The USDA announced a recall of 23,000 lbs of ground beef tonight--despite full inspection in a USDA approved facility. The meat was processed 4 weeks ago.

The type of E. coli found in the meat can cause kidney failure and death. This is a Class 1 recall, the most serious type. Snippets below.

TAKE ACTION

Expand Sales of Homemade Food in Your State

Cottage businesses not only empower entrepreneurs, and artisan/craftspersons to turn their skills into profitable businesses, they also foster community development, promote local economic growth, and preserve traditional practices and recipes.

Every state has some kind of “cottage food” law that lets home cooks sell food to the public. These range from onerous (Delaware) to expansive (Wyoming), but few are perfect. Even in Maine, known for its Food Sovereignty Act, things could be easier for kitchen entrepreneurs.

As the Institute for Justice’s Food Freedom Initiative attests:

Cottage food is safe. Critics who talk about the risk of food-borne illness give hypothetical examples of what could go wrong because real-world cases are rare or nonexistent. There has never been an outbreak of foodborne illness from food sold under a cottage food law–even in California, a state with an economy bigger than most countries that has one of the most expansive laws.

Cottage food is local. When neighbors trade with neighbors, money stays in the local economy and creates and strengthens communities.

Cottage food is transparent. People who buy from a cottage food producer know what they get. If they have questions about ingredients, sourcing or safety, they can ask.

Your legislators need to hear from you, even if you live in a state that already has a pretty good cottage food law. Things could change and not always for the better.

TAKE ACTION: Demand Cottage Food Freedom! Expand Sales of Homemade Food in Your State!

TOXIC SLUDGE

Contaminated: The Carpet Industry

Marie Jackson’s father died in 2022 after struggling with several illnesses. Then, about a year ago, her goats started dying. Now, Marie has nodules growing on her thyroid. She and her parents worked at the local stain-resistant carpet factories in Dalton, GA, that have since been exposed as among the biggest PFAS polluters in the world.

Marie suspected she and her parents had forever chemicals in their blood and that their decades of PFAS exposure were to blame for their health problems. Last fall, she and her mother finally learned the truth. Their PFAS levels were well above safety thresholds.

The communities in and around Dalton, Georgia, are becoming endocrine cancer hotspots because stain-resistant carpet companies have been dumping their PFAS-contaminated waste onto their land and into their water. Concerns are growing that the PFAS contamination has gotten into the local food supply.

Dalton Utilities has forested land they use as a dump for carpet wastewater that they know is soaked with PFAS, but it has long-hosted hunts for wildlife there. Dalton Utilities spreads its carpet-waste sludge on farms and even gave it to home gardeners as “compost.” Dalton is an extreme but not unusual case. Toxic sludge is dumped on farmland and sold as compost across the country.

SUPPORT OCA & RI

Fight for Healthier, Real Food

For too long, corporate interests have dominated our food system, putting profits over people and the planet.

But you can help us change that. The Organic Consumers Association is working tirelessly to promote a more just and sustainable food system, and we need your support.

Two critical issues demand our attention:

1. Cottage Food Freedom: We’re fighting to empower local food producers and promote community development by expanding sales of homemade food in every state. Cottage food is safe, local, and transparent – and it’s time our laws reflect that.

2. Toxic Sludge-Free Farms: We’re working to stop the dumping of toxic sewage sludge on farmland and protect our food supply from contamination.
Forever chemicals like PFAS are poisoning our land, water, and bodies – and it’s time to take action.

Will you join us in this fight?

Your donation will help us advocate for policies that support local food producers, organic and regenerative farm practices and promote community development. As well as exposing the truth about PFAS toxic sewage sludge, pesticides and their impact on our food system.

Help us continue to build this growing movement of concerned people who care about their food and the health of planet for now and future generations. Together, we can create a healthier, more just food system for all.

Please consider donating today, you can help make a difference!

NEW REVIEW

Ultra-Processed Foods Are Engineered To Hijack Your Brain and Should Be Treated Like Big Tobacco

Eric W. Dolan, PsyPost:

“A new comprehensive analysis suggests that ultra-processed foods should no longer be viewed simply as food. Instead, a team of researchers argues these products function more like industrially produced addictive substances.

The review, published in The Milbank Quarterly, draws parallels between the modern food industry and the tobacco industry of the 20th century. The authors propose that manufacturers use sophisticated engineering to create compulsive consumption patterns.

