Just a reminder that tomorrow, Nichole Dandrea-Russert, RDN, and I are going live for our free webinar: The Plant-Powered Breakthrough: Heal, Optimize, and Thrive.
A few things we'll cover:

  • Why beans may be the single food most consistently linked to longevity across every culture studied, and how to prepare them so they don't cause digestive trouble (no more musical fruit toots!)
  • The spice combination that can increase a key anti-inflammatory compound's absorption by up to 20x
  • What the Blue Zones research reveals about how the world's longest-lived populations actually eat
  • The myths that keep even well-informed people from experiencing the full benefits of a plant-powered diet
And we'll spend real time on implementation: how to make this work in your actual kitchen, on a real budget, without it taking over your life.

Save your spot
We start at 8 pm ET on May 7, but if the timing doesn't work, there will be a replay and a second session on Saturday. And I do hope you’ll join us live tomorrow if you can!
Yours for breakthroughs that last,
Ocean Robbins
P.S. At the end, we'll introduce the newly updated Plant-Powered & Thriving, our signature course launching Monday, with a 60% discount for webinar attendees. But the webinar is designed to be valuable on its own. Register here.

Overmedicalization and Holding Fauci Accountable – Your MAHA Media Hub Recap

mail
The overmedicalization epidemic has affected millions of Americans with treatments being given to patients without true informed consent. Secretary of HHS Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined the MAHA Institute this week to discuss the issue and the path forward, announcing a new HHS program focused on research into tapering off SSRIs and helping those who feel trapped on them safely get off.
The other major MAHA™ topic of the week is the movement rallying around a call for the DOJ to indict Anthony Fauci for committing perjury in Congress by saying he did not provide funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The DOJ has until May 11th to indict Fauci before the statute of limitations runs out. In order to regain trust in the public health system, those who lied, deceived, and contributed to that distrust in the first place must be held accountable.
At this week’s MAHA Media Hub, we gathered leading voices in the MAHA Movement to discuss these and other pressing MAHA issues:
Sen. Ron Johnson joined to discuss his team’s new findings in the COVID cover-up, specifically how public health officials knowingly covered up severe adverse events from the COVID vaccine.
Congressman for Michigan’s 7th congressional district, Tom Barrett, discussed his personal journey into the MAHA Movement and the fight for body autonomy when it comes to vaccines, and MAHA Action President Tony Lyons proudly gave him MAHA Action’s full endorsement for his upcoming election.
Former Health Advisor to President Trump, Katy Talento, joined to discuss how, before Sec. Kennedy, Big Pharma played a major role in shaping public health decisions, often to the detriment of the American people.
Media Hub Comment of the week:
“What a great day it is to MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN. SO GRATEFUL TO ALL who are standing, being a voice and driving positive changes! GOD BLESS AMERICA.”

MILLIONS AGAINST MONSANTO

This Week We Beat the Pesticide Industry — Here’s How Your Rep Voted

Two things happened this week that, taken together, tell us everything we need to know about the fight we are in, and why we are winning.

Thanks to the network of OCA supporters, and our allies and advocates across the country who sent letters, made calls, and refused to back down, the House stripped three pesticide liability provisions from the Farm Bill last week.

These are both excellent reads to learn more about what happened this week:

Despite Defeat of Pesticide Liability Shield, House Farm Bill Still 'Has Industry Fingerprints All Over It'

No Safe Bets — Supreme Court Glyphosate Case Seen Too Close to Call

The Luna Amendment passed 280 to 142, removing the sections that would have handed Bayer-Monsanto a get-out-of-jail-free card for cancer lawsuits and blocked states from regulating pesticides. This is a real win, and it belongs to all of us.

Three days before that vote, the same company sat before the Supreme Court in Monsanto v. Durnell and asked nine justices to rule that 60,000 cancer victims have no right to hold them accountable, because the EPA, which Bayer has spent decades lobbying and influencing, has never required a cancer warning on their product. The Trump administration is actively supporting Bayer-Monsanto, siding with the company in court, and arguing their case.

Analysts came out of the courthouse unsure which way the court will rule. A decision is expected before the end of June.

We’ll be watching the Supreme Court closely, and we’ll keep you all informed every step of the way.

TAKE ACTION: Find Out How Your Member of Congress Voted and Let Them Know What You Think!

Click here to see the Roll Call Vote on the Luna Amendment.
YES votes are for Monsanto-Bayer to be held liable for pesticide harms. NO votes are to relieve the company of liability for pesticide deaths and illnesses.

