There was a time when we were told all fat was bad, and we should limit it as much as possible to protect and improve our health.
Now, not only do we know that’s not true, we know that we need to actually get more of certain fats in order to optimize our health.
That’s where omega-3s come in. They are integral to the structure, function, and fluidity of virtually every cell in the human body, but most of the world is deficient in them. EPA and DHA are the key players, with major organs like our brains, hearts, eyes, and skin all depending on them to do their jobs properly.
Today on The Dhru Purohit Podcast, Dhru walks us through the importance of omega-3s for our health, inside and out.

stop eating until the cancer goes away

After the past several years interviewing hundreds pf people who have survived a cancer diagnosis using an integrative / holistic approach

and the doctors who help people survive that way Jim…

The stories I hear about what the individual people end up doing to get through it are all over the map.

As in from people who went full on “fruitarian”…

to “sugar-free”…

to I’m just going to stop eating (but keep drinking water) until the cancer goes away (see below).…

The one thing they all have in common though, is a firm understanding that what they hear about in the hospital, is a tiny, tiny fraction of everything that could potentially get them better.

The world has never been more aware than it is today of the fact the pharmaceutical industry has no problem whatsoever with suppressing things that WORK a good deal of the time…

often times a good deal more than their treatments.

Cancer has made many of us aware of this for years or even decades now.

On that note, very excited about my friend and award winning filmmaker Nathan Crane’s upcoming Conquering Cancer event.

Another thing in common with almost every story I hear, is that the people found at least one, if not several really good holistic / integrative practitioners to guide them along the way…

(one of the biggest mistakes I see people making is trying to do ALL their own research on that note… not wise)

And Nathan’s rounded up over 50 of the best of them. :)

Just a few of the nuggets included:

  • Dr. Thomas Lodi’s incredible “water cleanse” that rid Annabel of cancer in 41 days
  • The 5 minute morning habit directly linked to lower cancer risk
  • The single food that eaten once a day can reduce cancer risk by 50%
  • Why skipping breakfast is one of the most powerful anti-cancer treatments
  • The surprisingly simple strategy that fights cancer in your sleep
  • And much more…
You can find out how to watch the whole thing at no charge here!!

Note on the water cleanse… as I mentioned at the start of the email… real thing!!

I’ve interviewed / spoken with quite a few practitioners who have seen people through this.

If Moses, Elijah, and Jesus all thought it was a good idea

mot to mention pythagorus wouldn’t let anyone his wisdom school without doing it first…

might be something to it!! :)

You can hear more about it in Dr. Lodi’s talk along with a host of other strategies to adopt and either tackle a diagnosis or make sure you never get one in Conquering Cancer!!

Your Daily Motivation

Friday

November-5-2021
Some situations can leave you in a dark headspace.

In order to get out of it, you must choose intentional gratitude and appreciation over negativity.

If you’re thinking constantly about an unpleasant situation, all your attention and energy will be directed to that.

As a result, it will keep getting bigger in your mind and eventually cloud your judgment. So, protect your energy.

Keep it focused on the things that add value to your life. Get clear on what you are willing to put up with.

Hi Jimi
As soon as we saw this, we had to send it to you...

If you have any issues in the 🚽 bathroom, your immune system might not be as strong as you think it is.

It’s a scary thought, right?

Particularly with everything we’re currently facing.

And trust us, we’re genuinely astonished that this one very crucial part of the “immune conversation” has been left out of the mainstream dialogue.

Earlier this year in January, a study published in the BMJ journal discovered something pretty shocking about the gut microbiome and C0V!D.

The conditions inside your gut microbiome can actually amplify the severity of C0V!D.

(You read that correctly).

Your gut could make your immune response MUCH worse. 😬

The good news is, this connection between the gut and immunity means you also have the power to fortify your own inner defenses and mitigate this C0V!D risk.

The Gut-Immune Solution is a brand new masterclass with 20+ doctors, researchers, and clinicians doing the work right now to get the word out about this vital connection between immunity and optimal digestive health.

You can grab a seat by going here — it starts November 8, 2021. It’s online and completely free to attend.
image

You’ll learn the practical, natural, and at-home protocols to heal your gut – and help restore a healthy immune response.

Given this breakthrough study — and the many other ones that have come out recently reiterating the same findings — we can both agree that healing your gut is now more important than ever.

Go here to register for this breakthrough masterclass

Brush Your Teeth With Honey?
(why you should)

It’s common knowledge that sweet things are bad for your teeth and gums, so attempting to cure gum disease by eating honey is a little bit ridiculous, right?

Wrong.

What most people don’t know is that raw, natural honey has powerful antibacterial properties that are actually effective in treating gum disease and preventing tooth decay.

When I was a kid, it was drummed into me that sugar rots your teeth and causes cavities. However, the truth is that sugar does not cause tooth decay or gum disease - bacteria does.

