There’s a subtle difference between eating nutrients vs actually getting them. But once you understand, you’ll never look at food the same way.
Because your immune system runs on what your body absorbs, not just what’s on your plate. And a huge part of that process happens in your gut.
In fact, that’s where most of your immune activity lives.
So when digestion is working smoothly, things tend to hold up. But when it’s under pressure (even a little) your body has to work harder to access what it needs.
And some foods make that job harder than it has to be. Raw vegetables, dense proteins, fiber-heavy meals… All good on paper, but they ask a lot from your system.
That’s why something as simple as soup can make a difference.
When ingredients are cooked down, softened, blended, your body doesn’t have to do as much of the breakdown itself. It can focus on using the nutrients instead.
Less effort in. More return out.
These are 20 recipes designed to give your body nutrients in a form it can actually work with, especially when your system could use a little support.
So thankful that you're making an investment in your health, your life and yourself.
Because health means everything,
mail
P.S. Here are just a few of the nourishing soups in the cookbook!
  • Ginger-Turmeric Carrot & Butternut Puré - Reduces bloating and helps food move through your system instead of sitting there fermenting
  • Pure Cremini & Kombu Healing Broth - Light, mineral-rich, and meant to be sipped warm like tea when solid food feels intolerable
  • Creamy Asparagus & Leek Soup - Provides digestible fiber and nourishing coconut milk, while staying easy on sensitive digestion

When most people think about cancer, they’re mind goes straight to treatments…

Chemo.
Radiation.
Surgery.
Side effects.

But what if the real story starts long before a tumor ever appears?

There’s a part of your body that’s quietly working every day, scanning billions of cells… deciding what lives and what doesn’t.

And scientists are starting to realize… this system may hold the key to how cancer develops (and how to stop it).

Your body might already know the answer, if you know where to look.

Did you know that many food sensitivities are rooted in nervous system dysregulation?

Chronic stress, trauma, health issues, and head injuries can actually rewire how your body responds to food (and chemicals).

Your autonomic nervous system has two primary functions: fight-flight-or-freeze and rest-and-digest.

Here’s what happens when you're in stress mode:

  • Digestion weakens
  • Detoxification slows
  • Your immune system produces pro-inflammatory signals
  • And your nervous system becomes hypervigilant

And over time, your body begins to treat food as a threat.

It’s estimated that over 70% of adults have experienced at least one traumatic event in their lifetime.

And nearly 50% of adults experience some form of immune reactivity to at least one food.

Car accidents, head injuries, financial stress, and relationship struggles can all condition your nervous system to a chronic stress-state which triggers digestive dysfunction and quite literally wires your system for a hyper-inflammatory response.

If your nervous system is stuck in sympathetic overdrive or hypervigilance, every time you eat, your nervous system may recognize even the healthiest, cleanest foods as a threat.

The next time you encounter that food or ingredient, your immune system perceives the threat.

This is why nervous system regulation becomes MISSION-CRITICAL when trying to overcome food sensitivities.

My friend integrative health expert Jason Prall is hosting the ALL-NEW Food Sensitivity Summit, March 26-31, where 15 experts will show you how to identify if nervous system dysregulation is driving your food sensitivities, and what to do about it.

Save your seat for the 2026 Food Sensitivity Summit: Eat Without Fear

** And make sure you check out the video after you register, where you’ll find a little-known tip you can start using today to soothe your gut and start reducing food reactions.

At this 5-day FREE online event, you'll discover:

- How stress and trauma prime your immune system for food reactivity

- How thoughts, emotions, and injuries trigger food reactions

- Simple shifts you can make at mealtimes to signal safety to your nervous system

- Nervous system regulation strategies that help your body unlearn threat associations with food

Experts like Dr. Keesha Ewers, Dr. Leila Doolittle, Andrew DeGregorio, and Dr. Datis Kharrazian will guide you through both the latest science and practical applications you can use to retrain your nervous system so eating stops activating defensive responses.

Register for the Food Sensitivity Summit and learn how to address nervous system triggers of food sensitivities.

