Imaging Shows How Bad Red Meat Is

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

British researchers used heart imaging to examine how red meat and oily fish affected volunteers' heart health.

The images revealed that those who ate more red and processed meat had poorer heart function, smaller ventricles, and stiffer arteries. The researchers also found that as study participants ate more fish, their arteries were more flexible and their hearts worked better.

"You kind of are what you eat, and what you eat impacts you way earlier on than what you think it may," said Dr. Tamanna Singh, a member of the American College of Cardiology's Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease Council who reviewed the findings.

Special: The Hidden Heart Risk Even a Cardiologist Didn't See Coming

The study included more than 19,400 people in the U.K. Biobank database. Each had self-reported their food intake and had three heart measures that researchers could analyze. These included cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) images, which doctors use to assess how much blood is being pumped through the heart's ventricle.

Novel CMR radiomics were used to obtain detailed information about the heart's shape and texture, which offer clues about health of the heart muscle. Since stretchy arteries are deemed healthier, researchers also looked at elasticity of blood vessels.

Hi Jimi,

When it comes to coping with a chronic illness, we all know the role that good dietary and lifestyle changes can make.

But the emotions that go with living with a health condition can be particularly challenging to work with.

That's the case for today's guest on the Psychology of Eating Podcast, Hayley, a 39-year old from Johannesburg, South Africa, who has been dealing with fibromyalgia for over a decade.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread pain and tenderness. With an estimated 6 million Americans affected by the disease, fibromyalgia is the second most common condition affecting the muscles and bones. And it’s often accompanied by sleep and memory disturbances, and mood challenges (an estimated 40% of all people with fibromyalgia also struggle with depression).

Hayley first noticed her symptoms after finishing a career as a long distance runner. She was used to being in pain, but expected that it would subside after she quit running. Unfortunately, the pain did not go away. Hayley went for 12 years not understanding why she was in such intense physical pain, only to be diagnosed just a few months ago with fibromyalgia.

Since her diagnosis, Hayley recognizes the key role that her diet plays. If she strays from eating healthy food, her pain increases substantially - as does her anxiety about her condition.

In their session, Hayley asks a logical question: “how can I stay on track with my eating so I can better manage my condition?”

A great question.

But is working with food enough? And what can Hayley do to regulate the anxiety and worry she's feeling about having a chronic condition?

Find out by watching on YouTube ...

Warm regards,

Something like Parkinson's is not the one you want. A fire in the gut is a fire in the brain in this scenario.

The immune system, gut, and nervous system are like 3 cords woven together. Their success or failure is linked together. The GI tract houses the largest component of the immune system and there are a massive amount of sensory neurons for the brain to know what is going on in the GI tract so it can respond accordingly. One of the major ways they communicate is through the immune system.

These types of neurodegenerative diseases are happening younger and younger. I have patients given labels of stuff like this in their 30s. What used to be a disease later in life (like adult-onset diabetes, anyone remember that?) is also happening younger and younger. This is why we see the best long-term results when these various systems are properly evaluated so the best-individualized support can be given.

Every single patient I have seen with a neurological condition, we have always properly evaluated the GI tract... to the tune of over thousands of stool tests. In all of that testing seeing an initial stool test come back as 'normal' doesn't really happen. If a person really wants to improve their brain health, I tell them 'getting to the brain is the first step' since if other systems aren't in place the nervous system pays the price.

This episode showcases why
Dr. Jared does the work he does

He saw first-hand how the body can heal when his daughter was born despite the fact that he and his wife were told she couldn’t get pregnant.

Dr. Jared focuses on the root cause of why his patients are suffering - he helps them get to a state of healing, growth, and repair. Dr. Jared helps his patients focus on WHY they don’t feel good instead of figuring out WHAT they have.

Dear Jimi,
Does the mRNA v@cc!ne increase the risk of deaths in C0VlD cases?
Well here’s some data for you to ponder on…
Mass j@bs with the Pfizer mRNA shot began in Israel on Dec. 19, 2020.
Nearly every Israeli adult has received two doses and a booster. Many have received a fourth shot.
What was the result?
Well, before December deaths were on average of about 17 per day. And after the v@cc!ne mandates they’ve now gone up to over 100 a day.
The data doesn’t lie…
This is a sign to start looking for alternative information to keep you and your family safe.
The media and public health authorities have only two choices…
Admit the truth of their failure…
Or continue to deny it and tear themselves apart.

All the censorship in the world cannot hide a reality this obvious. But let’s be honest…
Do you really think they’re going to start telling the truth now, at this point?
If you want uncensored and fact-based advice on what to do as things unravel. And you want to know what to do instead of these shady v@cc!ne’s...
Register to watch this complimentary documentary - C0VlD Revealed Documentary now.
The world's leading doctors and experts will share exactly what to do in these times.
The truth has been exposed…
The v@cc!nes actually impair the human immune system, inhibits your ability to make inferon, so you have no innate human response.
You have to have that innate system for the antibody to work.
Additional doses are now being urged on more and more people.
In short, your body is no longer yours to control. There is no end in sight.
And they’re just about to start “boosting” the children any moment now.
Be prepared and informed with the truth!
Be sure to register to watch this complimentary documentary - C0VlD REVEALED, starting May 3.

To better health,

*-- Tips for Battling Bad Breath --*

Brush Your Tongue - Just like other parts of your body, your tongue builds up dead skin cells that could benefit from exfoliation. Bacteria and tiny food particles also contribute to bad breath. So what can you do? Use a tongue scraper when you brush your teeth. Most are made of plastic and are easy to use. Just be gentle and remember to clean your tongue scraper every so often.

