighten an rda to the bottom to stop wobble. None of my others do that do I know the rda is fine. Also, both rda bases do the same thing. It's only a matter of time until before breaks, I think.

Ahh the thread depth, I have a device that's worse but yes I understand now and agree the threading is a bit deep.

My mutation is tight so it may be a comp vape issue or a combination. Guess I need to find an rda that's fits nicely and vapes well but I don't really see any that sing to me right now.

I did 10 and thought it was something to write home about.... it's hard to get all the ribbons to stay tight especially when I put it in the drill. My drill kinda sits at an angle so it doesn't just go straight across to my spinner thingy.. such a pain in the ass, I have to keep it at an angle or it totally mess the ribbons up. I might just need to get a new drill.. Does framing it make it easier to deal with? when I got to wrapping it kept buckling in weird places.. pretty sure I just totally screwed it up.. but I did get one coil out of it..

I wouldn't say it makes it easier. I have yet to make a successful framed staple. My frames always roll on me. I just have to take my time doing it this time around.

Just dropping in to let you all know, on the Hohm Tech FB page they are saying it will ship on Saturday/Monday. This is what they posted:
Sorry, Ben doesn't handle social media much, he just helps direct our PR focus and such. We see ourselves shipping most likely by Saturday/Monday to distros and pre ordered retail locations. All I can really say is we are around the clock working, no ones sleeping here on the job :)

I see that IMR is carrying the hohm tech batteries now! The question is which ones to get a) hohm life, or b) hohm work! Hohm life is 20.7 A continuous and 3077 mAh; the hohm work is 21.5 A continuous and 2531 mAh.

I have the hohmworks. They haven't caused me any issues running up to 130w.

What does the percent do? Does it just make it vape in TC or does it affect something else too?

I dont know the technical answer, or even how it REALLY works, but my uber dumbed down explanation is that different wires have different resistances and different properties to them, which is why theres always separate settings for Ni, SS, Ti, etc. So when using the XXX function (Kanthal also since apparently kanthal can vary wildly) you need to adjust the percentage to compensate for the differences. Thats how I understand it anyway.

In actual practice what you do is (or what I do anyway) put your built up atty on, set it to XXX or Kanthal, set to to whatever temp/power you want, and vape on it. If its too hot, turn the FSK percentage down, if its too cool or nonexistent, turn it up. Repeat until you find a number that gives you the proper vape. Doing it this way kind of negates the temp setting, since you cant be sure exactly what temp your vaping at, but it doesnt really matter since its not getting hot enough to do anything negative. Using this method I dial in perfect "TC" vapes on Kanthal and SS all the time. I dont even bother with the presets anymore.

@Mythical_OD Thanks. I could not figure out why some times my TC kanthal was blazing with the same temp settings and other times not. That pesky FSK.
Adjust the fsk curve. I had to change it because I was running dual aliens and it wouldn't fire or would fire too hot

I need help with my builds. As you know I love my 13 Heavens rda and have been using a .4 22g kanthal single coil build. This tastes great on all my mechs and my hexohm. I cannot get this to perform well on the g1 or g2.

I have 22g, 24g, 26g and maybe 28g kanthal. I have mutation x v3, el cabron, 454 big block, plume veil, lycan, velocity, and velocity mini, and 13 heavens rdas. What builds can I do that will give me better flavor? I also have 24g and 28g ss 316l wire. It does not have to be TC only.

I am at a loss. I really need suggestions on this. Guess I have been using mechs too long or my juice is made for mech power, I don't know.

Does raymo have a website or do you just PM him to buy his coils?

Thanks for the recommendations. I admit, excellent work and way above my skill level. I am just not interested in something like that. Going to build something.

Who has the best price on the g2 right now? I'm digging the red
Just remember the red isn't red. When you see it in person it's a darker orange. Ray and I have one if you look back at previous posts. Just in case you really wanted red like I thought it would be

When you are at ecig.com there is usually a pop up to chat, just ask the person on the other end for a coupon code and they will usually hook you up.

From what I can gather, on the g2, the only difference is that the symbols are done in silver instead of the same color as the box.

Oh, I miss read that post. There's a lot different between the G1 and G2. I'm not qualified enough to explain them though. Sorry

If they are both g2s then its just the symbols arent colored on the normal version

They aren't machined out, they are simply stamped on the regular edition.

It's more than just coloration :)

The limited edition has better grip due to the machined cutouts, other than that it's purely cosmetic.

Question is do I use my black Boreas or a brass goon on my holm wrecker? I ordered the g1 for a good price in orange so might get a g2 in a better color to match the brass goon. Decisions decisions..
