It would also make vaccine requirements to carry out normal, everyday activities, from grocery shopping to using public transportation, all the more difficult to achieve.

Part 2: The Mayo Clinic’s 8 Steps To Prevent Heart Disease*
4. Limit Unhealthy Fats

Limiting how much saturated and trans fats you eat is an important step to reduce your blood cholesterol and lower your risk of coronary artery disease.
(VH Note: It’s important to remember there are plants that are high in saturated fats, too!)
A high blood cholesterol level can lead to a buildup of plaques in your arteries (atherosclerosis) which can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke.
The American Heart Association offers these guidelines for how much fat to include in a heart-healthy diet:
Type Of Fat

Saturated fat

Less than 6% of total daily calories. If you're eating 2,000 calories a day, that's about 11 to 13 grams.
Trans fat

Avoid as much as possible
5. Check The Food Labels Of Cookies, Cakes, Frostings, Crackers And Chips.
Not only are these foods low in nutritional value, some — even those labeled reduced fat — may contain trans fats. Trans fats are no longer allowed to be added to foods, but older products may still contain them. Trans fats may be listed as partially hydrogenated oil on the ingredient label.
When used in place of saturated fat, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats may help lower your total blood cholesterol. But moderation is essential.
An easy way to add healthy fat (and fiber) to your diet is to use ground flaxseed. Flaxseeds are small brown seeds that are high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Studies have shown that flaxseed lowers unhealthy cholesterol levels in some people. You can grind the flaxseeds in a coffee grinder or food processor and stir a teaspoon of them into yogurt, applesauce or hot cereal and even soups.
(VH Note: Beware - All types of fat are high in calories. Calorie “creep” can add extra weight, which will affect your health.)
6. Choose Low-fat Protein Sources
If you are vegetarian, low-fat dairy products and eggs are some of your best sources of protein.
In this case, consider lower fat options, such as skim milk rather than whole milk, and omega-3 eggs over everyday commercial eggs.
Legumes — beans, peas and lentils — also are good, low-fat sources of protein and contain no cholesterol.
Omega-3 fatty acids can lower blood fats called triglycerides. You'll find omega-3 fatty acids in flaxseed, walnuts, and soybeans.
7. Reduce The Salt (Sodium) In Your Food
Eating too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, a risk factor for heart disease. Limiting salt (sodium) is an important part of a heart-healthy diet. The American Heart Association recommends that:
  • Healthy adults have no more than 2,300 milligrams (mg) of sodium a day (about a teaspoon of salt)
  • Most adults ideally have no more than 1,500 mg of sodium a day
Although reducing the amount of salt you add to food at the table or while cooking is a good first step, much of the salt you eat comes from canned or processed foods, such as soups, baked goods and frozen dinners. Eating fresh foods and making your own soups and stews can reduce the amount of salt you eat.
If you like the convenience of canned soups and prepared meals, look for ones with no added salt or reduced sodium. Be wary of foods that claim to be lower in sodium because they are seasoned with sea salt instead of regular table salt — sea salt has the same nutritional value as regular salt.
Another way to reduce the amount of salt you eat is to choose your condiments carefully. Many condiments are available in reduced-sodium versions, and salt substitutes can add flavor to your food with less sodium.
(VH Note: Though this doesn’t apply to most people, some on very restricted plant-based diets should be careful they are getting enough salt. While moderation is key, sodium is an important mineral. NO salt in your diet can create dangerous electrolyte imbalances.)
8. Plan Ahead: Create Daily Menus
You know what foods to feature in your heart-healthy diet and which ones to limit. Now it's time to put your plans into action.
Create daily menus using the strategies we’ve reviewed, as well as those mentioned in Food Revolution Network’s 15 Foods Your Heart Will Love.
When selecting foods for each meal and snack, emphasize vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Choose lean protein sources and healthy fats, and limit salty foods. Watch your portion sizes and add variety to your menu choices.
Bonus Tip: Allow Yourself An Occasional Treat
Allow yourself an indulgence every now and then. A small, sweet treat or handful of potato chips won't derail your heart-healthy diet...
But don't let it turn into an excuse for giving up on your healthy-eating plan. If overindulgence is the exception, rather than the rule, you'll balance things out over the long term. What's important is that you eat healthy foods most of the time.
Incorporate these tips into your life, and you'll find that heart-healthy eating is both doable and enjoyable. With planning and a few simple substitutions, you can eat with your heart in mind.

More Evidence Against Fried Foods

Satchel Paige, the great ballplayer in the Negro leagues and Major League Baseball (with the Cleveland Indians in 1948), had a career that spanned five decades and launched him into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He was smart about making nutritional choices too. One example of his advice: “Avoid fried foods, which angry up the blood.”

How right he was. New research out of China published in the journal Heart found that every serving of fried food you eat per week raises your risk of coronary heart disease and major cardiovascular events, such as a heart attack or stroke, by 2%-3%.

And those who eat the most fried food every week are 28% more likely to have an event than folks who eat the least.