The main “bad guys” destroying our oral health are bacteria and inflammation.

Inflammation in the gums, when not properly taken care of, can spread and affect the surrounding teeth and even the bones beneath.

It can lead to excruciating pain, receding gums and even loss of teeth.

Why use honey for healthy teeth and gums?

Even though honey has a high sugar content, its natural antibacterial properties destroy harmful bacteria in the mouth, preventing gum disease, tooth decay and even bad breath.
  • Research has shown that honey contains an enzyme that produces hydrogen peroxide, which is believed to be one factor in its antibacterial activity.
  • Honey not only curbs dental plaque and bacteria growth but it also reduces the amount of acid produced in the mouth, which stops the bacteria from producing dextran, a component of dental plaque that stubbornly adheres to the surface of the teeth.
  • Some honey is so strong against bacteria in laboratory testing, even outperforming antibiotics and other traditional forms of medication.
  • Unlike commercial products, honey only seems to destroy harmful bacteria, and leaves the good bacteria alone that should remain in the mouth.
Many scientists and researchers are developing honey infused toothpastes and mouthwashes… But you don’t need to pay a premium price for these commercial products. Just learn how to use honey at home!

Are you ready to Fall back? This year daylight savings times ends on November 7th when clocks are moved back an hour at 2 a.m. daylight savings time to 1 a.m. local standard time.

Mathematically that should mean an extra hour of sleep for you. But most people won't get that "extra hour" of sleep because their sleep-wake cycle is disturbed.

The sleep-wake cycle is part of our “circadian rhythm” that regulates many important biological processes, such as hormone production and sleep patterns, and is largely controlled by external cues in the environment – mainly light and its influence of the important hormone melatonin.

A disturbance in our sleep-wake cycle is characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, restless nights, and frequent nighttime awakenings. It is very common in shift workers, pilots and flight attendants, and the elderly. It is also more common during the switch to and from daylight savings time. All of these situations are due to altered melatonin secretion.

So, let me share with you a remarkably effective way that I have discovered to help people reset their sleep-wake cycle naturally.

7 Keys to Resetting Your Sleep Wake Cycle

1. Practice good sleep hygiene by developing a regular nightly routine, that might be taking a warm shower or bath, reading a book, or light stretches; making sure that the sleep environment is very comfortable; consider blocking out light and noise as much as possible; and limit daytime naps to no more than 30 minutes.

2. Be tired. Do more during the day with your body and mind to wear yourself out. Regular exercise is particularly important.

3. Avoid stimulants and sleep disrupters. If you suffer from poor sleep quality, try giving up coffee and other sources of caffeine, even tea, as well as alcohol to see what happens. Ten days is a good trial.

4. Stabilize blood sugar levels throughout the day and night by avoiding foods that cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels. Specifically, avoid refined sugars, especially sucrose and high fructose corn syrup; pastries; doughnuts; beverages packed full of sugars (soft drinks, sports drinks, and many coffee beverages); and other high sugar foods. The sugars in these foods are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, causing a rapid rise in blood sugar and severely stressing blood sugar control.

5. Clear your mind. Let go of worry, let go of pain, let go of fear of the future or circumstance, let go of control. Instead, replace it with hope, faith, and patience. Give in to feelings of peace and comfort.

6. Ensure adequate daytime exposure to natural light or use full-spectrum lighting.

7. Reset your biorhythm by taking 3 mg of melatonin 30 minutes before bedtime and 3 mg of methylcobalamin upon arising.

  • Foggy memory or issues with recalling information?
  • Creaks, aches, or pains?
  • Uncomfortable bloating?
  • Can’t seem to lose even a pound of weight?

...Or worst of all, do you feel like you’re stuck in a never ending cycle of colds, flus, and lingering sickness?

FEATURED ANNOUNCEMENT
Sayer Ji Discusses The New And Upcoming Free Speech Platform!
Perhaps even more concerning is what YouTube’s new policy will do to hundreds of millions of users who face either censoring themselves or being entirely de-platformed. Millions who previously would have spoken up and out will now remain in silent complicity with an agenda dead set on covering up the harms being done by the COVID-19 vaccines, or covering up safer, natural alternatives. I cannot tell which is more egregious when it is all said and done: overt censorship or covert self-censorship?
Fundamentally, YouTube’s latest decision is a declaration of war against the truth and the public's right to informed consent. But it will require the tacit consent and/or complicity of millions of users for them to be successful.

Your Daily Motivation

Let yourself cry. You don’t have to hold your tears back or pretend you're okay. Crying is not a sign of weakness.

Crying or feeling helpless doesn't mean you’re less capable of dealing with difficulties than others. It's a natural response to several emotions.

Keeping difficult feelings inside and refusing to cry will just make you feel worse. Crying actually helps you release excess stress hormones out of your body.