This perspective challenges the traditional view that overeating is solely a failure of individual willpower. It implies that the products themselves are designed to override the body’s natural signals. The analysis synthesizes evidence from addiction science, nutrition, and public health history. It outlines how ultra-processed foods hijack the brain’s reward systems in ways that mirror the effects of nicotine.”

The review focuses on the transformation of raw ingredients into highly potent delivery systems

Major developments are unfolding across America — and today, guest host Jefferey Jaxen breaks down the policy, food system, and investigative stories everyone will be talking about.
With over 700 vaccine-related bills introduced nationwide in just the first months of the year, Dawn Richardson of the National Vaccine Information Center joins us live to explain what’s driving this unprecedented legislative wave and what it could mean moving forward.
Also, how close were Bill Gates and Jeffrey Epstein? Emerging documents suggest the relationship may have been more extensive than Gates has publicly characterized, reigniting global debate over Epstein’s powerful network of connections. We examine what the documents reveal, what investigators are saying, and why these disclosures are once again drawing worldwide attention.
Plus, Jefferey premieres the newest installment of Jefferey Jaxen Investigates: The Great American Food Fight, Part 1, exploring historic shifts underway in the American food system, premiering this Sunday, February 15th, only on HighWire.Plus! Jefferey welcomes a critical guest from the upcoming Food investigation, author Matt Lysiak, to tackle chemical-ridden food in the military, and the new food pyramid that literally turned everything on its head.
Then, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo joins us live to discuss the state’s new Healthy Florida First initiative targeting chemicals and contaminants in baby formula and the food supply — and why other states may soon follow.

When was the last time you thought about your table salt?

If your answer is “never,” I get it.

Most people don’t think about it at all.

It’s just salt, right? Just something you shake onto your food without a second thought.

But, I came across a report that I wanted to share with you, because recent testing found major contaminants in two of the most common types sold in American grocery stores.

Before you season dinner tonight, take a minute to download the free report and give it a look:

Hi there Jimi,

Traumatic brain injury doesn't require being knocked unconscious or obvious head trauma. In the latest episode of Gordon Medical Forum, Eric Gordon, MD, sits down with Mark Gordon, MD, to discuss how mild whiplash, blast exposure, or repetitive impacts trigger cellular mechanotransduction, initiating neuroinflammation that suppresses the hypothalamus and disrupts hormone production throughout the body.
Dr. Mark Gordon discusses why biological resiliency determines who develops severe symptoms from minor trauma, how inflammation blocks neurotransmitter synthesis and receptor function, and why optimizing hormones like pregnenolone, DHEA, and testosterone alongside reducing neuroinflammation is essential for recovery from TBI, depression, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Episode Highlights:
  • Mild or unrecognized TBI initiates chronic neuroinflammation and neuroendocrine disruption.
  • Biological resiliency based on lifestyle factors determines who develops severe symptoms from the same traumatic exposure.
  • Gut dysbiosis, aging, and toxins amplify neurodegenerative risk, necessitating targeted therapeutic strategies.

So...
I was curious about why roses are so connected to Valentine’s Day. What do roses really have to do with love and romance?
Could it be that roses are aphrodisiacs?
I decided to experiment.
My friends and I spent an entire month playing with roses.
At first, some of them were dubious.
"Roses, ugh. Their scent is too strong!” "They remind me of my grandmother.” But they played along anyway…
  • We tended rose plants and gathered rose petals in beautiful places.
  • We made rose massage oil, rose lip balm, and chocolate truffles rolled in rose petal powder.
  • We burned rose incense and floated rose petals in our baths.
  • We drank strawberry rose shrubs and rose-infused tequila.
Oh, and we made rose petal-infused honey. I think that one was my favorite! The taste and smell is absolutely divine and licking it from a spoon or finger is a delicious, sensual experience.
One woman noticed that the simple act of adding rose petals to her bath made her feel like a queen.
Another woman, who had just ended a multiyear relationship, was soothed and coaxed back into her sensuality as a girlfriend rubbed rose massage oil into her back.
And, before the end of the month, one of my friends was pregnant! No joke. Really.
Rose swept us off our feet in ways we never expected.
How did the roses work this magic?
Turns out, there are flavonoids and aromatic constituents within roses that help calm and protect our central nervous system and work with the GABA receptors in our brain to help relieve anxiety.
Roses can also be a tonic for our reproductive systems and can help nourish and heal our skin.
A few years ago, I took a deep dive into learning about these qualities of aphrodisiac herbs so that I could write my book…

Must-See Updates Below👇

Kentucky HB103 – Water Fluoridation Law Amendment

MAHA’s Position: 👍 Vote yes!

