Nice. I'm a fan of your work ;)
I got a merlin on the way partly cause your recommendation along with deuces jack. I'm not a big fan of the rdta style ones but I prefer the azeroth, though I haven't tried the Combo. I also have a boreas and love it as well

I'm not an RDA guy. Don't even own one but from everything I've heard it's probably not fair to compare an RDA to a tank. Maybe an RDTA would be a good compromise for you. Take a look at the Azeroth, Limitless Plus, or Avocado. Just a suggestion.

Here's my review on the Azeroth:

Absolutely correct, you can't compare. That's why I have so many rdas and mainly just use those. Never found anything that comes close even though tanks and rtas are so convenient. Out of what you mentioned I'd say the limitless plus would come closest. Don't care much for the Avocado, it's just ok in my book.

I hate my Griffin 25. Seriously the hardest tank to wick I have and it has no flavour in my opinion. I have a brand new one still sealed up. I'm just too stubborn to give up and throw them in the trash.

I really like the OBS Crius for flavour and it makes decent clouds as a bonus. It's small on capacity but the sliding top fill is sweet IMO. Works great! The Merlin is okay with the airflow restrictor removed and has decent flavor but can be a challenge to wick but not as hard as the Griffin to me.

When I open mine up I'll make a wicking tutorial and hopefully that helps

Are we talking about the Griffin 25 or the Griffin 25 Plus? The plus is wicked totally different. More like a Boreas or Supreme.

If it wicks like that you just got my attention. Is there a reason to get it if you already have the Boreas and Supreme though?

I have to admit I wasn't inpressed with the Griffin Eagle I won, airflow was a little too tight. Is the 25 plus more airy?

Mine are the standard 25, not the 25 plus. I don't have an Eagle to compare it to but the airflow wide open is pretty airy in my opinion. Definitely more air than the OBS Crius or Augvape Merlin. If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it's close to the Boreas with 3 holes per side open. Maybe just a tad more restrictive but not too much.

I have to agree, when wicked right the griffin has great flavor but I can only get it right once every 5 tries. I'm getting a 25 plus asap. I have an allreia on the way, and I want to try the supreme.

The Griffin 25 plus is much easier to wick, IMO, and just works.

I have a couple Boreas too, and love the draw, but they leak pretty good when tilted to the side. I got the G25+ just because of this issue.

I also have an Ammit, and it's just not for me. Great tank and easy setup, but it's more for the laid back and easy going. I prefer a more intense experience.

The Ammit is as good as I have tried, for single coil RTAs. If you've ever owned a Griffin 25 Plus, it is basically a single coil version of it.

It has decent airflow, wicks well, produces good flavor and vapor. Build quality is great.

I just realized it isn't "enough" for my liking. I guess I have started to enjoy the larger RTAs and open airflow.

I still do not get the fancy coils though. I just do not see the benefit with them.

I hear ya on the coils. I've built fused claptons and staged fused claptons. I keep going back to twisted, twisted staged and parallel builds. I've pretty much given up on stainless wire as well. It gunks up too fast for me. Kanthal is my go to but I haven't tried nichrome yet. I've herd good things on nichrome

I can totally recommend the TFV8 for its prebuilt coils.. It's a amazing tank. Yeah, it's thirsty. But you don't buy a tank like that an expect it to sip. A fat bank balance or home juice mixing is needed.

My only initial gripe was that I found it was a bit hard to fill unless you have a narrow tipped bottle. A lot of glass pipettes are way too big. But if you get something with a needle like tip, it's an amazing top fill tank. FT sell 5 x 100ml bottles for about $3.50 that are perfect. My alien kits came with the baby beast and there is just no comparison. The baby beast is a juice thirsty (yeah, more than the full sized TFV8!) annoying little thing, shame. I was refilling it 4-6 times a day. I refill my TFV8 1-2 times a day (more like 1.5 times). That's 6-12ml usage on the full sized, and 12-18ml on the baby. For a smaller coil that produces less vapour, I was entirely unimpressed. Shame, because the big baby looked good. But I just don't think the coils are great.

I'm new to rebuilding but so far I've tried the Limitless Plus. The velocity deck is good, but unless you put some fat arse coils in it, the 4 wicking channels are both a blessing and a curse. Without sufficient cotton in those channel, it does leak. I have a limitless classic on the way with the changeable decks (post less!) and that only has 2 wicking channels (but the velocity style with it still has 4). I think this may be better for my needs. I'm not entirely sure if I like the bottom style RDTA, I have to keep remembering to do the Genny lean. :p the large capacity and masses of room on the build deck drew me in.. But... Idk.

Next on the purchase list are Aromamizer Supreme LE and Griffin 25 Plus. Probably the Aromamizer because it's 2ml more and $13 cheaper on FT.