Swish and Spit - You may not be able to brush and floss every time you eat, but you can do something simple that can be almost as effective. Take plain, fresh water and swish it around your mouth and tongue. Although you can swallow the water, you probably don't really want to so it's a good idea to try this trick someplace you can discreetly spit the water when you're done.

Eat That Garnish - Parsley, mint, and cilantro are more than just attractive garnishes on your plate. Each of these herbs also contains essential oils that can freshen your breath. Give one of them a few chews after you eat and you'll experience their freshening benefits for quite a while.

Talk to Your Doctor - If you've tried everything else under the heading of bad breath remedies, your next stop should probably be your doctor's office. Sometimes bad breath is caused by lung issues, such as an upper respiratory infection or bronchitis. Bad breath can also be an indicator of an unrelated illness, such as diabetes or liver problems. Talk with your doctor to rule out health concerns.

Dear Heart & Health Alert Reader,

Dr. Crandall thought you’d be interested in Dr. Russell Blaylock's column below on protecting your circulatory system.

Also, Dr. Blaylock has some important information on a natural supplement he formulated called Advancin that helps support proper inflammatory response throughout the entire body.

Dr. Blaylock’s patients have had very positive results with Advancin. Please read the information below to see how you can get a 30-day trial of Advancin at no cost to you!

The Editors
Dr. Crandall’s Heart & Health Alert

Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D., writes:

The heart has a very high rate of metabolism, meaning that it needs a constant supply of energy — which requires healthy mitochondria.

One of the effects of aging is a decline in mitochondrial function as well as a reduction in the number of mitochondria in cells, especially cells of the heart, skeletal muscles, and the brain — all of which are highly metabolic tissues.

Special: New Aging Research Reveals Key to Long, Healthy Life

A number of natural compounds have been shown to improve heart function and protect the heart:

• Curcumin

• Quercetin

• Resveratrol

• Gastrodin

• Apigenin

• Taurine

• Bacopa

• Saffron

• Tocotrienols

• L-carnitine (acetyl-L-carnitine)

• Carnosine

• Triphala

Most of these compounds also protect blood vessels and prevent atherosclerosis. Curcumin, triphala, L-carnitine, and tocotrienols improve the function of endothelia, which are the inner linings of blood vessels.

Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D., is editor of The Blaylock Wellness Report and a nationally recognized board-certified neurosurgeon, health practitioner, author, and lecturer.

Zinc doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

An essential mineral…

Zinc is used in hundreds of enzymes…

For crucial functions like the following:

  • Wound healing
  • Fertility
  • Vision
  • Immunity
  • Free radical protection

You may make the mistake of thinking that if you eat a good diet…

Or take a good multi…

You’re getting adequate zinc.

But zinc is complex!

Recommended daily amounts differ…

And many multi’s don’t contain enough of the right kind of zinc.

Throw in the issue of difficulty absorbing the mineral…

And you have a perfect recipe for “Zinc Depletion.”

Hi Jimi!
If you think playing is only for children, think again. The impressive health benefits of playing applies to both children and adults.

Dr. Peter Gray defines “play” using these five characteristics:

  • Self-chosen and self-directed
  • Intrinsically motivated
  • Guided by mental rules
  • Imaginative
  • Conducted in an alert, yet stress-free manner

Meaning, play is not only for children. It’s for people of all ages, genders, ethnic background, etc. Play is for everyone!
Can Play Improve Your Health?
More importantly, research has shown that adults who play more often reap the following health benefits:

  • Reduced stress
  • Increases immune function
  • Reduced risk of chronic disease
  • Better cognitive function

So, how can you enjoy more play, while simultaneously improving your health? Head to the blog to learn more about the health benefits of playing!

Jimi, did you know that they’re working on C0VlD j@bs for kids as young as six months old?

Problem is, they just can’t seem to get them to work…

In fact, they could only get 2 doses of Pfizer’s shot to be 30%-40% effective (we’re not supposed to ask about the rate of injury or side effects).

Rather than admit that j@bs for a population group that has almost no chance of serious repercussions from the virus might just not be a good idea, they’re doubling down…

And Pfizer plans to wait until they can prove THREE shots work better than two before seeking FDA approval.

Here’s the thing… the risks just don’t outweigh the benefits here. Not. At. All.

And if we’re not careful, we’re going to see this toxic j@b added to the growing list of “required” v@cc!nes for kids to be allowed to attend school…

The time to get educated about this is RIGHT NOW.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THIS FREE EBOOK and learn more about the v@cc!ne, its effect on children, and your rights as a parent…

And, while you’re there, save your seat to watch our new C0VlD Revealed series.

Hey Jimi

Yesterday we introduced you to Dr. Fuhrman’s friend Carole who lost over 200 lbs on the nutritarian diet. If you missed it, her story was truly inspiring!

And today, I’d like you to meet Carrie.

Before she met Dr. Fuhrman, she was heavily addicted to sugary foods, had multiple health issues, and even tried (and failed) Weight Watchers FOUR times!

But even after being on the nutritarian diet and losing over 20 pounds, sugar kept calling to her…

Until Dr. Fuhrman sent her his famous Sugar Detox.

Believe it or not, it took her just 21 days and now she has ZERO sugar cravings and has lost a grand total of 63 lbs!

You’ll hear more about Carrie plus hear Dr. Fuhrman explain WHY sugar is so addicting in this video right here.

To your greatest health,
