I'm doing all I can to resist. As soon as I read what Duecesjack was saying about the blue, I almost caved, then read on to see he is a merry prankster. And an enabler.
Not gonna lie I did giggle when I read this. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Lmao. I knew that blue comment would raise some eyebrows. Lol. Vapocolypse man, stock up now all you can. After the 8th it's a whole new ball game.

What happens after the 8th?

August 8th man, no new mods after that for at least 2 years. That's why these companies are pumping out all the mods and tanks they can.

What gets my goat is no new firmware updates. They should at least have the chance to perfect what we already have, But Noooooo. Can't have that.

Yeah, I don't even understand how they could stop an update. Someone should just create a site with a nameless owner where all the manufacturers can just drop their updates. Kind of like a Dropbox for the vape community. That would really put a bug in the FDA'S ass.

Where are the download files for the G2 now? Have they removed them? I don't remember them being this difficult to locate.

Get your credit cards ready, G2's for $55 (refurbished) and $65 to $70 (New) at vaporcube, here is the link: http://www.vaporcube.com/4th-July-2016-sale.html
For the refurbished the code is: G2REFB
For the new G2: G2WRECKER65OFF

Got the silver one from ecig for $73 and was thinking it was a refurb but turns out it isn't.
After testing, I liked it enough that I felt the need to add the bronze red and burnt orange to my collection.
Using those discount codes saved me a bunch, thank you very much for posting.

I'm currently on firmware 2.4.7.
I see that two have been released since then.
2.5.1 and 2.5.5
Anyone know what changes were made for either?
I thought I read someone that one of them wasn't worthy of upgrading to but don't recall where I read it or which version it was referring to.

If you go to the download page at http://hohmtech.com/product/hohm-wrecker-g2/ they have descriptions on what each upgrade does, you don't have to do both, you can just do the latest and it will include all previous upgrades as well.

One of them has a new algorithm to increase battery life by a whopping 3% :slowclap: and the latest increases wattage from 151 to 171.

Dang, I could have saved about $8 in shipping if I would have just ordered the Red, Black and Blue G2's at the same time. Got the Red and Black, now just waiting for the Blue to be shipped on Tuesday.

I have to say that the refurbs I have gotten so far have been like new, even the Red where I first thought there were some scratches on the screen it turns out the screen cover is still on there and I can peel it off, just like new. Can't wait to get the Blue, I am hoping it pops like the Red.

That's what I said Friday then picked up a black on Saturday. I did resist a purchase today, though.
Yeah if I was you guys I wouldn't stop until I had every color in every edition. Especially at that price, come on man. Lmfao.

I'm thinking about getting a G2. Not sure why because I don't use TC. That is if you people didn't buy all of them...;) But a question about firmware updates. I'm sure there are limits on updates to any board without changing components or the whole board. I guess it's good to be able to make adjustments after a mod has been put on the market. To fix things that didn't come out in testing and to max out what the board can do. But it's something I haven't concerted myself with. So how many updates would you expect to max out a board?

Kanthal tc about 50% watt to tc is a glorious thing. I am getting hours and hours and hours out of it.

The only updates are on the site. Not really sure what you're saying about maxing out a board. Kanthal TC is great.

The kanthal TC is part of the reason for looking at the G2.

I guess I don't get what the big deal is for some people about being able to update the firmware. I've seen post that someone won't buy mod-x because you can't upgrade the firmware. The only reason I can come up with is they want to know the board can be adjusted if it's not preforming to specs. I just prefer to keep things simple. Play with the build and adjustments till I find the sweet spot for me then forget it.

The reasons for the emphasis on the updates are many.

1.) Ability to fix known issues and bugs. Just look at what happened with the 213.
2.) Add new materials
3.) Increase wattage if possible.
4.) Add presets and tcr.
5.) Do minor adjustments and tweaks.

I was about 95% power only guy until i got the G2, now I TC everything. The G2 in xxx mode hits as hard as anything else i have in power mode but i don't have to worry about a dry hit. Really with the G2 it is not about just avoiding dry hits either, i just love it because i can tweak my vape to exactly how i want it rather quickly.

Thanks...That's what I was wondering about.

Oh to buy or not to buy.....what is the chance these will be dropping in price from the $130 mark? Or should I just say fuck it and pull the trigger?

I am almost to the point of having a different mod for every day of the month.... @africamonk , I think we need to start a vapers anonymous group...
I just order off vaporbeast 83.99

The credit goes to raymo, he informed me and a lot of us about xxx mode. It is also great for me as i have a lot of tanks and can't remember which have SS or kanthal coils, doesn't matter in xxx mode

One refub cut metal silver G2 ordered. I figure if they refurbished it they likely checked everything. At least I hope they did.

If this is your first hohm tech mod then take some time to look through this thread, a lot of valuable info in here. It will definitely cut down the learning curve, once you figure it out it is really easy.

So far I am liking this G2.
Found a tank that it doesn't like (Tobeco Super Tank) but so far, it has worked on 23 other tanks.
Even two that I wasn't very impressed with before, now seem to vape better.
(IPV Pure and HorizonTech Krixus)

Is it the super tank 25? My normal size super tank works fine but the 25 wont work on it, first tank to do so.

I agree with it making tanks i wasn't impressed with a lot better. The vaporeso gemini with the SS ceramic coil is a lot better now, not going to buy more coils for it, ceramic is not doing it for me.

Nope, original Super Tank.
But I've only tried one of them out of the four I have.
I have plenty of other tanks and plenty of other mods.
If one particular tank doesn't work on one particular mod, I am NOT concerned.

That's odd, my original super tank works on all 4 (soon to be 5) of my Hohm tech mods but the 25mm version doesn't work on any of them, the only tank that doesn't. Might be the coil installed, just got it so will find out when I switch out the coil.

First G2 being delivered tomorrow!! Can't wait! I have windows 7 on my computer so we'll see how the upgrade process goes???

My refurb G2 came with the latest update already on it and the other one didn't so you might want to check first. Easiest way to check is the old firmware will show the XXX setting as XXX, the new one they changed it and it looks like xXx. The new firmware also goes up to 171 watts, the old goes to 151.

If you get it done successfully, info on how would be appreciated. Also, the firmware version installed on the mod is listed in the main menu; hold plus/minus & mode button for 2 seconds.

As far as the refurbs here is the response I got from vaporcube and Hohm Tech:

The refurbished units are going to be the most pristine returns we have received. large scratches/dents should not be present.

Ooops! I did it again! So, during the Memorial Day weekend I bought 3 more G2s to keep company to my orange red one. I had sold one to CDrover, btw it made it to Canada without problems so I was down to 3 of my own. Theeen, one of my co-workers kept looking at the one I had with me and since he's trying to quit analogs....now i was down to only 2 G2s and one Slice! I just had to order another G2, blue this time. So now I have a red, white (silver) and blue G2 set!!! Isn't that patriotic!:stars2::confetti: Happy 4th everyone!

My black G2 came in from wholesale vapor. I've been running my black Aromamizer Supreme on it. I went ahead and ordered a blue refurbished from vapor cube. That's 3 G2s and two Slice. Hopefully that's enough. Three is an odd number though...

The FSK chip continues to perorm.
