Hey Jimi,

For decades, ibuprofen has been the go-to for inflammation and pain.

But while it may dull discomfort temporarily, it often comes at a cost.

It often comes at a heavy biological cost.

Long-term use can potentially harm your gut, liver, and heart.

Now, researchers are turning their attention to something far more promising.

They have identified a marine-derived compound that works with your body's natural systems.

It resolves inflammation at the source rather than masking it.

Even more impressive?

This breakthrough nutrient does not just mitigate pain.

It also supports brain, heart, and liver health.

These are the three specific systems ibuprofen may compromise over time.

You might be addressing joint stiffness or post-workout soreness.

You may be navigating chronic inflammation.

Either way, this is the structural upgrade your body has been waiting for.

Irregular Sleep Increases Diabetes Risk

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Research found that irregular sleep patterns could be a risk factor for Type 2 diabetes. The results “underscore the importance of consistent sleep patterns as a strategy to reduce Type 2 diabetes,” said study lead author Sina Kianersi, Ph.D.

The study involved sleep and health data on more than 84,000 people enrolled in the ongoing UK Biobank study. Subjects were average age 62, and did not have diabetes as the study began.

Special: Dr. Brownstein: Prostate Revive Really Works!

For seven consecutive nights, the participants wore an accelerometer — a watch-like device that monitors movement while in bed. The researchers also tracked whether or not people developed Type 2 diabetes over the next 7.5 years.

After adjusting for possible confounding factors, Kianersi’s team found a clear association between irregular sleep patterns and a heightened risk for Type 2 diabetes. “Irregular” sleep was defined as sleep duration that changed by an average of 60 minutes or more between nights.

People with an irregular sleep pattern were 34 percent more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes compared to people whose nightly sleep didn’t vary as much.

Here is something the ancient practitioners of Qigong understood thousands of years before modern science had the tools to explain it.
Everything that harms the body works through the same basic mechanism.
It disrupts the flow of energy.
Stress constricts it. Toxins poison it. Poor air and water deplete it. Electromagnetic fields scramble it. Trauma locks it in place. Over time, these disruptions accumulate. The body's natural healing intelligence gets dimmer and dimmer. And eventually, symptoms appear.
Modern science calls these mechanisms oxidative stress, systemic inflammation, HPA axis dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction.
Qigong calls it blocked Qi.
Different languages. Remarkably similar understanding.
What Spring Forest Qigong adds is something Western medicine is still catching up to. A practical, learnable method for restoring that flow from within. Without pharmaceuticals. Without expensive equipment. Without needing to understand biochemistry.
Just your own body. Your own energy. And a few minutes a day.
Grand Master Chunyi Lin has taught this to a quarter of a million people. He made it simple on purpose. Because he believes healing should not require a degree or a prescription.
Beginning March 10, the Spring Forest Healingfest is available free online for three days. Seven video sessions. Three deep healing meditations. A complete introduction to a practice that works directly on the very thing environmental stressors attack most.
Your body's energy. Your body's flow. Your body's ability to clear what doesn't belong and restore what does.

Dr. Deepak Chopra said Master Chunyi Lin has developed an easy-to-follow program that allows you to incorporate the health benefits of Qigong into daily life.
That is exactly what this free event makes possible.

Excitement About Nattokinase Benefits

Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D., writes:

Much research has been done on nattokinase, which has caused a lot of excitement among scientists because it actually dissolves clots rather than acting just as an anticoagulant, as most cardiovascular medications do. It has also been shown to be safer than most anticoagulant medications, and more effective.

Researchers found that at slightly higher doses — about 8,000 FU — nattokinase could dissolve atherosclerotic plaques, which other anticoagulant medications could not. The usual dose was 2,000 FU once or twice a day, taken on an empty stomach. (Otherwise, it is wasted on dissolving your meal and not absorbed.) Nattokinase is poorly absorbed, but most studies show it works, so it must be partially absorbed.

Special: More Than Half of Americans Over 50 Have Bone Loss. Do Something About It.

The other plus was that nattokinase is much safer than anticoagulant medications such as Plavix and Eliquis. In fact, nattokinase is safer than aspirin, which can cause a problem with gastrointestinal bleeding. Taking two DGL-plus capsules with the aspirin significantly reduces the bleeding problem. (Most aspirin is coated, but there is still a problem with bleeding and ulceration.)

There are two drawbacks to taking nattokinase. First, it is a powerful antihypertensive, meaning it lowers blood pressure. Studies have shown that at a dose of 8,000 FU for a week, it will lower blood pressure. If a person has had a stroke, they should not lower their blood pressure. In fact, older people should have a slightly higher blood pressure than what is considered normal (about 135/85 mmHg for them).

The other problem with high daily doses of nattokinase is combining it with aspirin. There is a case report of a brain hemorrhage when they are used together. But that person had other vessel problems. I have spoken to people who took nattokinase every day for more than a year, and they reported very good results at a lower dose of around 2,000 FU once or twice a day — and they had no problems.