In this episode of The Energy Blueprint, I’m speaking with neuroscientist and bestselling author Mark Waldman. Mark has been on the podcast multiple times, but I find his information so interesting that I’m excited to have him back today.

Mark is now working in a new field called network neuroscience. During our conversation, he explains the framework of this field and shares some very practical but very effective steps to reduce mind-wandering and improve psychotherapy outcomes.

I hope you enjoy the podcast!

(This episode was initially released in Oct 204)

In this podcast, Mark and I discuss:

  • The new field of network neuroscience and the 3 key brain networks that control your perception of the world

  • The science of memories and where (and how!) your memories are “stored” in your brain

  • Why yawning (yes, yawning) is a crucial part of neuroscience research and mammalian behavior

  • 2 powerful and easy steps to slow down your thoughts and reduce mind-wandering…that might be more effective than traditional psychotherapy

  • The possible connection between awareness practices like meditation and structural changes in the brain

  • Why some research seems to show that long-term meditators are more anxious than the general population

  • An exciting form of meditation introduced to the field by Mark and Dr. Andrew Newberg that involves two people instead of just one

  • Why your relationship with your therapist influences your outcomes more than meets the eye
Yours in health,
–Ari

Fruits and Vegetables Lower BP

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Clinical research found that eating more fruits and veggies can lower blood pressure and improve heart health by reducing acid levels in the body. People who added two to four cups of fruits and vegetables to their daily diet wound up with lower blood pressure and reduced heart disease risk, as well as improved kidney health.

“This supports our recommendation that fruits and vegetables should be the ‘foundational’ treatment for patients with hypertension, because we accomplish all three goals [kidney health, lower blood pressure, and reduced cardiovascular disease risk] with fruits and vegetables, and we can do so with lower medication doses,” said researcher Maninder Kahlon, an associate professor of population health with the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.

Special: Top Cardiologist Formulated This for His Own Heart

For the trial, researchers divided a group of 153 patients with high blood pressure and very high levels of blood acid into three groups. One group ate more fruits and vegetables, another group took two sodium bicarbonate tablets daily, and the third kept following standard care.

The sodium bicarbonate group wound up with better kidney health than the control group, but didn’t gain the blood pressure and heart-health benefits of the fruits-and-veggies group.

In addition, the people eating more fruits and vegetables required lower doses of blood pressure medication.

Hi Jimi,

When you or your loved one received a cancer diagnosis, the focus immediately shifted to treatment.

And while that definitely matters, there is something equally important that is often overlooked.

Something that can influence how the body responds, even when you are doing everything you have been told.

Discover the often-overlooked factor that may be influencing your body’s ability to heal, and how to gently support it.

You see, cancer diagnosis doesn't just affect the body.

It also significantly affects your nervous system, the part of you that determines whether your body feels safe enough to repair itself.

It’s also affecting your immune system, which needs to be functioning at its best to support your recovery.

And over time, it can affect your emotional state and how you see yourself.

Most cancer treatment focuses entirely on the tumor.

On killing cancer cells, shrinking masses, and eliminating disease.

But very few practitioners address the internal stress patterns that influence how and why cancer actually shows up in the body in the first place.

And even fewer address what happens to your nervous system when you're living in a constant state of waiting for the next scan, the next result, the next piece of difficult news.

Here's what you need to know:

Your body does not heal in a state of chronic stress. It heals when it feels safe.

Not enough people know about this, which is why I'm hosting a complimentary live webclass called The Healing Code for Cancer: The Missing Foundation Behind the Diagnosis.

It’s happening on Tuesday, March 24th at 4:00 PM Eastern.

In this one-hour session, I'll reveal:

Why two people with the same diagnosis can experience completely different outcomes based on their internal environment.

The biology of safety and why your body cannot prioritize repair and recovery while it feels chronically threatened.

How to shift from fear-based healing to empowered healing and the neurological difference it makes in your recovery.

Practical tools to calm your nervous system in real time, especially when fear starts to rise.

How to begin retraining your internal stress response safely, gently, and effectively.

