i have a heart valve that is totally fucked, i have had a kidney removed. two brain aunerysm operations and a heavy heart attack..all in the past 4 yrs. fuck life

Sometimes, even after overcoming difficult situations, we find ourselves unable to feel happy and be at ease. Instead of embracing the good times, we wait for the "other shoe to drop".

It can be hard to move forward when you're stuck in a never-ending cycle of fear and intrusive thoughts. You have to make the effort to break free from this cycle.

Slowly replace fear with gratitude. Question your fearful thoughts. When you acknowledge you're stronger than your fears, they can no longer control you.

When you are grateful, you bring more positivity into your life. Focus on what you appreciate.

Hi there- An early death is not something one plans for, but it’s a looming reality for those who suffer hip fractures after the age of 50. Twenty-five percent of hip fracture patients will die within a year. Another twenty-five percent become confined to nursing homes and never regain their previous function. Bleak- isn’t it?
One in three women and one in five men worldwide will experience osteoporotic fractures — a major cause of mortality and morbidity in the world.
A study found that Osteoporosis patients have a significantly higher rate of celiac disease. And when the doctors put patients with celiac on a gluten-free diet, their bone density improved dramatically.

As COVID restrictions begin to lift in some parts of the world, many of us are facing an unexpected guest at parties; social anxiety.

Whether this is something you’ve battled with your whole life or it’s an utterly new experience, social anxiety can leave you feeling alone, even when you’re in a room surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Although it’s helpful to reflect on what might be causing you to feel socially anxious, it doesn’t always help you feel calmer once you’re in a social environment.

Enter: herbalism.

When you find the right remedy for social anxiety, it can support you in preparing, attending, and decompressing from social events so that the experience isn’t any more jarring for your nervous system than it needs to be.

Whey Protein Builds Muscle

A study from Canada's McMaster University says that whey protein supplements can help prevent age-related loss of muscle mass, especially for older folks who get sidelined because of an operation, illness, or injury.

Whey, the liquid part of milk that separates during cheese production, is packed with all of the nine essential protein-building amino acids.

And it does more than build muscle. It also provides a quick hit of long-lasting energy, helps suppress your appetite, and controls blood sugar.

The study shows that it does its magic while you're inactive. But we say it's most effective when coupled with strength-building exercise two to three days a week.

And it should supplement, not be a substitute for, high-quality, food-based proteins such as legumes, whole grains, and salmon burgers.

There are three powderized kinds: whey protein concentrate, which is 30% to 90% protein with low levels of carbohydrates and fat; whey protein isolate, which is 90% protein with 0.5% fat or lactose; and whey protein hydrolysate is "predigested" and is absorbed the fastest.

They all make great shakes.

Widely recognized for his skill in interventional cardiology, Dr. Jamnadas has been awarded Orlando Top Doctor by Orlando Magazine consecutively for over a decade.
He is on staff at AdventHealth Orlando, and teaches medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Florida State University, the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and residents in Florida Hospital’s teaching programs.
We can use fasting to rebalance our body chemistry, reverse aging, and prevent disease. Dhru and Dr. Jamnadas talk about the large body of science behind this practice.
Fasting can literally help us build a new metabolism through balancing hormones like insulin and reducing the cellular “junk” and inflammation. It’s also an extremely helpful tool for addressing the addiction of eating many of us struggle with.
We live in an age of 24/7 consumption, with food available at all times; we’ve even been told eating five or more meals a day will help our metabolism! Taking some time to let the body fully rest and reset, without having to digest, not only tackles the biochemical reasons for weight gain, but the psychological ones, too.
As a cardiologist, Dr. Jamnadas gives us a thorough breakdown of the impact insulin has on our cardiovascular system. It impacts the heart and every other organ, due to its effects on our blood supply.
After continuously seeing patients who had heart issues with zero traditional risk factors, Dr. Jamnadas began looking more deeply at the root cause and found insulin was a major culprit. 80% of the patients he studied had abnormal blood glucose regulation, though only a third of them had been diagnosed with diabetes. Dhru and Dr. Jamnadas discuss some of the surprising truths of the connections between insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Jamnadas also explains how to prepare for a fast (physically and mentally), why seeds oils are not a heart-healthy food, the truth about dietary salt, and so much more. I hope you’ll tune in.