Even so, if you take the enzyme you should check your blood pressure each day.

I have been asked about other anticoagulant supplements, such as ginkgo biloba and nano-curcumin, which produces a slight degree of blood thinning, and in my opinion can be safely combined with nattokinase. Each ginkgo biloba capsule is equal to one aspirin a day, and I would not take it at the same time as nattokinase.

One of the hardest parts of a cancer diagnosis isn’t just the diagnosis itself…

It’s the fear that often follows… the overload of opinions…

and the feeling that options are limited.

But alongside conventional care, researchers have been exploring non-invasive technologies designed to support the body at a cellular level.

One area gaining attention involves magnetic field–based therapies.

Researchers are studying how these technologies may help support the body in several important ways, such as:

  • Influencing abnormal cell activity.
  • Supporting immune response.
  • Reducing inflammation.
  • Helping protect healthy surrounding tissue.

What makes this approach especially interesting is that it’s non-invasive and designed to work with the body, rather than against it.

In one documented case, a 53-year-old man with recurrent glioblastoma incorporated a home-based magnetic field therapy into his routine.

After one month, follow-up MRI scans showed a measurable change in tumor size.

Researchers noted that the therapy appeared to influence cancer cell division…

while leaving healthy brain tissue unaffected.

This is just one example of why scientists are continuing to study magnetic field therapies as a supportive approach in complex health conditions.

These aren’t widely discussed technologies… but they’re being examined closely in research settings.

That’s why my good friend, Dr. Wendy Myers and I will be hosting a live educational session this coming Wednesday, March 4 at 8:00 PM ET.

We’ll break down the science behind PEMF therapy,

what the research actually shows,

and how you can start using it to help you on your journey to better health.

If you’d like to learn more…

You can register for the live session here (no cost to attend).

To your health,

Costly Mistakes: Kids and COVID
On this week’s episode of With the Wind, Dr. Paul is joined by pediatrician and medical educator Liz Mumper, M.D., for an in-depth discussion on how COVID-19 affected children and how pediatric decision-making unfolded during the pandemic.
Together, they examine early clinical observations in infants and young children, pediatric infection fatality rates, hospital reporting practices, and the ethical importance of informed consent when medical decisions involve minors. The conversation is grounded in Dr. Mumper’s work, including her book Kids and COVID: Costly Mistakes That Must Never Happen Again.

“The crucial thing to understand is that those children had other illnesses, significant illnesses like leukemia or very chronic and bad asthma. So they weren’t actually dying from COVID itself.”
— Elizabeth Mumper, M.D.

In This Episode, Liz Mumper Shares:

• Early clinical observations of COVID-19 illness in infants and young children
• How pediatric infection fatality rates were frequently misunderstood
• Why hospital reporting practices contributed to confusion about pediatric risk
• Concerns surrounding informed consent during the pandemic
• Ethical issues related to pressure and incentives involving children

Summit banner with Mingtong Gu and 8 other speakers
Greetings, Jimi
Most of us were taught, subtly, or directly, that the spiritual path leads away from the body.

Away from sensation. Away from pain. Away from the hunger and the grief and the exhaustion.

Up into clarity. Out into light. Beyond the messy, impermanent, unreliable flesh.

It's a beautiful idea. It's also incomplete.

Here is what every tradition gathering at this summit discovered, not through agreement, but independently, by following their path all the way in:

Awakening doesn't deepen by rising above the body. It deepens by returning to it.

The body is not what stands between you and presence. The body is where presence lives. Where trauma is held and where it can finally move. Where intuition speaks, not as concept but as sensation. Where the "original intelligence" of life, what Qigong calls chi/qi, what neuroscience calls the autonomic nervous system, what mystics call the living temple — waits patiently for you to come home.

The cost of spiritual bypassing is visible everywhere: healers who are depleted, seekers who understand everything and feel nothing, wisdom that never quite lands because the body wasn't included. This is not failure. It is the invitation to go deeper.

Every voice gathering in this summit, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Tara Brach, Bruce Lipton, Grandmother Flordemayo, Gregg Braden, and more than twenty others, arrived at this from a different doorway. A hospital basement in 1979. A molecular biology lab. A shamanic apprenticeship in the Amazon. A neuroscience research center.

Different roads. The same living truth.

Even the music at this summit is chosen for what it does in the body, not what it means to the mind. Lindsey Wise, Ilka De Cast, Michael Franti, sound as somatic ceremony, not performance. The body has its own way of knowing. These musicians speak that language.

New findings on lifestyle and prostate cancer outcomes

Today, I am excited to share some important findings from a recent study on prostate cancer risk conducted through the Million Veteran Program (MVP). This study provides valuable insights into how lifestyle choices can impact prostate cancer (PrCa) outcomes, so let’s take a closer look…

Study Overview

The study analyzed data from over 280,000 men enrolled in the MVP, one of the largest and most diverse health record-linked biobanks globally. Participants were primarily male (90.4%) with an average age of 61.9 years. The study included men of various ancestries, with 10.9% being of African ancestry.