If your Member of Congress voted YES, thank them here.

If your Member of Congress voted NO, let them know what you think here.

NEW RESEARCH

Grass-Fed Beef Is More Nutritious Than Grain-Fed — And Now Science Is Catching Up

If you’ve been paying extra for grass-fed beef, and care about our environment a new study says you’re making the right call.

Researchers comparing grass-fed and grain-fed beef systems found that grass-fed beef contained three times more phytochemical antioxidants than its grain-fed counterpart. Vitamin A levels were nearly three times higher. Vitamin E was four times higher. And the pastureland where the grass-fed cattle grazed had 40 percent more organic matter in the soil than the cropland used to grow grain for feedlot cattle.

That last point matters as much as the nutrition numbers. Healthy soil and healthy food are not separate issues. When cattle graze on well-managed pasture, they build the land while they feed. When they’re packed into feedlots eating commodity grain, the animals and our land, water, air and health suffer for it.

Grass-fed farming is regenerative agriculture in practice, something we can all benefit from, better meat, better soil, and a food system that works the way nature intended.

Read the full study.

NEW STUDY

Why Are Young People Getting Colon Cancer? Researchers Point to Pesticides

by The ASCO Post Staff:

“A new study has identified for the first time the exposome footprint—the set of environmental and lifestyle exposures—for colorectal cancer occurring in patients younger than age 50 through epigenetic signatures. By comparatively analyzing DNA methylation patterns in patients under and over 50, the work, published by Maas et al in Nature Medicine, confirms the influence of factors such as diet, education level, and smoking.

While an estimated 90% of worldwide cases and deaths occur in individuals over 50 years old, in recent years, a disproportionate increase in the incidence of early-onset colorectal cancer has been observed. In the United States, early-onset colorectal cancer is already the leading cause of cancer-related death in men under 50 and the second in women under 50.

‘In this analysis, we observed significant differences in epigenetic signatures associated with diet, tobacco, and pesticide exposure,’ said Silvana Maas, PhD, a postdoctoral investigator in Dr. Seoane’s group and first author of this study. ‘Among the pesticides, a very clear correlation signal stood out between exposure to the pesticide picloram and early-onset colorectal cancer.’”

The incidence of early-onset colorectal cancer was significantly associated with picloram use, even after adjusting for sociodemographic factors and exposure to other pesticides.

Tell Congress: Pass Real Food Safety Reform — Not the Chemical Industry’s Version

A major battle over what goes into your food is currently unfolding in Washington, and the outcome will impact every family in America.

On April 29th, the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee held a hearing on 28 food safety bills — including Rep. Frank Pallone’s Grocery Reform and Safety Act, the real reform bill that would finally close the notorious GRAS loophole. That loophole, which stands for “Generally Recognized as Safe,” has allowed food and chemical companies to self-certify that their own ingredients are safe to eat, bypassing FDA review entirely. Nearly 99 percent of all food chemicals introduced since 2000 have entered our food supply through this loophole, with no independent safety review whatsoever.

Pallone’s bill would change that. It would require companies to submit actual scientific evidence to the FDA before putting new chemicals in our food, and it would mandate regular reassessment of chemicals already in the food supply every three years.

But the chemical industry has its own bill waiting in the wings. The so-called “Better Food Disclosure Act,” pushed by the American Food Industry Trading organization AFIT, sounds good on paper but would do the opposite — expanding industry self-policing, weakening the FDA’s already limited authority, and blocking the state laws that have been leading the way on food safety. Both health and consumer advocates on both sides of the aisle have called it what it is: a wish list for the chemical industry.

The hearing just happened, it is being debated now, this is exactly the moment when constituent voices matter most.

TAKE ACTION: Tell Congress to pass Rep. Pallone’s Grocery Reform and Safety Act — and reject the chemical industry’s fake alternative!

Back in 2020, Dr. Alessio Fasano of Harvard Medical School shocked the world when he declared that “all disease begins in the leaky gut.” And because one of the biggest causes of leaky gut are food allergies - particularly gluten - a whole new realm of allergen-free nutrition was born.

Since then, we have seen an explosion in gut health books, autoimmunity protocols, and elimination diets. In this emerging science, there is one person I trust more than anyone else. His name is Dr. Tom O’Bryan.

Dr. Tom is the author of The Autoimmune Fix and an internationally recognized speaker and writer on chronic disease and metabolic disorders. He has dedicated his life to understanding the complications of Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, Celiac Disease, and the development of autoimmune diseases.