How your nervous system shapes your immune resilience and how moving out of “survival mode” creates a more supportive internal environment for healing.

If you've been feeling like there's a missing piece to your healing that nobody's addressing, this is it.

Register for The Healing Code for Cancer: The Missing Foundation Behind the Diagnosis.

Wishing you health and happiness,

Hi Jimi,
I was born in a one-room log cabin in the Canadian wilderness.
My parents were living on less than $1,000 a year, growing most of their own food.
Of course, they named their kid Ocean. (They almost named me Kale — way before kale was cool!)
I grew up monetarily poor but rich in meaning and in health.
So when I heard about Robin Greenfield walking barefoot from Canada to Mexico with almost nothing to his name, I was fascinated.
And I think you will be, too!

Hi jimi.

If you’ve been meaning to take better care of your health, but keep putting it off, this is your reminder.

This is your last chance to join the FR-EE Plant-Based Beginner’s Bootcamp.

Registration closes soon, and once it does, it’s gone.

Here’s why this challenge matters so much.

The same way of eating that supports sustainable weight loss also shows up repeatedly in research on heart disease, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, cancer risk, and even Alzheimer’s.

That’s not a coincidence.

These conditions share a common root cause…chronic inflammation.

And the most powerful way to address those roots isn’t another pill.

It’s food.

Inside the Plant-Based Beginner’s Bootcamp, Certified Plant-Based Health Coach Kim Murphy shows how simple, whole plant foods can support your body in powerful ways:

  • Eating in a way that helps weight loss happen naturally, without constant hunger
  • Lowering cholesterol and heart disease risk by changing what’s on your plate
  • Supporting steady blood sugar and insulin sensitivity instead of fighting carbs
  • Reducing inflammation linked to cancer and cognitive decline
  • Nourishing the gut and brain in ways connected to Alzheimer’s prevention
And she does it without extremes, restriction, or complicated rules.

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning what actuallyworks and how to make it doable in real life.

Over 4 days, participants get:
  • Short, evidence-based daily masterclasses
  • Fun cooking demos with simple, delicious meals
  • Clear guidance on what to eat (and what matters most)
  • A supportive, non-judgmental private community
  • Simple daily actions you can actually follow through on
Many people join for weight loss…then stay because their cholesterol drops, blood sugar improves, joint pain eases, energy returns, and brain fog lifts.

And it all starts with food.

👉 Click here to save your spot before registration closes

Hey Jimi,

Just recently… something concerning came to light in Texas.

Over 5.1 million pounds of toxic chemicals were released into the air in a single year.

Not from a major refinery…

But from something most people would never think twice about.

Barges.

Small vessels quietly loading and unloading along the Houston Ship Channel.

According to investigators, these emissions may include chemicals like benzene and toluene…

Researchers have long studied substances for their potential impact on the body.

What’s concerning is that this isn’t a one-time accident.

It’s happening as part of normal, everyday operations… often without clear oversight or accurate measurement.

One former environmental scientist even suggested the real numbers could be much higher.

And for the people living nearby… this isn’t just something on a report.

It can show up as:

Ongoing fatigue that doesn’t seem to go away

Brain fog or trouble concentrating

Respiratory irritation or discomfort

And in some cases… more serious long-term health concerns.

The challenge is that exposure like this doesn’t always come with an obvious warning sign.

It builds quietly over time.

Which is why more people are starting to ask:

What can we actually do to support our bodies in a world like this?

Because while we may not control what’s released into the environment…

We can take steps to better support how our bodies respond to it.

You can see everything you need to know about this toxic exposure here!