Why This Matters:
The MAHA Movement supports this bill because it ends one‑size‑fits‑all fluoridation mandates and restores local control and community choice over adding a neuroactive industrial chemical to drinking water. By allowing communities to opt out of fluoridation and shielding local decision‑makers who act reasonably and in good faith, HB103 aligns with MAHA’s priorities of cleaner water, reduced toxic exposures, and informed, locally driven health decisions rather than mass medication through public infrastructure.
By making community water fluoridation optional and protecting local leaders who choose to end it, this bill advances MAHA’s vision of pure drinking water, local self‑determination, and reduced involuntary exposure to potentially harmful substances.

Wyoming HB0007 – SNAP Junk Food Elimination

MAHA’s Position: 👍 Vote yes!

Why This Matters:
The MAHA Movement supports this bill because it prevents SNAP dollars from being spent on junk food and ultra‑processed food, redirecting limited nutrition assistance toward real, nourishing food. By targeting soda, candy, chips, desserts, and similar items that drive metabolic disease and poor health, HB0007 aligns with MAHA’s goal of using public nutrition programs to support genuine, whole‑food nutrition rather than subsidizing the ultra‑processed food industry.
By seeking to block SNAP purchases of candy, soda, chips, desserts, and other ultra‑processed food, this bill advances MAHA’s vision of government nutrition programs that fund real food, not junk.

Dear Jimi,

Hormonal imbalances, chronic inflammation, and the stress put on the entire body create the perfect storm for cancer – and premature aging is simply a visible sign of these issues.

And while these problems may be deemed as “normal,” they’re the reason why we see younger people dealing with cancer in the first place, as well as why seniors tend to spend decades in sub-optimal health.

The good news is that the biological age of our body isn’t fixed – and we have plenty of strategies to reverse premature aging, promote resilience, and thus keep cancer at bay…

These strategies include tools such as rebalancing hormones, calming inflammation, and creating habits that protect long-term health.

You will find all of this crucial information inside of Episode 4, which is now live for the next 24 hours:

“Aging, Hormones & Cancer: How to Rebalance Your Body and Turn the Clock Back on Disease”

Greetings, Jimi
How many books have you read about healing and energy flow?
How many trainings have you completed?

How much do you know intellectually... that you still can't feel in your body?

Here's why:
Information doesn't integrate without transmission.
Knowledge doesn't become lived experience without a field.

Your body isn't waiting for more answers. It's waiting for you to arrive.
"After 50 years of mind-body practice, nothing compares to this. Wisdom Healing Qigong feels alive, intelligent, and profoundly healing—unlike anything else I've experienced." — Hallie Austen

"The Portal event with Master Mingtong brought me back to the Healing Temple within my own body." — Emma Lawton
Come learn more next Tuesday on Zoom with me:

The Call to Come Home to the Real You
A Live Online Portal Event: February 17, 2026 - 9am US Denver Mountain Time

In the Portal, you discover what your body already knows:

  • How to regulate without forcing
  • How to release without strategy
  • How to heal when you stop trying to heal
The Portal isn't theory. It's transmission you feel in your cells.
Not a class — a doorway into lived presence.

Come home to the real you. Return to your body. Restore your presence.

The Most Hormonally Regenerative Fruit on Earth

How Pomegranate Delivers Bioidentical Estrogens, Rejuvenates Endocrine Health, and Regenerates and Prolongs Life in the Way the Creator Intended.

I have always been interested in pomegranates. A pomegranate bush grew outside my bedroom window all my childhood life. Apparently it was there when we moved into the house when I was a baby. My dad always tried to kill it, thinking he was allergic to it. Of all the pollen, seeds and other stuff drifting in the air, he eyed that pom bush with sheer vengeance. He chopped it down. It grew back. He dug it up. It grew back from roots. He covered it. Didn't work. Always it came back, grew back up quickly, always thrived. Now and then it produced the red fruits, and we kids would smash them open and eat those juicy little arils.

Nowadays, I can't get enough pomegranate juice. It is so sweet with nothing added to it, yet still low in calories. Recently these appeared in the grocery store, not frozen, fresh:

Pom arils.PNG

A bit expensive, but so delicious in yogurt.

I'm not surprised that something that grows so hardily would do good things for our bodies.
