On Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 @ 3:00 PM EDT, Dr. Eric Zielinski is going LIVE with Better Way Health CEO, Reggie Black.
In their new masterclass, “The Missing Link Between Your Microbiome, Gut Health & Immune System,” they’ll uncover how a well-regulated immune system is the Golden Key to your gut wellness.
Why is the link between your gut and immune system so important?
Because your gut is home to 70% of your immune system, and gut imbalances can trigger fatigue, inflammation, poor digestion, and more.
What most people don’t realize is that a 5,000-year-old yeast-derived compound is now backed by over 216,000 studies.
In fact, top institutions like Harvard, Mayo Clinic, and Tulane have studied this unique supplement…
And researchers at the University of Louisville found it to be 160x more effective than Vitamin C for immune modulation.
That compound is Beta Glucan, and it also…
  • Strengthens the gut lining and nourishes beneficial gut flora
  • Helps reduce symptoms of leaky gut, irregularity, and sluggish digestion
  • Promotes immune balance starting from the gut
  • Supports brain clarity by addressing the gut–brain axis
--->>Don’t miss this powerhouse masterclass from Dr. Zielinski and Reggie Black - it’s going to be packed with insights you can’t afford to miss!
PLUS: You’ll get to ask your biggest gut questions and have them answered by Dr. Zielilnski and Reggie during the live Q&A.
Webinar Date: Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 @ 3:00 PM EDT
Grab your spot now and make sure you add this to your calendar now because seats are limited!

Microwaves

Hi Jimi,
Microwaves are fast, convenient, and incredibly common.
For many, they’re the default way to reheat leftovers, steam veggies, or defrost dinner in a hurry.
For others, concerns about nutrient loss, radiation exposure, and leaching chemicals make them a no-go.
So what’s the truth? Are microwaves safe to use? And how can you get the benefits without the risks?
Get the full story.
Yours for practical health,
Ocean Robbins
P.S. Not all microwave myths are true, but some risks are real. Especially if you’re using the wrong containers. Find out what’s safe and what’s not.

Could your pain, fatigue, low moods, weight gain, brain fog, high cholesterol, anxiety, irritable bowel, hot flashes, poor circulation, compromised immune system, chronic migraines, be due to a thyroid disorder?

Did you know that conventional thyroid lab tests are notoriously inadequate and often fail to show when someone is suffering with a thyroid condition?
Patients often relate that they, and sometimes their doctors, suspect a thyroid problem only to have their blood work return normal.

However, it is important to know that conventional “basic” thyroid lab tests are notoriously inadequate and often fail to miss someone who does, in fact have a problem with their thyroid.

What if the underlying cause of your symptoms was in fact due to a thyroid disorder?

“G-Bombs”: Serving and Discussing Their Benefits

Group Leaders, Brad & Becky Corley, Mobile, AL
Brad and Becky served and discussed “G-BOMBS” at their most recent meeting!⁣

Did you know????⁣ "G-BOMBS" is an acronym, created by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, that serves as a reminder to include these nutritious foods into our daily nutrition, to help prevent chronic diseases like cancer. The acronym stands for Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries, and Seeds. ⁣

A Snapshot of Each Component:⁣
  • Greens: Cruciferous vegetables (ex: broccoli, bok choy, arugula). Steamed is recommended, but some raw greens are also beneficial. ⁣
  • Beans: A half-cup a day of any type of bean has been shown to have anti-cancer benefits, is high in protein, with a low glycemic index. ⁣
  • Onions: An excellent source of antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. ⁣
  • Mushrooms: Include a variety of mushrooms (ex: reishi, lion’s mane, shiitake). ⁣

Throughout our time together, John and I wove our herbal allies into our lives in a variety of ways.
I always loved walking into our kitchen and seeing the jars of herbs proudly displayed, ready to become nourishing and healing teas.
We had a counter full of spices ready to be added to dinner dishes, and there were almost always several jars of infusing oils, vinegars, or honeys on our lazy susan.
It was John who brought the passion for the plants and their nourishing, healing qualities into my life. For that, I will be forever grateful.
Our LearningHerbs team thought it would be sweet, in this poignant time, to share some of his favorite herbal recipes with all of you.

