It's more about the software than the hardware, nothing particularly special about the board.

The software is impressive, especially being the Atmega is a bit challenging to program.
Sweet!
Do you know which Atmel μC they are using, is it an AVR or one of the ARM Cortex's?

Is there any indication when they will make another more modern dual or triple battery device?
They're working on a triple 18650 mod and a dual 26650 mod named the Hohm Run. Both will not be available here due to the over reaching regulations.

Well I turned my G2 off this morning before going to work. Come home and it won't turn on. Nothing, checked the batteries, even took them out and still nothing. guess I'll pull the cover and see if a wire came loose. If not I'll have to order another one. Sucks cause I won't get it till next week if I do. At least my Fuchai 200W is okay.

Before you pull it apart. Plug it into your computer. Have the latest update ready to go. Plug the computer side of the wire in first. Then plug the mod side but first hold the +- button down as you plug the mod in. It's kind of like a factory reset. Let me know if it works.

Thanks for trying. It was a refurb anyway. The local B/M had one I may see fi they still do. If not I'll just order a new one. Maybe a new board for this one.

My refurbished g2 issue is the up internal button is like broke or the plastic button is bent or crooked. Sucks. Don't know if it's worth the hassle to send it in, as it has gotten worse. It's stiff like it's stuck or other times it seems crooked like the inside of the plastic button is at a slant.

Call Jacob, I'm pretty sure at the very least they'll send you a button. They normally don't ask to many questions. Remember, they're vapers just like us.

I don't see why not. The nice thing about HT is you can call there and a real person answers the phone. Give them a call and see what they say. The worst they could do is say no. All the people there are very reasonable, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I just got in my G2 today, I will say this the best vape I have ever had. I do not own any dna chips, but have about 10 other mods that I know wish I could sell. I had watched a number of you tube video's on it. It came in, I upgraded the chip, threw a kanthal build on temp control on it immediately. Set the fsk mode, and the auto temp controll to battery saver. Set it to 450 degrees and it is absolutly the best vape I have ever had. I was going to get the slice, but decided to go with the g2 as I do not own any 26650 batteries, and thought it would keep it simple and stay with just one type of battery. I also got the impression the slice's paint was not as durable. The G2 has the reputation of being very well built. I personally do not mind the box, I understand why some people do not like it so much though. Got it at a great price as it is a manufacturer refurbished. This thing is brand new to me and sitting here thinking about buying another one as they are such a good price.

Congratulations and welcome to the club. The G2 is like a potato chip, you can't have just one. Lol.

Congrats! Great mod at a killer price. The refurbs I have gotten all look like new and perform flawlessly, can't recommend them enough.

Not refurbished. Ecig had every color for a while. They ran out of most now. Only other site is vapercube which is 100 but there is a coupon code for 40% off its the 4th of july and it still worked last time it was checked. Vapercube is refurbished though.

You can always use vapecrawler.com to check prices

I can't remember off hand what the coupon code is but it is somewhere in this thread. I want to say it is something like $58 shipped for a refurb G2 at vaporcube, $63 if your in California including tax. I have the code on my laptop, not on my phone though.

Edit: check around July 4th posts, that is were the coupon codewas posted.

BTW, big thanks to @Deucesjack and all you other enablers in this thread. I have been following this thread for a long time, and lusting for a G2. My step son got me one for an early Birthday/Christmas present. Thanks to this thread, I was able to update and run the G2 without any issues. This is by far the best mod in my collection. I hope I can afford to buy at least one more eventually.

Happy to be of assistance to all my vape family here. Yes, I am an enabler but on the bright side I try to enable my VU brethren to buy products I use, love, and truly believe in. I love the HT lineup. Glad you love the G2 and if you have any questions at all there are a lot of really knowledgeable G2 vapers here. Congratulations, enjoy, and welcome to the G2 club.

Thanks! I'm sure I'll eventually have a question, but you guys covered so much about setting this thing up in the thread that I felt like I'd owned this mod for months as soon as I started vaping it. I'm running it Auto+ SS316 full insanity mode at 520F with my Mutation X v4 RDA... Awesome vape!:D

The coupon code for referbs is G2REFB. The referbs on Vaporcube.com are the ones listed at $99 with the coupon it's $54 before shipping. My referb looks and works like a brand new one. I think I need another silver one since they hit the hardest... I think I just enabled myself...

I got my manufacturer refurb yesterday and it looks new. I love this mod so much gonna order another one this weekend. I kind of wish I had never ordered it. I was perfectly content with what I had and I definately did not need another mod. I guess I have probably between 10-15 mods, and have not even used some of them. I thought that is enough mods for me. I ordered this thing and now I don't even really want to use any of the other mods now, just want to use this one. The vape is different on this one. I got the solid black, and I know I want the solid colors, but I do not know which color I want next. I really hate to get another black one. That seems just so boring to have 2 of the same color. I am leaning toward red or silver, but I just can't make up my mind.

While I am in here I want to try to clarify something. I only vape on SS or Kanthal. IF I use SS I am only using the presets for SS. IF I go into Kanthal temp control I adjust the Fsk value. So I guess what I am asking is, the only time I need to go into the fsk value is when I temp contol kanthal or xxx mode? I have not been in the xxx settings yet.

What works for me is just setting it to kanthal TC mode with the latest firmware 2.5.7. I'm not needing to mess with the FSK, but if it doesn't seem to work for you go ahead and change the FSK to your liking.