Jimi, do you know the difference between a food allergy and a food sensitivity?
If someone eats peanuts and their throat swells, that’s a food allergy.
It usually happens within minutes to a couple of hours and can include hives, swelling, or even anaphylaxis.
But if someone eats peanuts and later feels bloated or tired (without any immediate reaction), that’s more likely a food sensitivity or intolerance.
The difference lies primarily in how your immune system reacts.
Allergies involve IgE antibodies (which are designed to protect the body from immediate danger). They tend to trigger fast reactions.
About 1 in 9 adults in the U.S. have at least one food allergy, and globally the average is around 1 in 33.
Then there are food sensitivities or intolerances, which are not usually IgE-driven.
Symptoms can be similar to those of allergies but may also include bloating, headaches, fatigue, or brain fog.
Because symptoms show up so much later (often 24-72 hours), sensitivities are much harder to pinpoint.
By the time you notice the signs, you’ve likely forgotten what you’ve eaten that may have caused it!
So that got me thinking, I should take a community poll.
Would you please reply and answer this question?

Which foods cause a reaction in you?

A) Nuts
B) Shellfish
C) Dairy
D) Gluten
E) Other (let me know)

Please respond to this email and share what food(s) your body doesn’t seem to love.
And do you think it’s a sensitivity or an allergy?

I’m curious to see your answer!
Wishing you abundant health,
Jason Prall

Hey Jimi,

If you’re caring for someone you love through cancer, I want you to know something first.

What you’re doing matters more than you may realize.

And I also know it’s not easy.

There are moments of uncertainty, emotional weight, and the quiet pressure of trying to stay strong for your loved one while navigating your own feelings.

I’ve seen this firsthand when my granddad was diagnosed back in 2012.

Over time, I came to understand something important:

The way someone feels supported during this time can make a meaningful difference in their recovery.

Discover simple ways to support your loved one while also taking care of yourself here.

Patients who feel supported, emotionally and socially, often experience less distress and a greater sense of stability, which can influence their overall well-being.

But there’s another side to this that often goes unspoken.

The role of the caregiver.

Because while you’re doing everything you can to support someone else, it’s easy to overlook the support you need as well.

That’s why I created something to guide you through this.

It’s called “Supporting Loved Ones With Cancer: A Guide for Caretakers.”

Book Cover Titled: Supporting Loved Ones With Cancer

Inside, I walk you through:

How to support your loved one emotionally without feeling overwhelmed

Simple ways to create a calmer, more supportive environment

How to care for your own well-being while still being there for them

Ways to navigate this journey with more clarity and steadiness

You see, taking care of yourself is not separate from supporting them.

It’s part of it.

If this speaks to where you are right now, you can explore it here:

Download the guide and begin supporting both your loved one and yourself in a more balanced way.

🎥 Speaking of films…Something’s Coming 👀

Earth Conscious Life VIP members already saw the trailer for my new film a few weeks ago, so there won’t be a mystery for some of you…
mail
More details coming soon!
A few years ago, I began working on a project with one of my all-time heroes. I’ve long admired this activist for his radical experiments that challenge how we think about our food system and our relationship with the Earth – the kinds of questions most people never pause long enough to ask.
In my first solo directing debut, I’ve had the opportunity to document what might be his most radical experiment yet… a journey that relies almost entirely on the generosity of the land and the people he encounters along the way.
What unfolded wasn’t just about distance. It became a deeper exploration of simplicity, trust, and what it really looks like to step outside the systems we’ve come to depend on. And somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like just his story… and started feeling like a mirror held up to our own lives.
The film has already been making its way through festivals and has even been honored with a few awards so far, which has been incredibly encouraging to see. But I haven’t shared the full details with you yet.
I’ll be revealing everything on Wednesday – including the title, the story, and how you can watch it.
I can’t wait to share this with you.

💬 Poll

Can you guess who the film is about?

*after you choose you can type your guess, or hit reply to this email to tell me

Hi Jimi

Here’s something most doctors never tell you:

Your body can invite cancer in…

…without you even knowing it.

Chronic inflammation. Toxic chemicals in your home. Stress that silently wears you down. A weakened immune system.

These aren’t made up theories.

Dr. Dana Flavin has spent decades uncovering the hidden forces that actually allow cancer to grow.

In this exclusive interview, she reveals:

✔ Why tumors aren’t the full story
✔ The “silent triggers” you’re exposed to every day
✔ How to build a body where cancer struggles to survive

You’ll also see how simple, doctor-designed steps… used by survivors and holistic coaches… can give your body the defenses it actually needs.

