ICAN is excited to announce the launch of a powerful new dashboard that will allow the public to review and search critical safety data from the V-safe free-text entries. Now we can see for ourselves what everyday Americans injected with COVID-19 vaccines were telling CDC after injection. ICAN CEO, Del Bigtree, explains how to use the Free-Text Field Dashboard here: When the COVID-19 vaccines rolled out, CDC used a program called V-safe to collect information from vaccine recipients. If users wanted to report a serious adverse reaction, they were forced to type in a description of their symptoms and reactions into open text fields. Almost one year ago, ICAN’s attorneys won a lawsuit against CDC forcing it to release this free-text data. However, that data was incomplete. After months of legal work, the complete free-text data has finally been obtained, with additional fields that allow us to see the date of injection, the number of days after injection each reaction was reported, and the MedDRA codes assigned for each reported reaction (a standardized coding system to classify medical events) along with every free text entry. Today, we are thrilled to announce the release of this data and a new Keyword Search Dashboard on our V-safe page, built specifically to search the free-text entries. The American public will now be able to view for themselves all 5.5 million entries that CDC has released so far. (More are coming over the next couple of months.) All entries are anonymous and only identified by a unique Registrant ID code. The Dashboard has advanced search and filter capabilities, including the ability to search by keyword, phrase, or MedDRA code, and to filter the data by vaccine received, age, sex, and more! In addition, the Dashboard allows users to view the entire “story” for any one individual user, including which vaccine was received and when, the entries made, and how his or her story progressed over time. This Dashboard brings a whole new level of transparency to data the government tried so hard to keep behind closed doors. We encourage everyone to check out the new Keyword Search Dashboard and do a search or two—the entries and individual storylines are powerful and, in many cases, heart-breaking. These are the people our federal “health” authorities abandoned. ICAN remains steadfastly committed to bringing the suffering of COVID-19 vaccine recipients out of the shadows and into the light. |
Detoxification is essential because our bodies are constantly exposed to toxins from various sources: pollution, processed foods, environmental chemicals, and even our own metabolic processes. These toxins can accumulate over time, potentially impacting organ function, immune response, and overall health. Supporting detoxification pathways helps the body efficiently eliminate these harmful substances, reducing the burden on organs and promoting a more optimal state of well-being. While the body has its own inherent detoxification mechanisms, supporting these processes through healthy lifestyle choices can significantly improve overall health and vitality. Because HealthMeans is dedicated to helping you investigate all your health needs, we’re thrilled to highlight one of our favorite interviews of Dr. Chris Shade, Ph.D., renowned educator on environmental toxicities, neuroinflammation, immune dysregulation, and the human detoxification system. Learn more about detoxification and the key things to watch out for to improve your body’s ability to heal itself! |

Organic Bytes Newsletter #875: Some of the Best Holiday Gifts Come From Farms SUBSCRIBE | DONATE | VIEW ON WEB URBAN AGRICULTURE Dutch Suburb Where Residents Must Grow Food on at Least Half of Their PropertyHannah Docter-Loeb writes for The Guardian:“When Marco de Kat starts planning his meals, he doesn’t need to travel far for fresh food. Right outside his house is an 800 square metre plot with all sorts of produce – apples, pears, peppers, basil, beets and cauliflower, to name a few. During the winter months, he and his wife can pretty much survive off the vegetables stored in their freezer. Even after living in Oosterwold for a number of years, it’s something that still excites him. ‘Yesterday, I forgot to think about what to eat,’ he says. ‘You walk through your garden and you find something and that’s what you eat.’ Oosterwold, where de Kat has lived since 2017, is a 4,300 hectare (10,625 acre) urban experiment located east of Amsterdam, in a suburb of the city of Almere, where de Kat works as a municipal councillor. First visualised about a decade ago by a local network, it was established by local government and Oosterwold planners as a way to challenge the rigidity of Dutch city planning, giving people more freedom – and responsibility – over the urban design process. The area, which has about 5,000 residents and a growing waiting list, is completely self-sufficient. Residents can build houses however they like, and must collaborate with others to figure out things such as street names, waste management, roads, and even schools. But the local government has included one extremely unusual requirement: about half of each plot must be devoted to urban agriculture.” Read about how “nobody is doing it in the same way,” de Kat says. “You have to find your own recipe.” A REGENERATIVE FUTURE Find Regenerative Farmers and Help Us Grow Our Regenerative Farm MapBy Regeneration International:Help sustain your local farms this holiday season by supporting the food system you believe in! Hey Jimi, Today, I want to talk about something that’s been weighing heavily on my heart… Something deeply troubling and…in many ways, heart-wrenching. It’s a topic that’s beginning to affect a number of lives around us… And yet the mainstream media is refusing to bring it to light… Maybe because they know it’s morally WRONG! Canada's euthanasia program, which provides Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)... Is becoming a source of SERIOUS concern for many people. |
