Don't get so obsessed with checking off your to-do lists that you forget to savor your life. To-do lists are never-ending. There's always something to do. You check one thing off, something else will pop up. Understand that not everything has to get done ASAP. Don't hesitate to take breaks. If you keep skipping breaks, you will burn out quickly. Working more than usual is counterproductive. Relax. Give your mind rest. Self-care is also an important aspect of being productive. If you're not fully charged, you are more likely to lose focus and struggle to be truly productive.

How to Calm Cold Sore Outbreaks

Everyone from Rihanna and Paris Hilton to Justin Timberlake and Brad Pitt has been photographed with cold sores. There's no shame in that.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "about 90% of adults worldwide — even those who've never had symptoms of an infection — test positive for evidence of the virus that causes cold sores."

Why you get a flare-up (usually at the worst possible time) can seem mysterious, however.

In short, your immune system, where inflammation is produced, can become an accomplice to the outbreak when any extra nudge (like stress) that increases inflammation gets your nervous system involved.

If you want to tamp down cold sore flares, it's smart to keep chronic inflammation under control. The best ways are to practice stress-relieving activities like aerobics, meditation, yoga, or tai chi; avoid inflammatory foods like added sugars, red and processed meats, and ultra-processed foods; and promote a healthy gut biome with a plant-based diet, a daily dose of walnuts, and moderate alcohol intake.

In May, the New York State Bar Association issued an 83-page report calling for mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all Americans; the only exception, the association said, would be doctor-ordered medical reasons. The association — one of the nation’s largest state bar groups — joins a growing number of organizations, government leaders and corporations voicing support for mandating a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available. Even large entertainment companies like Ticketmaster have announced future plans to require patrons to show proof of vaccination before they’re permitted to attend music, sporting and other events.
However, there is a growing divide among Americans over whether they will get a COVID-19 vaccine. In the latest poll from the Pew Research Center, which surveyed more than 10,000 U.S. adults in September, about half of respondents (51%) said they would definitely or probably get a COVID-19 vaccine if it were available today. When Pew conducted the same poll this past spring, 72% said they would get a COVID-19 vaccine when it became available. The share who would definitely get a coronavirus vaccine now stands at 21%, half of what it was just months ago. The sharp decline comes amidst widespread concerns over aspects of the vaccine development process, concern about side effects and uncertainty over safety.

Heart Drugs May Lower Dementia Risk

In addition to benefiting the heart, certain combinations of drugs for cholesterol (statins) and blood pressure (ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor blockers, or ARBs) may also lower a person’s risk of dementia.

A team led by USC researcher Julie Zissimopoulos tracked 2007-to-2014 data from nearly 700,000 Medicare beneficiaries ages 67 and older who had used both a high blood pressure drug and a statin drug for the two previous years. None had been diagnosed with dementia, and they had never taken any Alzheimer’s medications.

The use of the statins pravastatin and rosuvastatin, combined with ACE inhibitors or ARBs for high blood pressure, was associated with a reduced risk for dementia, compared to other drug combinations. Pravastatin or rosuvastatin in combination with ARBs was especially good at lowering the risk.

If these findings are replicated in future research, they might lead to specific combinations of statins and high blood pressure drugs being recommended to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, the researchers said.

The other day I was at Whole Foods to grab a few snacks for my family.

And I was STUNNED by how many harmful ingredients I found... even in supposedly "paleo-friendly" or "super-healthy" snacks!

In fact, here are the top 4 toxins I discovered that you need to watch out for...

1. Sugar

As you know, sugar has been linked to everything from obesity to diabetes to cancer. (And rightly so.)

And while there's nothing wrong with having an occasional sweet treat...

Sugar is hard to avoid... even if you want to! Food manufacturers are dumping it into just about everything... even stuff that's not supposed to be "sweet".

I even looked at one so-called "paleo" energy bar (complete with a caveman logo). And it had over 22g of sugar per serving!

Yikes!!!

But don't go turning to "zero calorie" or "low sugar" alternatives. Because you also need to beware of...

2. Artificial Sweeteners


This sounds like a good idea on the surface. You get rid of the calories from the sugar, while still getting the sweet flavor.

Unfortunately...

Because they don't have any calories, your body never feels "full" or "satisfied" after eating them. And as a result, you keep on eating... and eating... and eating.

Even worse...

They're downright dangerous for your health. Science shows they cause migraines, weight gain, and cardiovascular disease.

3. Carbs

OK, carbs in and of themselves aren't bad... as long as you're careful about how many carbs you're getting.

However, most snacks are extremely carb-heavy (even ones that people consider to be "healthy").

The problem with this?

Carb-heavy snacks shock your body by causing an immediate spike in your blood sugar levels.

And while you might feel more energized and alert at first...

That spike is soon followed by a hard crash — leaving you starving, fatigued, and grumpy. (No fun.)

4. Trans Fats

This toxic fat has thousands of studies proving it causes inflammation, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and much more.

And although you'll rarely see "Trans Fat" printed in bold letters on the label...

It's EVERYWHERE.

Big food companies are allowed to cram up to half a gram of trans fats per serving in their food… and still claim their food is "Trans Fat Free" (even though it obviously isn’t).

Even worse...

Many companies use processes that disguise trans fats completely.

99% of beef sticks, for example, are "preserved" by coating them with citric acid and hydrogenated vegetable oil (i.e. trans fat).

Yet they're allowed to hide this on the label and just put "encapsulated citric acid" instead.​

Who, in their right mind, would let their child be a guinne pig for an untested vaccine, is this insanity or am I missing something here?:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: Don't these people even care about their childs future.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: The bazillion vaccines they are "required" to take now is a crime against humanity and causing autism and many other disorders and this crime just keeps goin on. I am almost 70 and when I was a child there were 9 vaccines required. Want a real shocker, look up how many they are required to have today:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. So our children suffer asBig Pharma profits heavily:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.