=> The cancer causes your doctor isn’t talking about

Food Revolution Network
Hi Jimi,
A couple of weeks ago, I spent a day in Washington, D.C., with Senator Cory Booker, HHS Secretary Kennedy, Education Secretary McMahon, CMS Administrator Dr. Oz, AMA President (and 2026 Food Revolution Summit speaker) Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, and the deans of dozens of medical schools.
The announcement: Starting in the fall, at least 40 hours of nutrition education will be required for 33,000 medical students in America.
Until now, three-quarters of medical schools have required zero nutrition education. That is finally changing.
And the Food Revolution Summit has been part of the reason.
For 15 years, we've been bringing the world's leading food and health experts directly to millions of people. Because you deserve to know what the research actually tells us about food and health.
Tomorrow, we open registration for the 2026 Food Revolution Summit: The Science of Food and Wellness. We're convening 41 of the world's leading food and health experts, and hundreds of thousands of healthy food lovers, for what could be our most important Summit yet.
It starts on April 22. Watch for your invitation tomorrow.
To your health,
Ocean Robbins
P.S. My dad, John Robbins, built this with me for 14 years. He passed away last year. I'm carrying him with me into this one.

Dear Jimi,

I hope you're feeling perfect today :).

This common ingredient acts like “Miracle Gro” for cancer cells.

Most people have it sitting in their cupboard right now, eat it with almost every meal, and they don’t know how TRULY harmful (and addictive) it can be.

>> Find out what it is inside this new book: “Cancer’s Favorite Fuel” right here.
300 years ago, the average American consumed about 4 pounds of this per year…

Nowadays, on average, we consume about 76 pounds of it per year!

PET scans (Positron Emission Tomography) show that when this common household ingredient enters your body…

It flocks to tumor cells much like metal attracts to a magnet… and it causes them to multiply and grow faster.

As many of the experts we featured in our docuseries Cancer Unraveled explain, certain everyday foods can actually accelerate cancer growth inside the body without people even realizing it.

Learn more about this ingredient and why you’re addicted to it inside this new and immediately useful book from our friend and cancer researcher Nathan Crane.

Nathan is a certified holistic cancer coach, a certified professional nutrition coach, a 20x award winning documentary filmmaker and a senate recognized cancer researcher.

When it comes to understanding what causes cancer and how to beat it, he’s one of the most trusted voices in the natural health space today.

Inside his book, you will find out exactly what this common ingredient is, how to overcome its overwhelming cravings, and how to cleanse it from your body immediately.

Lime Juice Could Save 100's of Thousands of Lives Each Year

While billions of dollars are poured into research and development for pharmaceutical drugs, the humble lime has been proven to mitigate and even cure diseases that cause millions to suffer and hundreds of thousands to die each year worldwide.

The Deadly Cost of Prescription Drugs: How Natural Alternatives Could Save Lives

In a medical system that claims to "first, do no harm," a silent epidemic of pharmaceutical deaths is claiming hundreds of thousands of American lives each year. Meanwhile, the very substances demonized as dangerous - vitamins and minerals - have a pristine safety record. It's time to re-examine our deadly dependence on drugs and embrace the healing power of nature.

How My Father Finally Healed

My father is a Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Cell Biology at Rutgers University. A scientist. A toxicologist. A man who spent his entire career inside the world of conventional medicine — and believed in it completely.

This interview covers how we addressed his infection. But recovery is never just one thing. It took prayer. It took family. It took a trainer, exercise, nutrition — Vitamin C for cardiovascular function, and a wide range of targeted approaches to address the root causes, not just the symptoms.

And it took him sleeping again.

That's where Miso Sleepy came in — and why I want to highlight it specifically as Part 2 of this story.

Because here's what people miss: the infection and the insomnia weren't separate problems. They were feeding each other. No sleep means no immune repair. No immune repair means the infection holds on. The cycle is vicious — and breaking it required addressing the root of the sleeplessness, not drugging it away.