From the time we learned about nourishing herbal infusions in our studies at RavenCroft Garden, we would all drink one daily. This was our way of incorporating a daily multi-vitamin since we would infuse nourishing herbs like nettle that are packed with vitamins and minerals. Drinking them as teas allowed the nutrients to integrate into our systems with ease.
During cold and flu season we would have a tablespoon of elderberry syrup each day to help keep our immune systems in top condition.
Dandelion coffee and herbal chai were favorites in our household throughout the fall and winter. I can still see John, filling his cup from the press pot on our counter before heading up to his home office in the morning. These herbal drinks were fuel for his creativity, allowing him to dream up new ways to help you all connect with the healing herbs he loved so much.
We’ve also included a recipe for an adaptogen shake, which is very similar to a shake he made daily that he called Root Dirt.
And, of course we’ve included a sweet treat as well. John definitely had a sweet tooth, and these cookies brought a big smile to his face every time I made them.
May you and your family be nourished by these recipes, and may we all keep connecting with the plants, playing in our kitchens, and learning together!
Thank you for being part of our LearningHerbs family.
Warmly,

New Maps Reveal 73 Million People Exposed to PFAS in U.S. Drinking Water Above EPA Standards

Carey Gillam reports for The New Lede:

“Over 73 million people in the US are being exposed to toxic PFAS chemicals in their tap water, according to an analysis of data from a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) water monitoring program.

Unsafe levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been found in excess of EPA thresholds in every US state but Arkansas, Hawaii and North Dakota, according to the analysis published July 17 by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

NRDC released maps built on the data, and said the research shows that people across the country will be impacted by an EPA plan to rescind drinking water limits for four PFAS chemicals and push back compliance deadlines for two others.”

Read how exposures to some types of PFAS have been linked to certain cancers, thyroid disease, liver damage and immune system problems, among other health problems, and check the map for your level of risk

Apeel Isn’t Allowed on Organic

Thanks to your energy and participation, the Organic Consumers Association won its campaign targeting the Organic Materials Review Institute, Starr Ranch, Stemilt, and Limoneira, to get Apeel out of organic.

Apeel finally admitted that its product, designed to increase shelf-life, isn’t allowed on organic produce, but it’s keeping hope alive that one day, it will get approved (it hasn’t submitted anything to the National Organic Standards Board or OMRI yet):

“We are working on new formulations for USDA organic growers that will be USDA Organic Certified or OMRI Listed when they are available for purchase. Organipeel, a product we offered in the past to USDA organic growers, has been discontinued to make way for next-generation formulations that offer improved efficacy and greater operational flexibility for our customers.”

So, it was really weird when after that happened, Michelle Pfeiffer spread the years-old news that “organic produce is no longer safe” now that “‘Bill Gates’ Apeel just got approved for USDA-certified organic.”

A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes, but why this, why now?

Our suspicion is that this fake news is timed to distract us from the real threats to food and farming that you can read about and take action on every week through this newsletter.

If someone has forwarded you one of the many news items on Michelle Pfeiffer’s beef with Bill Gates, please forward them this newsletter and encourage them to take action on our current alerts. Let’s work together to address the real challenges facing our food and farming systems.

The Ultimate Human Superpower You Never Knew You Had: Melanin — The Hidden Solar Panel in Human

For over three decades, I have been deeply immersed in reflecting on the role of melanin in human physiology and our origin story, engaging in ongoing dialogue with scientific colleagues, mentors, and skeptics alike. This fascination with our body's hidden regenerative capacities ultimately led me to write my book REGENERATE: Unlocking Your Body's Radical Resilience Through the New Biology, where I first explored how melanin might play a far more profound role in human health than conventionally understood. This piece represents a synthesis of some of the most exciting discoveries and conceptual shifts emerging from those conversations and investigations—and totally new ones that surprised even me as far as their far-reaching implications. It is also the first in a series of essays I'll be publishing on the New Biophysics of Light and Humanity’s True Origins. I am excited to finally share this summary.

