pics/videos of the issues you are having with the mod itselfPics or videos of what? I've already submitted pics and screenshots of the replies from VaporCube. You tell me what you want to see - I'll provide.

thanks for that. I seen that already and it still doesn't show the issues he is stating. I have paint fade on one of mine as i mentioned previously, but don't see any fingerprints and paint he is referring too. Also the main thing is the actual device issues. he claims it fires on it's own. I've never seen or heard of that before. I'd love to see a video
Yeah you can fire it with either watts or temp being dominant on the screen. Just by habit I normally have the wattage dominant on the screen. I pretty much vape everything at the same temp.just a refresher for me, when in temp mode no matter if I press the firing button 3 times sitting on watt or temp it still fires in temp right? I like to fluctuate the wattage in temp mode and usually leave the temp at one setting.

well that def looks like it was touched with dirty hand before the process. seeing how it's the inside tho and not the outside is it really a big deal? what could you expect from a $50 dollar box? I'd get it if you payed msrp $159.99 for both boxes and there both FUBAR. Looking forward to that video of the blue one. the blue one likely needs to be replaced without hassle but your Orange one doesn't seem much of an issue? there's no guarantee on HT website stating each box is hand inspected to perfection. if that were the case than the price should be up in the $200-300 range because handling each device will take time, and time is money.Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted sooner. I'm back WAY later than I thought and need to hit the sack soon as have an early one tomorrow (it's 01:30 here).
Here are the first lot of photos as promised, I'll have to do the videos tomorrow.
These show the finger prints in the paint. This is why I think not only that it's spray painted, but am also disappointed that I have received it like this. Hopefully my crappy phone photos are good enough.
As mentioned, tomorrow I'll do a video of the paint rubbing off and of the blue G2s door 'clicking'.

Those aren't finger prints, they are low spots from the machining so it wasn't prepped 100% and the anodizing didn't fully take, we all have flaws on the inside of our battery doors, must of us just haven't noticed. I would clean what you think is touched up and see what your left with, it may be a beautiful finish with some excess shit that didn't get cleaned off, maybe not, but at this point what's the difference, you filed the claim with HT.Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted sooner. Regardless of what Hohmtech does, you wont be happy, you will be unhappy with the absolute best G2 made because well...its an aluminum box. I don't buy G2s because they are pretty, I don't care what the back of my battery door looks like or even if my battery terminals have a scratch, it's an aluminum mod so I accept that there may be a rattle in my battery door. I honestly think the Yihi G class would be the mod for you and your girl, the fit and finish on Yihi mods is spectacular and the best part is that it's not a product of us dumb Americans.I haven't filed a claim with HT, I've just dropped them an email and was waiting for a reply... Which they haven't bothered to do. Unless you count Ben at VaporCube telling me to disassemble the mod a response from HT. It is 100% the same Ben, btw. Google image the email address attached to the ticket "[email protected]". I don't know what the deal is with HT and VaporCube but it's a strange one. From what I can tell it seems like 3-4 people running both companies.
As for them being on sale, does that mean I should expect less? A new item on sale should be and look/perform as new. If I wanted a refurb with the paint rubbing off and a rattling door I would have bought one. The price would not increase to $200-300 if a Chinese factory added some QC. If all the Chinese companies can produce cheaper mods with far more refined housings, how is this any different? These units are all made in China or so Ben said. The cost of a Chinese worker to do some QC is minimal, it's not like the assembly and QC is done in the US where it would cost substantially more. The Chinese factory will add the minimal cost to the final price it sells them to HT for. The FSK chip might be one of the best chips on the market, but it's in a piss poor housing IMHO. I'm sorry if others disagree but that really is how I feel. I have said time and again, that if it were one imperfection, I would probably not be here now. But I have received two G2s with multiple imperfections. Whether or not I am right or wrong about those marks being finger prints is hardly the point. In the time I have been contributing in this thread, I've seen people comment on Hohm tech ignoring them, people being asked to disassemble mods, problems with the doors on the slices etc.. This all adds up to a bigger picture for me. Think of it in terms of something else.. If you went to buy a car and it had an imperfection on the inside of the door where it hadn't been finished properly, but that was the norm for this manufacturer then you'd probably put up with it. But what if you bought two, (as a first time buyer to boot) and there were problems with the doors fitting right, the paint rubbed off etc then because you weren't a regular purchaser the company ignored you... would you be happy? I hear you saying a car costs a lot more but I really don't think the value of the item comes into it. These aren't $5 preowned yard sale items, they're brand new devices sold with a warranty by a manufacturer who is trading in these goods. Maybe the consumer rights laws in the US are different but in the UK HT wouldn't be in business right now. Thankfully PayPal requires the merchant to abide by the consumer laws of the country they are selling to and have buyer protection on top of that. If I don't get a reply from HT by tomorrow I think it's fair to say I have given them enough time to respond and should probably just go via PayPal.
With that all said - I originally posted this because I was disappointed in the condition I had received these units and I wanted to hear that this was a complete one off. Unfortunately for me, the general consensus seems to be that these mods come like this and that when one buys a G2 they should expect a certain standard. Unfortunately, on this occasion, that doesn't align with what I am happy to put up with.
I'm not one to continue flogging a dead horse once it's been established that the said horse has ceased living, so I'll say thank you very much for all the input and help. At the very least I now have a better understanding of what I can expect from HT as a company.
If I should get a positive response from HT and it turns out that by some fluke I have got two dodgy units and they do make right on this faux par, I look forward to rejoining this thread. Thanks again.