Miso Sleepy doesn't sedate you. It restores you.

Hi Jimi,

When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it’s completely natural to feel fear.

In an instant, your internal dialogue can change. You might find yourself thinking:

“How long do I actually have?”

“What if the treatment doesn’t work?”

“I’m afraid of the next scan.”

These thoughts are human.

But what many people aren’t told is that this ongoing fear can begin to affect the body in deeper ways than we realize.

Discover how to move from “Survival Mode” back into “Healing Mode” here.

You see, your body is constantly shifting between two states: Survival or Healing.

And when those “what if” thoughts become constant, your body can remain stuck in survival mode.

In research, this is often referred to as Fear of Progression (FoP), which is the ongoing fear that things may worsen over time.

Studies have shown that when this state becomes chronic, it can dysregulate your body’s central stress response system, the HPA axis.

When that system is overstimulated, it begins to influence how your body functions physically, including how it responds to treatment.

This isn’t just emotional. It’s biological.

Because when your body is constantly signaling threat, it shifts its resources toward protection, not repair.

This means:

Your body is not prioritizing recovery.

Your immune system is not operating at its full capacity.

Your internal environment becomes less supportive of healing.

Simply put, your body cannot prioritize repair and recovery while it feels chronically threatened.

Wishing you health and happiness,

Fasting Cuts Diabetes, Heart Disease Risks

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Having your meals in a consistent window of 8 to 10 hours may help prevent and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, according to a study published online in the journal Endocrine Reviews.

“People who are trying to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle should pay more attention to when they eat as well as what they eat,” said researcher Satchidananda Panda, from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, Calif. “Intermittent fasting can improve sleep and a person’s quality of life as well as reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease.”

Special: Heart Diesase Often Goes Undetected. Dr. Crandall Reveals the 4 Signs You May Be Missing. More Here...

The study found that when eating was restricted to fewer than 12 hours a day, sleep and quality of life improved. At the same time, risks for heart and liver disease and obesity decreased.

Recent research has shown that genes, hormones and metabolism rise and fall at different times of the day.

Aligning when we eat with the body’s internal clock can optimize health and reduce the risk of chronic conditions.

“Eating at random times breaks the synchrony of our internal program and make us prone to diseases,” Panda said. “Intermittent fasting is a lifestyle that anyone can adopt. It can help eliminate health disparities and lets everyone live a healthy and fulfilling life.”

Hi Jimi, it’s Sarah Otto.
Did you know that learning to breathe can be one of the best and easiest ways to improve your health?
It might sound a little crazy. Who needs to “learn” to breathe, right? After all, we’ve been breathing since the moment we were born.
But there’s so much exciting research emerging around the science of breathing that, honestly, it’s mind-boggling!
Like this one:
In a Stanford study, people who practiced a simple breathing technique for just 5 minutes a day saw measurable reductions in anxiety and improvements in mood — even more than people doing meditation. (1)
I love this because breathing requires no special equipment, no intense effort, and it’s something anyone can do anywhere to quickly feel more calm and energized.
Later today, my friend, colleague, and energy expert, Ari Whitten, is teaching a free live class called Breathing For Energy.
⇒ RSVP for the free live class here — it starts today!
In this class, Ari will show you:
  • A simple 10-minute breathing method that noticeably increases your energy levels…
  • How to rewire your nervous system out of stress mode and bring your anxiety down…
  • Why “take a deep breath to calm down” might be bad advice — and an alternative breathing technique that works better…
  • The 4 keys to optimal breathing (and how to rewire your brain into doing it automatically)...
  • Why correct breathing can resolve brain fog, provide restful sleep, and superboost stamina and fitness…
  • And much more!
You’re already breathing.
How cool would it be to transform something you’re already doing into one of the best ways to reduce stress, boost energy, and give you all-day mental clarity?
Ari will show you how to do that (and more) with a simple breathing method that takes just 10 minutes a day.
The Breathing For Energy live class starts later today.
⇒ RSVP now for this free live training (spaces are limited)