NEW Podcast Episode

Dr. Christian Gonzalez

In This Episode

Somatic Therapy to Heal Chronic Illness with Dr. Christian Gonzalez

This conversation is an invitation to reconnect with the parts of you that have long been silenced. To reconnect with the truth of who you are. And to feel what your body is really saying through symptoms and sensations. It also serves as a reminder that healing isn’t about fixing — it’s about coming home to yourself through the power of somatic healing, emotional awareness, and embodied safety.

In this transformative episode of HEAL with Kelly, I sit down with my dear friend, Dr. Christian Gonzalez — naturopathic doctor, host of Heal Thy Self, and founder of the Emotional Liberation Method — to explore the powerful connection between the body, trauma, and true healing. I’ve personally had the honor of working with Dr. G, and I can tell you — his work is nothing short of profound. His understanding of the body, trauma, and emotional expression has shifted the way I see healing, both in myself and in others.

From the brilliant role of fascia to the energy of repressed emotion, Dr. G offers a fresh lens on why we get sick — and what it actually takes to get well. Together, we dive into how childhood patterns shape adult identities, how the nervous system underpins nearly every chronic condition, and why voice and vibration — not just breath — may be the missing link in somatic healing.

We also touch on the emotional profiles often overlooked in cancer care, the unspoken shame many women carry, the truth about self-abandonment, and how co-regulation can become a portal to profound transformation.

Whether you’re on a healing journey or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, this conversation is a powerful reminder: What if your chronic symptoms weren’t random — but messages from a body that’s been trying to speak to you all along?

Key Moments in This Week's Episode:

🧠 Redefining Stress: Stress = repressed authenticity. When you can’t express, your body holds it.
🕸️ Fascia Holds Emotion: Your fascia stores unprocessed trauma — and can trigger pain + illness.
💔 Emotional Roots of Illness: People-pleasing, self-abandonment, and suppressed anger often show up in chronic conditions (like cancer).
🫶 Co-Regulation Heals: We heal through connection. Borrowing a safe nervous system helps you process what’s been stuck.
🔊 Simple Tools to Start: Feel your body. Make a sound. Be consistent. This is where healing begins.

Vinegar Helps Blood Pressure, Diabetes

By Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Mike Roizen, MDs

Thirty-two thousand baby boomers are members of USA Triathlon, the national governing body for competitive triathletes; tens of thousands more cycle, swim, and jog regularly. An astounding 61 percent say they feel nine years younger than they really are.

All that get-up-and-go means the older generation has lots of energy, which of course translates into more active intimate relations.

In fact, today more than 70 percent of men and 50 percent of women in their 60s report that they're still sexually active. A lot of kiss and vinegar, you might say!

That doesn't surprise us, because it turns out that vinegar — whether apple cider, balsamic, or rice wine — is a smart part of a healthy lifestyle.

Special: Heart Surgeon's Secret to Healthy Blood Pressure

Vinegar helps reduce blood pressure, improves your blood sugar response (reducing the effects of diabetes) and helps prevent heart disease. It has antibacterial properties and contains polyphenols and acetic acid.

The latter inhibits your body's ability to store fat while boosting its ability to burn it! All that helps protect you against sexual dysfunction.

Just one word of caution: Good health and great romance call for smart protection against sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. And baby boomers seem to be overlooking that!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that there are 20 million new sexually transmitted infections annually, but only half are among young people.

So what's the solution? Stay energetic and engaged, for sure, but start relying on disease-protecting condoms for safety. With good-for-you condiments and condoms, you can go, go, go!

Hey, Dr. Nandi here with one of the strangest medical stories I’ve heard in a while….

Most people think diseases show up as symptoms you can see or feel...

But what if the earliest warning sign wasn't visible at all?

That's exactly what happened to Joy Milne from Scotland.

She could smell her husband's Parkinson's disease years before any doctor diagnosed it.

When scientists finally tested her unusual ability...

The results shocked everyone.

Her nose had detected something modern medicine still can't.

And now researchers know exactly what she was smelling...

Holistically Treating Viruses

On this week’s episode of With the Wind, Dr. Paul is joined by Dr. David Brownstein, a pioneer in holistic medicine, for a compelling look at how integrative approaches can transform pediatric care during viral season. Dr. Brownstein shares his personal journey from conventional medicine to holistic practice, and reveals protocols that have helped his patients—including children—weather viral illnesses with confidence and resilience.

