Well I said a little while back Jim that the biggest mistake I see people make when they go through cancer or any serious chronic disease…

is working with any old naturopathic or functional medicine doctor who doesn’t necessarily specialize in that particular condition.

With cancer, especially, there’s just so much to know that simply knowing the principles of “giving the body what it needs to heal” just doesn’t cut it.

But I think I have to take that back, because I thought of an even bigger mistake…

Not working with a doctor at all!!

I still can’t believe the number of people I talk to or hear about, who have been diagnosed with a life threatening condition which they have little to no personal experience dealing with…

who aren’t seeking out someone with DECADES of experience helping people through this very situation.

(Someone IN ADDITION TO the conventional doctor who has been heavily indoctrinated by decades of pharma sponsored medical school and continuing education, that is.) ;)

If that same person’s car breaks down, you better believe they’re immediately calling a mechanic, and probably spending more money than they’d like to on it…

because they know they’re just ill equipped to deal with that situation on their own.

Life threatening cancer diagnosis, on the other hand?

I can probably figure it out fine on my own. :)

I’ll never forget the quote from my son’s naturopathic oncologist, who turned out to be one of the best in the country:

“Don’t try to catch up to us in a couple weeks after you get diagnosed. We’ve got DECADES of experience on you.”

Hi Jimi,

There are more than 18 million new cancer cases per year.

But here’s a bittersweet fact: the NIH estimates that 30-40% of all cancers can be prevented by lifestyle and dietary measures alone.

Best Ways to Lower Your Blood Pressure

A brisk walk, pumping iron, even a roll in the hay can make your systolic blood pressure rise — temporarily.

But if, like "Southland's" Regina King (svelte and athletic) or ex-quarterback Joe Montana (who'd think it?), you have chronic high blood pressure, you want to know it NOW.

New stats from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal that 75 million Americans have HBP; only about half of them (54 percent) have their condition under control; and about 1 in 5 folks with HBP don't even know they have it.

Special: Doctor: I ‘Prescribe’ This for Hypertension

So for everyone, whether you know if your BP is up or not, here's what to do:

Step No. 1: Get your BP tested; 85 percent of people with undiagnosed HBP have health insurance. So, no excuses — see your doc. No insurance? Most pharmacy chains do a blood pressure check for free. Just ask.

Your numbers? 120/80 is good; 115/76 is optimal (it slashes your risk for heart attacks and strokes in half). Dr. Mike's numbers are 115/75; Dr. Oz stays around 110/75.

Step No. 2: If your numbers are up, try the DASH diet — whole grains, vegetables, and fruit; 30 minutes of exercise daily (walking is our favorite); and if you have salt-sensitive HBP, limit salt intake to 1,500 milligrams a day. You'll slash your numbers by 8 to 14 points.

Step No. 3: Take everything down a notch. Stress leads to overeating, bad food choices, and lousy sleep habits — all risk factors for HBP. So make time for yourself, and try meditation to chill. No pressure, just a suggestion!

When the fall hits, we all think of ways to support our immunity, especially with Covid cases increasing yet again.

BREAKING--Pfizer XBB.1.5 Monovalent Vaccine Tested in 20 Mice, No Control Group, and No Humans

Emergency Authorization Granted without Emergency or Human Data​

At this point, the American public and scientific community is flabbergasted at the complete regulatory malfeasance committed by US FDA VRBPAC and CDC panelists. As of September 12, 2023, the prior bivalent (original Wuhan /BA4/BA5 mRNA Code) has been retired and the new XBB.1.5 monovalent vaccines have been emergency use authorized. From the Pfizer core slides released today, there was a single experiment with 10 mice assigned to the prior BA4/BA5 bivalent and 10 assigned to the new XBB.1.5 monovalent vaccine. They were injected twice, 21 days apart. The new booster was authorized for a single 30 mcg shot in humans.
The pseudoviral antibody responses were greater for the new vaccine against the outgoing XBB.1.5 (3.1% of strains as of 9/2/23) and the incoming EG.5 (Eris) strain at 21.5%, but no information was given about and FL.1.5.1 which is growing at 14.5% in the US population.