According to Wesley J. Smith, a lawyer and expert on bioethics… There is a troubling trend in Canada. Patients who are struggling to get access to proper healthcare…like cancer patients… On long waiting lists…are now “asking” for euthanasia… Because they feel they cannot receive the care they need. (We all know that they’re MOST probably being advised to take this step.) The sad part is that this is not actually about pain relief… It’s about people feeling abandoned by a healthcare system that isn’t meeting their needs. In his conversation with Jan Jekielek, the host of American Thought Leaders… Wesley Smith explained just how TOXIC this twisted system is, saying… “We’re seeing in Canada also the beginning of a situation where patients who have a tough time getting an oncologist because of such a long waiting list, ask to be killed because they can’t get quality medical care. “Assisted suicide and euthanasia is a symptom, not a cause, and there’s a deep nihilism that seems to have infected society on many levels.” I cannot fathom how this can ever be allowed. Why would the medical system find solace in allowing people to commit suicide… Instead of making the EFFORT to actually save their lives. Why is it so much easier to just kill them? More than 15,000 Canadians die by euthanasia each year. In one particularly SHOCKING case… A doctor admitted to euthanizing over 400 people. In another case, a 51-year-old Nova Scotia woman who was preparing for breast cancer surgery… Was REPEATEDLY asked by different doctors if she was aware that euthanasia was an option. Can you imagine how she felt? In fact, in her own words, she shared… “In the list of questions about your life and your past and how are you treating these things was, ‘Hey, (MAiD) is a thing that exists.’” And she shared how this made her feel, saying… “It was upsetting. Not because I thought they were trying to kill me. I was shocked that it happens. I was like, ‘Again? This happened again ?’” It shocks me too that this happens… She believes euthanasia was raised not because of breast cancer… But because of her long history with autoimmune and other disorders that, theoretically, would make her “eligible” for MAiD. How have things gotten to this point… Where if you’ve had some long-standing health challenges… It automatically makes you the perfect candidate to get killed on purpose. We need to stand up against these crazy ideas before they become a “thing.” READ THE ARTICLE HERE |

At this very moment, up to 1,000 different species of bacteria are hard at work fulfilling numerous essential functions—all within your gut. In fact, over 5,000 individual bacterial strains exist inside the human digestive system, comprising what is known as the gut microbiota. Much more than just a stop along the gastrointestinal tract, the gut sustains a huge influence on the health and function of other bodily systems. As a result, gut health is believed to play a major role in everything from weight gain to inflammation and even mental health. So, what is one to do to support a thriving gut microbiota? As it turns out, there are various factors—some of which are easier to influence than others—that play a role in your individual gut health. Why Is Gut Health Important? Before we explore ways to support gut health, it’s important to know why to do so in the first place. From your first day of life to your last, the gut microbiota plays a crucial role in your digestive and overall health. For instance, a genus of bacteria known as Bifidobacterium exists in particularly high levels in the gut of breast-fed babies, allowing them to digest sugars from breast milk to support growth. The level of these bacteria decreases with age, but they remain vital for human development. By the time we’re around three years old, myriad species of bacteria populate the gut microbiota, all in hopes of keeping the body in a delicate state of homeostasis. Acting as an organ in its own right, the gut microbiota plays vital roles in nutrient and drug metabolism, antimicrobial protection, immunomodulation and more. Today, research is determining a link between poor gut health and several major public health issues; namely, obesity, chronic inflammation, and mental health conditions, which goes to show just how important gut health is in modern society. Potential Links Between Gut Microbiota and Human Health• Obesity and Chronic InflammationA 2015 review published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology noted a difference in bacterial composition of gut microbiota between obese and lean individuals, drawing a link between a high-fat/high-carb Western diet and greater gut bacteria associated with obesity.A 2018 review sought to examine the role of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria (“bad” bacteria) in the gut on inflammation of adipose tissue—a cause of obesity. Although more research is needed, the authors hypothesize that gut-derived LPS plays a contributing role in obesity. Another review from 2016 backs up this theory, suggesting that LPS contributes to chronic low-grade inflammation and insulin resistance associated with obesity. • Mental HealthYes, even mental health is affected by the species inside your gut. Over 90% of the mood-regulating neurotransmitter serotonin is produced in the digestive tract, with studies suggesting that the gut microbiota boosts vital levels in the blood and colon. As is the case with obesity, it seems that inflammation is an underlying factor in the microbiota’s influence on mental health conditions. The gut-brain axis—the communication network between the gut and the brain—is assumed to be more intertwined with health and homeostasis than previously thought. A 2017 study published in Brain, Behavior, and Immunity established a connection between increased GI inflammation and mental health conditions schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Moreover, they argue that the damaging role of antibiotics may contribute to a compromised microbiota, in turn leading to other, more severe health issues. How to Support a Healthy GutAlthough we’ve only just scratched the surface, the above offers a glimpse into the profound impact of the gut microbiota on individual and public health. With this, we can now move on to figuring out how to support gut health on a day to day basis. It should first be noted that gut health is influenced by various innate and environmental factors including age, genetics, diet, medication, and more. This means that how you go about promoting your own gut health will rely on your unique composition of gut bacteria. • Eat Probiotic and Prebiotic FoodsUnsurprisingly, diet is the main way you can encourage a healthy gut. Probiotic and prebiotic foods are a great way to do this. Probiotic foods/drinks like kimchi, kefir, and kombucha are fermented and contain beneficial live bacteria. When consumed, these help support and balance your gut microbiota. Prebiotic foods, on the other hand, contain indigestible fibre that ferments in the gut and is consumed by healthy bacteria. Examples of prebiotic foods include onions, garlic, and asparagus.• Avoid AntibioticsAntibiotics have their place, but researchers and medical professionals now worry about the lasting effects of antibiotic resistance on the body, including the gut. While your doctor is undoubtedly the best person to talk to about this issue, it’s common knowledge that antibiotics are being over-prescribed.• Take a Probiotic SupplementAs long as you’re maintaining a healthy, balanced diet, it can help to take a probiotic supplement as well.• Ingest Foods High in PolyphenolsFoods containing polyphenols are also believed to support gut health. A review from 2013 concluded that polyphenols support the production of beneficial bacteria and the inhibition of pathogen bacteria. This is further backed by a 2011 study that found cocoa flavanols to support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the microbiota. Good sources of polyphenols include hazelnuts, dark chocolate, and even red wine. |