I'm not a fan of stock coils. I have 99% rebuildables and I don't generally buy a stock coil tank unless I can get an rba for it. I know the v8 comes with the rba but I won't buy it. The v4 was too thirsty for my liking

I think the Aromamizer Supreme is a good choice, and an easier starter type.

I have a Limitless Plus too, but it didn't wick fast enough for me.

Don't throw em out, let me know what you want for them and IL take em, never hurts to have extra. But anyways, if you can't wick the Griffins you aren't going to be able to wick the Supremes, I'm not saying either is difficult but the Supremes take more effort on my part to wick correctly. Griffins have been known to come from the factory with a bad o ring peridically, I got one and it took me losing 2 tanks of juice to figure out

Hope you all can give me a heads up to save me some money.
Because I’m liking the G2’s now I’m looking for a good flavor 24mm RTA with a 5ml tank.
What say you?

I loved my Supremes and absolutely love my OBS Engines.

The Supreme is one of the easiest tank to wick I've ever owned.
Pull double the width of the ID of cotton through, cut it even with the base, tuck it in, done.
Now, I don't do high wattage, keep around 45-50W and I run 65% VG juice. Rarely chain vape.
But the flavor is there and they don't leak.
Wicking the OBS Engine is very similar and it is absolutely dry, no leaks or condensation at all.

I know it's easy to wick, that's why I said neither is difficult, do you have a hard time wicking your Griffin?

I am beyond pissed...I have contacted vaporcube.com now three times regarding my order and they have yet to respond. Here is the situation, the order is hung up in USPS it shipped out from CA on Dec 5th and had an expected arrival date of Dec 8th. I understand with the holiday season late shipping and all but what upsets me is the fact that vaporcube hasn't reached out to me to at least say they have tried looking into this matter. So yesterday I went ahead and called USPS and they opened up a claim for my package and I am supposed to hear back from a supervisor in a couple days...

Anyways bottom line I won't be ordering from these guys again and is there anything else I can do? Should I call my CC company and dispute the charge? Thanks in advance.

The wicking method is different too, and improved, IMO.

I didn't care for the original Griffin wicking method with the ring and tuck, but don't tuck, cotton in the corner holes.

The new way appears, at first, as though it will leak nonstop, but it doesn't. It's a flat deck with oval holes for each wick tail.

Works very well, and I would recommend it over the Griffin standard any day.

It's pretty shitty that they haven't responded to you, but realistically once the package has left them and is picked up by USPS there isn't anything they can do. Your best bet is dealing with the post office

Yeah man, you really gotta cut these companies some slack with shipping times. The best they can do is get it out quickly. After that it's out of their hands. Really unfair to disparage a company for USPS'S total disfunction. They want you to receive your product. It's not like they're in on it. Lol.

Geekvape just dumbed down the wicking with the plus, they added a side and a bottom plate to help people that were using too much wick but essentially they are wicked the exact same. If you change a build on a 25 and a 25 plus at the same time with the cotton still in the coil you will see what I mean. I'm sure a lot of people will like the plus better but it's just an illusion. The ring on the 25 was dumb, didn't need to be there but whatever, just leave it screwed down

You need to try a Wotofo Conqueror. Hands down my favorite RTA. My second fav is my Petri RTA clone I got. The Conqueror is super easy to build on and wick. Petri has a trick to it but @CrazyChef made a couple short vids that helped me with my wick issues. Just had to clip off the wick at an angle and good now!

Conqueror though has been my EDC tank since Feb/March. Great little tank. You can pick them up generally between $10-$15.

I had a Boreas for a few weeks... I sold it off. Mainly because I didn't have a lot of time to build and so I wasn't building anything big enough to work in it. I wish I had just shelved it and waited for more time. With the conqueror I run this nice small set of 5 wrap SS FC's. Doesn't take much power, but makes great flavor and good cloudage when wanted. I wish I had picked up a Supreme to try that out, but I still haven't yet.

The supreme definitely kicks the conquerors butt. it's a small RTA only 22mm compared to the supreme which is 24mm IIRC also the build deck is small and I'm not a fan of screwing in the juiceflow. it's got OK air. it's good if you want to throw a small low wattage build on a small mod so it has a sue for sure, and for the 10 bucks i paid for it, it's hard to complain. But it's not something I would tell people to buy personally

Gotta say Yeti has gained a loyal patron with their customer service. Though they mis-shiped the 4ml models when notified of that error they apologized, said to keep them and they shipped out 7ml replacements Priority Mail the same day. Contacted them yesterday AM, they are tracked to arrive tomorrow. Considering this was all under the auspices of their black friday sale, I'll say that is great CS. Plus, they are up here in my neck o' the woods.:D

I still say a good single coil Rta with bottom airflow beats out a dual coil Rta in the flavor department. Plus you don't have to run it at these insane wattages to get a fantastically satisfying vape. Just my humble opinion, yours may vary.
