I still say a good single coil Rta with bottom airflow beats out a dual coil Rta in the flavor department. Plus you don't have to run it at these insane wattages to get a fantastically satisfying vape. Just my humble opinion, yours may vary.

I can wait for my Ammit to land at the house. I am looking forward to that airflow on that and see what flavor that can be pulled out of that single coil.

it's true to a point. i build small fused claptons (3mm 3-4 wraps) single coil in my aeronaut and get really good flavor and battery life. only needs about 50 watts. but it still won't be quite as good as going with a dual, but it's more then acceptable and very close

Truth. One of the reasons the Hadalay Rda and the Kayfun are flavor machines. Both are single coil.

Yup, I tend to agree, but I chase flavor not clouds. I'm also tending toward simpler coils and lower wattage. One recent exception to bottom airflow for me has been the Wismec Theorem, single SS316 notch coil and tremendous flavor. Looks a little strange though.

eta: forgot to say how good this is on a G2 in SS TC.

My default coils I build have been dual 2x28ss430 wrapped in 37ss316 wrapped 5 times at 2.5mm. I have that build in my Petri RTA, Alleria, and my Conqueror. I love the density of the vape. Anytime I go single coil, I don't get that density. So I am looking to the Ammit to hopefully fix that. Also, I will probably bump up to a 3-3.5mm coil with that. Depends on the space I have in there!

I enjoy that notch coil in my Merlin. Everyone shits on them but I love em. I have over 100. The flavor is great and the ramp up is just instant. I just wish they made the leads thicker.

I have cheap ones that I got from Fasttech a while back... they are horrible. I have never got them to work for anything. That and the leads always snap off on me. BAH!

Which ones are you buying?

I am beyond pissed...I have contacted vaporcube.com now three times regarding my order and they have yet to respond. Here is the situation, the order is hung up in USPS it shipped out from CA on Dec 5th and had an expected arrival date of Dec 8th. I understand with the holiday season late shipping and all but what upsets me is the fact that vaporcube hasn't reached out to me to at least say they have tried looking into this matter. So yesterday I went ahead and called USPS and they opened up a claim for my package and I am supposed to hear back from a supervisor in a couple days...

Anyways bottom line I won't be ordering from these guys again and is there anything else I can do? Should I call my CC company and dispute the charge? Thanks in advance.

That sucks, I have only contacted vaporcube once and it took them 2 days to get back to me but if I remember right it was Jacob pulling double duty with Hohmtech. After that I just contact Hohmtech directly if I have questions.

USPS sucks big ass right now, I have a package that left LA 3 days ago (I am 45 miles from Downtown LA) and it has yet to update, it is just stuck there.

I am sure they will get it sorted out for you but unless it was shipped next day air I don't really know what can be done about it. Still sucks, I hope you get your G2 out of the USPS hell soon.

I wonder what the black friday sales figures were like, did they break records? Looks like they weren't prepared for the volume, don't remember shipping delays this bad.

I can understand back east were there getting snow like crazy for delays. To travel 45 miles in Cali though the only snow we have here is the mounds of bugar sugar the studio execs have piled up.

Heh, noses rimed with the frost of Medellin, lol. We got 8 inches of the Yankee kind yesterday back here in the Berkshires.

Prelim reports I've seen say online black friday sales surpassed B&M sales by a sizable margin and did set a record.

I bought the iwodevape ones from fasttech. I like the ones with the leads on the same side. Easier mounting for the Supreme/Boreas/Merlin.

I think those are the ones I got. The leads are on either side. I had them in my boreas when I had it but they didn't do too well. Basically I probably just wasn't setting the temp and watts correctly. That and I kept breaking the leads.

Yeah, the ones with the leads on either side are a PITA to work with unless you have a Serpent Mini style deck. I was running dual Notch coils in my Boreas and the vape was fantastic. I have yet to throw them in the Supreme but when the coils I have in there go the Notches will be next. I might throw a Notch coil in my Ammit if it ever fucking gets here. lol.

Mines been floating down the Yangtze for like 10 days now. For the price I paid I can't complain though. I'm waiting on that, another Serpent Mini, Merlin Mini, White Bone, and a couple of prototypes I was asked to test out.

Nothing from VaporCube or Hohm Tech so far. How long do you guys think I should reasonably leave it? Email was sent Saturday - but obviously can't count the weekend, but it's in their inbox which they've 'had access to' for 2 full business days.

I would give it until Thursday or Friday. I missed if you said, have you tried calling?

I'm in the UK. That would be a last resort due to cost. I could go and get one of those cheapo international sims if I have to, but I am hoping they're going to reply to my email. I contacted PayPal today to see where I stand and they're happy I have a NAD item - but I really don't want to just push the red PayPal button as I am hoping Hohm Tech are going to step up and show some of that great CS that they're renowned for.

I fully understand not wanting to call.

I'm guessing they simply haven't gotten to your email yet. I used to run tech support/customer service for a software company and we would get about 600 emails over a typical weekend. We only had 60K customers, I can assume they are similar.

weird, I got a very fast reply from vaporcube about my button issue on a 2 month old g2. I than emailed hohmtech and a matter of minutes I got a reply and what to try to solve the problem. I did what I was instructed and I have not had a issue with the + getting stuck or feeling crunchy! hohmtech knows there product and is great to get help from. vaporcube was not much help on the device it's self but did reply fast and send me in the right direction. props to both.

yesterday.
Curious what their instructions were on how to fix it?
remove board, remove buttons and reseat them. I actually washed all my buttons just incase there was any juice which there was on the fire button. I'm thinking about painting my buttons white or seeing if a buddy can make new ones with his 3d printer.

incase no one believes me.

note, I am a repeating customer so bare in mind I'm not some random person that bought one or two devices and complaining about every little Benin detail.

It should make absolutely no difference AT ALL if I am a new or returning customer. If anything, pleasing a few regulars who already like the product and not gaining the trust of new customers is far more likely to be the reason for any financial strain due to a dwindling customer base. And as for benign details - I have already said that maybe one or two of these things wouldn't be an too much of an issue, but I have a whole bunch of 'benign' issues. Some of them aren't even benign.

If VaporCube/HohmTech want me to file a case against them via PayPal then so be it. Ignoring a customer who has taken the plunge and bought a new product they've not had before, has paid almost $100 (more with shipping and import taxes) and then asking them to disassemble a device is utterly unacceptable. Maybe others are ok with this, but I am not.

I'm not saying you are lying, but you've yet to show us any proof of what you have said. pics/videos would go a long way since what you are saying seems impossible to believe