“Medicine has never done well over eons of time when there’s no dialog, there’s no debate. If things don’t seem right to you, then there’s no reason not to question.” — Dr. David Brownstein

In this episode, Dr. Brownstein shares:

  • His transition from conventional medicine to holistic practice after witnessing his father’s recovery using natural therapies.
  • Why he questioned the necessity of certain vaccines and the importance of informed consent for parents.
  • Details of his clinic’s viral protocol: high-dose vitamins A, C, D, and iodine, plus nebulized hydrogen peroxide for respiratory symptoms.
  • How his integrative approach led to extremely low hospitalization rates for flu and COVID-19, even among high-risk children.
  • Practical advice for parents on supporting children’s natural immunity, including recommended supplements for winter virus season.
  • The critical difference between innate and adaptive immunity—and why supporting both is essential for lifelong health.

Dear Jimi,

When undergoing androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer, staying active and exercising is essential to minimize adverse effects and co-manage the disease. Exercise can help improve physical function, maintain bone strength, and enhance quality of life.

Aerobic Exercise: Engage in moderate-intensity aerobic activities, such as walking, cycling, swimming, or using an elliptical machine. Aim for at least 150 minutes of weekly aerobic exercise spread over several days.

Strength Training: Include strength training exercises to maintain muscle mass and bone density. Use resistance bands, free weights, or weight machines to target major muscle groups. Start with lighter weights and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

Flexibility and Stretching: Incorporate stretching exercises to maintain flexibility and range of motion. Stretch major muscle groups after each workout session or consider activities like yoga or Pilates to improve flexibility.

Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to your body's signals during exercise. Slow down or modify the intensity if you experience pain, dizziness, or extreme fatigue. Finding a balance between pushing yourself and avoiding excessive strain is crucial.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after exercise to stay hydrated. ADT may cause hot flashes and increased sweating, so proper hydration is essential.

Keep the XY Wellness Diet: Alongside exercise, adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains.

Supplement: Diet and exercise are critical for success while on ADT, no argument there, but to enhance the benefits, take targeted dietary supplements like Regimen 03: ADT packets, which is the only nutritional supplements regimen developed for men on hormone treatment for prostate cancer.

Closing Thoughts

While being on ADT to slow the progression of prostate cancer is a standard treatment for some stages of the disease, you shouldn't have to sacrifice your quality of life too much. Regaining sexual function while under treatment can be challenging, but losing memory, bone, and overall health does not have to be. With exercise, XY Wellness Integrative Roadmap, and Regimen 03: ADT living longer and better during ADT is possible. Hundreds of our members are doing the work every day. Keep at it. Let me know how we can help.

Yours in Good Health,

This week I want to spotlight one that often gets overlooked: beet greens.

Yep, the vibrant leafy tops attached to your beets aren’t just pretty, they’re incredibly nourishing, too.

Beet greens are packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that support:

  • Hormone balance
  • Brain and digestive health
  • Healthy inflammation response
They’ve got a slightly earthy, salty taste that pairs beautifully with garlic and a splash of vinegar.

And when you use the whole beet, including the golden root you get fiber, potassium, and blood-sugar-supportive nutrients all in one dish.

So if you’ve ever tossed the leafy tops, this is your sign to try something new.

Here’s a simple, flavorful way to use the entire vegetable:

mail
Sautéed Beet Greens with Roasted Beets

Ingredients:

  • 1 large bunch of golden beets
  • ½ Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp coconut aminos
  • Crushed red pepper
  • Sea salt & black pepper

Directions:

  1. Cut beet tops to 1–2 inches. Wash and chop greens, discarding any thick, tough stems.
  2. Scrub beets, poke with a fork, and wrap in foil. Roast at 400°F for 70–90 minutes.
  3. Peel beets under cool water once tender. Chop one or two into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a skillet, heat oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add beet greens and cook for 3–4 minutes until wilted.
  6. Stir in chopped beets, vinegar, and coconut aminos. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Pair with your favorite protein for a balanced, hormone-supportive meal.
This recipe is a delicious reminder that nutrient-dense foods are often right in front of us we just need to give them a little love.

💛 Here’s to trying something new and feeling more nourished every step of the way.