My Vt133 took 31 days to turn around. Battery meter has been wonky since I got it back. You think the G2 is bad? My Vt133s cost 100 each and are both RMAd. One for the second time! The G2 has lasted longer than any other regulated mods I've owned except the sig 150tc.
Other people have had vt133s for a long time with no problems. Lemons exist and HCigar jdgaf.
I had 2 vt133 one tool a crap in less then 2 weeks board went bad. I tried exchanging it at the vendor and they were sold out so I took store credit and ordered my 3rd g2 lol. Still love my vt133 though and now my finder 167. No device has a 100% guaranteed perfect. That's why warranties exist. In the maintenance industry we have a saying that everything is guaranteed to fail. The point of maintenance is to make sure when it does its during testing so it can be fixed and not during an emergencyMy Vt133 took 31 days to turn around. Agreed, but 31 days to turn a mod around is a little ridiculous.I had 2 vt133 one tool a crap in less then 2 weeks board went bad. Yup fully agree. Really should be 2 weeks max from when u send it to when it comes back. 1 week shipping and 1 week repair. I think that's resonableAgreed, but 31 days to turn a mod around is a little ridiculous.

has anyone found a suitable cup holder dealio for the g2? I could really use one to keep my g2 from falling over all the time sitting in a cup holder. especially when I am using a rda.

I've heard this is true. even the sig 150 silicon cases work it's just a little tight and you need to cut different button holesMaybe one for the old sig 150 would work.

welcome to the world of RTAs lol after using RDAs exclusively for the past 2 years or so, I've been using 90% RTAs for the past 8-9 months and don't regret it one bit. now wait till you keep buying more and more of them lolTo those of you that gave me the recommendation on the Crius and engine, thank you. This is exactly the rta I need for my vaping style. Perfect. Still gonna have a hard time putting my rda's down though lol.

Me too, even tho they sent me another standard edition blue instead of the limited edition blue, I got another G2 and my Doode rda in the mail just now. View attachment 69216
Seriously? Twisted my leads a little when I was tightening them up, going to take a few fuck ups before I can make them pretty, it's different, but I like itView attachment 69218
good to know. there are a lot of good RTAs now it feels like they are finally catching up with the design of them.Oh I have a bunch, just never used them because they weren't what I was looking for. With the exception of the supreme they all just sit. But I'm really impressed with OBS.

Yeah, I can knock out a set of aliens pretty quick so IL waste a couple sets playing with it tomorrow and IL figure out a routine. I dig the thing tho, gonna vape on it tonight and fiddle with it tomorrowThat's why I asked, looked like it takes some fiddling to get this one right.

@HvyMtl Glad your digging the Crius. I really like that little tank. To me it has good flavor and makes decent clouds if you're looking for that. I just have 28g 430ss single coils in mine and enjoy it daily.
Thanks for everyone's input.... ended up getting the Avocado 24 local because I didn't know if we were going to be around during the holidays to get mail. Picked it up for $32 so not bad. Still playing with it but so far not bad I think I will end up liking it a lot. Just have it set up with a simple 24/32 316L 8 wrap dual Clapton in SS mode at 65W 620F at .25 ohms.I'm not an RDA guy. Don't even own one but from everything I've heard it's probably not fair to compare an RDA to a tank. Maybe an RDTA would be a good compromise for you. Take a look at the Azeroth, Limitless Plus, or Avocado. Just a suggestion.
Here's my review on the Azeroth:

It is a nice little flavor tank. Just remember to close the jfc when filling it and make sure you open it back up before you vape. When opening it back up you kind of have to hold the the top cap while turning the DT. Also, when you close the jfc to in order to fill it remove the DT before you take the top cap off. If you don't the jfc will open on you when you screw the top cap off.Got my Augvape Alleria from GB today. Sweet little tank! Gonna look awesome on my sDna 75! Seems pretty clean. I'll give a good bath anyway. Looking forward to putting a build in it. Any suggestions?
I may order another just because it looks so cool with the glass chimney!