A few months back we had a great conversation as part of The Sacred Science Inner Circle, and I wanted to share a curated segment from it with you today. In the video below, we unpack the infamous “leaky gut” syndrome and explore the role systemic inflammation plays in almost every chronic disease we know of.

If you’ve heard the term leaky gut innumerable times but still don’t really grasp what it means, then this clip is for you. Dr. Tom really breaks it down, explaining how genetics, food allergies, environmental triggers, and tears in your intestinal lining contribute to chronic systemic inflammation and the creation of dis-ease in the body.

Nick talks to Dr. Tom O'Bryan in this Inner Circle video clip

According to the CDC, 14 of the Top 15 leading causes of death in the world today are chronic inflammatory diseases.

That means that getting your gut right is imperative to improving every other system of your body.

If you enjoy this clip with Tom, you can watch the full conversation with a FREE trial membership to our Inner Circle. You’ll also get access to more talks like this and a ton of other monthly goodies.

Hope to see you there!

It’s almost hard to believe we are almost halfway through this year.
After the past many weeks fighting Congress on FISA Section 702 renewal, you’d think we might have a chance to breathe a bit.
But no.
While Congress is out this week (which means they can’t inflict any more damage on our nation for the time being!), there is certainly much work to do.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has a packed agenda for the next six weeks before Congress shuts down for much of the summer (so they can presumably campaign rather than govern).
This pause does, however, give us a moment to reevaluate the situation and the issues we can take on. We have many irons in the fire right now:
• We've been fighting the Surveillance State and the unregulated use of AI to spy on you. With Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act – which the feds have been using to spy on millions of law-abiding Americans, millions of times – now due to expire in mid-June, it's critical we keep the pressure on Congress to END warrantless mass surveillance of Americans.
Your Campaign for Liberty has been a leading voice on this issue.
There are many in Congress who we thought were on the right side of government spying.
But instead of holding to their ideals and following the Constitution, they’re toeing the party line instead.
• We've been fighting to BAN the Central Bank Digital Currency. The House of Representatives passed a bill to BAN the CBDC months ago, but the Senate has taken no action yet. And we know getting this legislation over the finish line will be a huge battle against those who want a currency they can monitor, profile you with, and even confiscate from you.
• We've been fighting to rein in the spending, cut government waste, and balance the budget. The last spending bill was another travesty that will add trillions to the national debt, but another budget battle is in the works. We won some rescissions when some DOGE cuts were made permanent, but Congress managed to find more ways to spend and increase our national debt to over $39.209 TRILLION!
• We've been fighting to stop funding no-win wars and end foreign aid. Congress is pumping an unprecedented mountain of your tax dollars into the military-industrial complex, including hundreds of billions to fund a new “Golden Dome” and foreign wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. The war in Iran is on a tenuous ceasefire one day and back to attacks the next. This is another quagmire that hurts Americans more than it helps them.
And of course . . .
• We've fought for seventeen years to Audit the Fed, and we're closer than ever to having a total victory in this term. Now that my son, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), has reintroduced Audit the Fed in the Senate, and we have Republican majorities in both chambers plus a President who is clearly very unhappy with the Fed, this could be the year we finally get Audit the Fed done.
The biggest impact C4L can have on liberty comes by being on the same page with supporters like you who make all we do battling back against the tyrants possible.

That’s why I hope you’ll take this quick survey my staff has prepared to gauge your opinion on the critical battles we’re facing today and those we’ll see over the coming months.

Should Campaign for Liberty focus on:

• Preventing the continued injections of so-called “military aid” to foreign countries that only serves to escalate no-win wars that are destroying whole countries and damaging our diplomatic relations across the world?
• Demanding an end to warrantless spying on Americans under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which has been used to unlawfully spy on law-abiding Americans millions of times, from concerned parents to Donald Trump himself?
• Passing Audit the Fed, and holding the banksters accountable for the secret political manipulation and debasement of the dollar?
• Prohibiting the Fed from implementing a Central Bank Digital Currency, which will utterly destroy your financial privacy and security? Under this scheme, the dollar would become an electronic currency the government could use to spy on and seize from you.
• Reining in the out-of-control federal budget, before the interest payments on the debt become completely unsustainable and America is on an unstoppable free-fall?
You probably feel, as we do, that all of these things are important. Every day, we have to assess what is most urgent.
But we can only fight on so many fronts at once, and we want to know which of these issues is most important to you.