There were no human studies presented in the core slides by Pfizer. It impossible to predict what would happen with a single human injection. Their last slide was a single ongoing clinical study of the new vaccine. There are two age groups, no randomization and no control group. There is zero chance to assess human safety or efficacy of the XBB.1.5 vaccine in sponsored studies.
The only thing that will stop ongoing scientific misconduct and regulatory malfeasance is public outrage and booster refusal. The vaccine companies are hauling in record profits, have not analyzed safety nor have they shown any interest in safer more effective products for testing in large-scale randomized double-blind placebo controlled trials. The Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex is completely off the rails! Coming next will be vaccines developed from computer generated mRNA genetic code with mathematical modeling of antibody response and no mice or human subjects at all.

Journals often retract well done studies that challenge the narrative, the lie, that vaccines are "safe and effective". What happens behind closed doors that makes these journals do this is not known. I suspect there is money hidden somewhere for someone to do this.

The data is and always was just the pure raw data from my practice that included 561 unvaccinated and 2,763 variably vaccinated children in my practice from 2008 to 2021. We looked at all health outcomes.

The unvaccinated were much less likely to have chronic health conditions.

With over 80 different types of autoimmune disorders, the range of symptoms can vary widely.

However, there are certain signs that are commonly experienced but often overlooked.

Recognizing these can be key to early diagnosis and management.

1. Fatigue

It's easy to dismiss feeling perpetually tired as a result of a busy lifestyle or stress. However, chronic fatigue is a significant symptom of many autoimmune disorders, including Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome, and Multiple sclerosis.

2. Joint Pain and Stiffness

Often misattributed to aging or over-exertion, joint pain can be an early sign of conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, and SLE.

3. Muscle Weakness or Pain

What might seem like overworked muscles or aging could be indicative of Polymyositis or Dermatomyositis.

4. Digestive Issues

Diarrhea, constipation, or abdominal pain can be misdiagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome or other gastrointestinal disorders. Many stomach upsets might seem ordinary but can indicate conditions like Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis, or Celiac disease.

5. Skin Problems

Issues like rashes and blisters might be brushed off as allergies or even diagnosed as eczema, but can signal disorders like SLE, Dermatomyositis, or Vitiligo.

6. Low-Grade Fever

This can be easily dismissed as being due to minor infections but persistently elevated body temperature can be a symptom of diseases like SLE or Rheumatoid arthritis.

7. Weight Changes

Weight changes (either loss or gain) can be misattributed to dietary or lifestyle changes but these fluctuations can actually be a sign of conditions affecting the thyroid, such as Graves' disease or Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

8. Difficulty Concentrating

Often mislabeled as "brain fog" and attributed to stress, fatigue or lifestyle, cognitive challenges can indicate disorders like SLE or Sjögren's syndrome.

9. Numbness or Tingling

Did you know there's such a thing as allopathic herbalism?

Unfortunately a lot of folks don't, and that can lead to unknowingly applying an allopathic approach to how we use herbs.

It's usually summarized by statements like "this herb is good for (fill in the symptom)."

If you're with me here, I'm assuming you want to be holistic in your approach to herbal medicine. You want to understanding and work with the whole plant to heal the whole person.

But to do that, we have to learn our remedies beyond just what they're "good for," and we have to learn to look at people beyond their symptoms or the name of their disease.

And that is where the traditional approach of vitalism becomes key for your plant path.









What's vitalism? Well in the most simple terms, I'd say that it comes down to learning to listen to nature and following the innate intelligence suffused throughout the natural world.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean just sitting in the woods and meditating all the time (though that's definitely a good idea!)

It means that you understand plants and people as a part of nature, and that your work as an herbalist is following the innate intelligence of the body and the remedies we use. That you work with nature, and not against it.