A good cry helps you acknowledge and accept your emotions and bring clarity to your mind. So don't hesitate to let it all out.

Artificial Sweeteners Can Increase Appetite

By Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Mike Roizen, MDs

Research says that you can tell a sincere smile from a fake one by checking the eyes. If the skin around them isn't crinkly, chances are you're looking at a false expression of affection.

That make-believe sugariness can leave you vulnerable to dangerous deception and longing for some genuine (natural) sweetness.

The same is true of sucralose — the fake sweetener that's added to everything from yogurt to soda to ice cream. A new study in JAMA Open Network found that for all women and both men and women who are obese, artificial sweeteners trick the brain into feeling hungry and increase appetite, which can lead to packing on extra pounds.

Special: The Simplest Way to Shrink Your Prostate

Using data from the Brain Response to Sugar study, the researchers discovered that sucralose actually affects neural responses that relate to hunger and reward-driven behavior.

And females with obesity are particularly vulnerable to greater neural responsivity from eating sucralose, especially in prefrontal reward-associated brain regions.

Let's say it one more time: Enjoy black coffee and tea, water (flavored with a squeeze of lemon, lime, or orange), plain club soda, and unsweetened, nondairy milks.

Read food labels and don't buy anything with added sucralose (or, we say, any artificial sweetener) or added sugars and syrups.

Get your sweet treats from whole fruits such as berries, melons, citrus, mangoes, papaya.

Enjoy 1 ounce of 70% cacao dark chocolate daily.

If you do those things, you will have a much easier time controlling your appetite, managing your weight, and shedding pounds if needed. And that's genuinely sweet news.Artificial Sweeteners Can Increase Appetite

Hey there! It's Heather from Discover Nature's Healing Secrets! Here's today's blog post -- check it out and let us know what you think!

Intermittent Fasting 101

Not quite a diet and not quite a lifestyle, intermittent fasting is becoming increasingly popular. It’s been shown to help individuals lose weight, reduce inflammation and even improve brain function. As with any new approach to personal health, however, it’s often difficult to separate fact from fiction.

If you’re considering intermittent fasting to improve your fitness, lose weight or find relief from a chronic condition, it's important to understand what you're committing to before you swear off your morning bagel or padlock the pantry after supper.

What Is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is an approach to eating that involves restricting your food intake to a certain block of hours each day. Many individuals follow the 16/8 method, for example, wherein your limit the hours during which you can eat to a predetermined 8-hour period. Then, for the 16 hours that follow, you don’t eat anything. Others choose two times each week to not eat anything during a 24-hour window that starts after dinner on one day and concludes with dinner the following day. No matter what intermittent fasting method you use, research suggests that this approach to eating can provide numerous health benefits, provided you consume a well-balanced diet when you do eat, as well as maintain an active lifestyle.

What Does Fasting Do to Your Body?

The human body is built to fast. For centuries, men and women have gone for hours, sometimes days, without eating. After all, the fridge and freezer are relatively modern inventions. Ditto for supermarkets and corner stores.

It makes no difference if you’re traveling the Oregon Trail or trying to ditch some well-earned holiday pounds, either. Your body always does the same thing when you switch from feasting to fasting: It goes into self-preservation mode.

Fasting for Weight Loss

When you eat, your body breaks that food down into sugar that your cells use for energy. When you fast, your body taps into its fat reserve and burns that for fuel instead. This can lead to weight loss. What’s more, intermittent fasting has also been shown to boost the body’s levels of human growth hormone, which is good not only for weight loss but also for muscle gain.

Other Benefits

Weight loss isn’t the only way that intermittent fasting may improve your overall health. Some studies show it changes gene function in a way that increases longevity and guards against certain diseases. Research has also shown that intermittent fasting may:

  • Boost metabolism
  • Repair damaged cells
  • Eliminate toxins
  • Lower blood sugar
  • Prevent prediabetes from becoming diabetes
  • Reduce inflammation (and the symptoms of related conditions such as arthritis)
  • Improve brain function
When Should You Eat?

It’s not enough to just place a moratorium on snacking after dinner. Following your body’s circadian rhythm is typically the best way to practice intermittent fasting. This entails limiting your food intake to an 8 to 10 hour period each day, say from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The earlier in the day that window starts and ends, the better: Research shows that a longer overnight fast is great for metabolic function.

What Should You Eat?

For best results, your periods of fasting must be followed by periods of feasting on a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains, lean meats, lentils, beans and healthy fats. Avoid sugar and refined grains. It’s also important to resist the temptation to snack between meals. For fasting to achieve the intended result(s), your body needs time to burn fat. Staying active aids the fat-melting process, too, so for best results, keep moving. Before beginning any new dietary pattern, it’s best to speak with your physician. For many individuals, however, intermittent fasting is a winning approach to losing weight, keeping that weight off and feeling healthier from head to toe.

To your health,