This comes on the heels of a study last year that looked at more than 106,000 women ages 50 to 79 who participated in the Women's Health Initiative to assess the impact of fried food on their health. It turned out that eating fried food — especially fried chicken and fried fish or shellfish — is even more dangerous than the Chinese study indicates.

This U.S.-based study said women who ate at least one serving a week of fried chicken had a 13% higher risk of death from all causes and a 12% higher risk of death from cardiovascular disease, compared to women who ate no fried chicken. And one serving of fried shellfish a week upped their risk of cardiovascular death by 13%.

Now is as good a time as any to ditch French fries, fried chicken, and fried shrimp. Fortunately, there are endless delicious chicken and fish dishes that can be made with healthy oils that are prepared by baking or broiling. You might even expand your palate and try a bunch of new foods that offer exciting flavors while they boost your heart health, increase your longevity, and make you feel better.

*-- Study: Snoring in children linked to brain changes, behavior problems --*

Children who snore regularly show signs of structural changes in their brains that perhaps contribute to symptoms such as trouble focusing, hyperactivity and learning difficulties at school, an analysis published Tuesday by Nature Communications found.

Based on reports from parents, children who snored during sleep three or more times per week tended to have thinner gray matter in several regions in the frontal lobes of their brains, the researchers said.

These brain regions are responsible for higher reasoning and impulse control, and the thinner gray matter was linked to behavioral disturbances associated with sleep disordered breathing, a mild form of sleep apnea, they said.

This is because the snoring condition causes disrupted sleep throughout the night due to interrupted breathing and reduction in oxygen supply to the brain, according to the researchers.

"If you have a child who is snoring more than twice a week, that child needs to be evaluated," study co-author Dr. Amal Isaiah said in a press release.

"We now have strong structural evidence from brain imaging to reinforce the importance of diagnosing and treating sleep disordered breathing in children," said Isaiah, an associate professor of head and neck surgery and pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Up to 10 percent of children in the United States have obstructive sleep disordered breathing, a potentially serious sleep disorder in which the function of the upper airway -- just beyond the mouth and nose -- is obstructed, and breathing repeatedly stops and starts, researchers estimate.

During sleep, this obstruction manifests itself as snoring, and many of those suffering from the condition experience poor sleep quality as a result, according to the Sleep Foundation.

In children, obstructive sleep disordered breathing can be treated with a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, which is the surgical removal of tonsils and adenoids at the back of the nose and throat.

Because poor sleep can cause daytime fatigue, which in turn can lead to difficulties concentrating, a significant percentage of children with obstructive sleep disordered breathing are misdiagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and are treated with stimulant medications that can further affect sleep, the researchers said.

For this study, the researchers examined brain magnetic resonance imaging scans collected from more than 10,000 children age 9 to 10 enrolled in the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study, long-term research of brain development and child health.

About 16% of the children in the study were obese, or severely overweight, a condition that has been linked with sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep disordered breathing, the researchers said.

Among the study participants, just under 7% were reported by their parents as habitual snorers, meaning they snored two or more nights per week. Nearly 17% of the children exhibited problems behaviors such as anxiety and aggression as well as thinking and attention issues.

Children who were habitual snorers and likely suffering from obstructive sleep disordered breathing had evidence of thinner gray matter on brain MRIs, and were up to three times as likely to experience these behavioral problems, the researchers said.

"These brain changes are similar to what you would see in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder," Isaiah said.

Sunshine​

As we play yo yo with the weather here in TN (Hot...Cold...Hot...Cold) we are getting some great springtime sunshine. Everyday we get some good sunshine, I am making a point to get outside and soak it in!

On this Wellness Wednesday lets talk about sunshine. I'll keep is right to the point with some great benefits of getting out in the sun.

  • Reduces Risk of Type 2 Diabetes

  • Better Skin

Your body is made to be in the sun, and exposure to sunlight during the day is crucial to health and wellness. Some advise getting at least 10-15 minutes of sunlight daily.

Of course, it is good to not over do it, a little sunshine can go a long way (and too much may hurt your skin). Depending on the shade of your skin, scientists estimate your body can produce vitamin D in about 5 to 30 minutes in the sun! Not bad, and much cheaper than supplements. :)

Now, if you're wearing sunscreen, you may not produce as much vitamin D. And for the love of puppies... please do not use toxic sunscreen!!! Before slathering on cheap sunscreen read the ingredients and find healthy options. Here is a good place to start.

In an effort to combat Big Pharma, Mainstream Media, and Big Tech censorship, doctors around the world (myself included) are sounding the alarm about the devastating effects of the experimental COVID-19 "vaccines" being mass injected into an unsuspecting public.
These brave souls echo my concerns and highlight:

They’re doing this because they actually understand the real science, and know the potential consequences of this intervention, and they’re trying to alert as many people as are ready to hear, about what may be at the other end of this intervention which makes no claim to mitigate infection, transmission, nor infection (only to mitigate symptoms!)—including countless deaths, hospitalizations, allergic reactions, heart attacks, blood clots, miscarriages, and more.