Please take a moment to complete our brief Campaign for Liberty Supporter Survey. Your responses will help guide us on these tough decisions.

Over the past few years, you and I have fought back and won some extremely critical battles, including STOPPING statists’ worst attacks on your gun rights, ENDING authoritarian plans for vaccine passports, TERMINATING leftist assaults on the filibuster, THWARTING the worst of Biden’s “Build Back Better” scheme, SHUTTING DOWN the globalists’ WHO Pandemic Treaty, and more.

Now we have the chance to go on offense . . . and yet, we find ourselves just as often playing defense with Republicans in power.

In fact, if you’ve seen my recent mail and emails, you know the authoritarians in D.C. are working on plans to force you and me into a cashless society by ushering in a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), censoring free speech, spending your tax dollars like there’s no tomorrow, and the list goes on and on.

Focusing solely on any one area means Campaign for Liberty will simply have to let the statists in BOTH parties get their way in another. I can’t even bear to think about what that would mean for the future of our country.

I think if you had the choice, you'd probably tell me

“FIGHT EVERYWHERE! DON’T GIVE AN INCH!”

Quite frankly, I’m worried Campaign for Liberty could be looking at massive across-the-board cuts to our programs without a massive influx of funds.

Without the support of patriots like you, I simply won’t be able to run even a full program on any one of these critical battles, let alone all of them!
Fighting the statists everywhere will mean I simply must count on you to go above and beyond what you’ve done in the past.

If you've been told your tests are normal — but you know something is still deeply wrong — I want you to know: I hear you.

I really do. Because I've been there myself.

Years ago, I was the one searching for answers, pushing through protocols that promised results, and wondering why nothing was working. My own experience of chronic fatigue is what led me to dedicate my life to understanding it — and to building the Optimum Health Clinic with the sole purpose of helping others find their way through.

Since then, I've worked with thousands of people living with ME/CFS and fatigue-related conditions across 50+ countries. And one of the things I hear most often is how isolating it feels. How dismissed. How exhausting it is to keep searching when the answers don't seem to come.

That's exactly why Kirsty and I want to invite you to join us for a free, live webinar on Monday 11th May at 3pm BST.

We'll be sharing the integrative approach that underpins everything we do at the OHC — the methodology that has helped thousands of people find their path back to health.

In this 60-minute session, you'll discover:

✅ Why recovery requires an integrative approach — and why treating fatigue as purely physical or purely psychological keeps so many people stuck
✅ The power of functional medicine — getting to the root of your illness, not just managing symptoms
✅ How your nervous system connects mind and body — and why this is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle
✅ Why psychology work is part of the journey — and how to approach it in a way that feels compassionate, not overwhelming
✅ How our team works together — so you get a genuinely joined-up approach built around you

Whether you're early in your journey or have been struggling for years, I hope this session gives you a clearer picture of what recovery can look like — and what it takes to get there.

Book your free place here or using the button below.

Everyone wants a diagnosis that comes with a matching prescription. One problem, one treatment, case closed. But ME/CFS and Long COVID have never cooperated with that model, and that's not a flaw in the patients. It's a flaw in the framework.

In the latest episode of the Gordon Medical Forum podcast, Dr. Gordon sits down with Dr. Kaufman to make the case that these illnesses are better understood as seven distinct but constantly entangled pathologies: connective tissue disorders, dysautonomia, gut dysfunction, mast cell activation, autoimmunity, reactivated infections, and cranial cervical instability.

Not one of these is a footnote. Each can drive the others, mask the others, or make treating the others nearly impossible if you don't know what you're looking at.

That's the problem with throwing a single intervention at a seven-layer illness. You might be treating the loudest signal while the real driver runs quietly underneath.

This conversation is about learning to see the full picture, and more importantly, understanding why the sequence of treatment matters as much as the treatment itself.
They discuss why addressing the Cell Danger Response and vagus nerve dysfunction comes first, before protocols and treatments can work, as well as simple daily practices that can support shifts from reactive and bedbound to functional again. They also discuss why trauma processing and somatic work matter as much as any medical intervention.

Hi Jimi,
Stress isn't just a feeling.

It lives in your nervous system, your sleep, your digestion, your hormones.

For many of us, it quietly becomes the background noise of everyday life - so familiar it starts to feel normal. But it's not normal. And the body keeps score.

That's exactly what we're unpacking in our free masterclass + live experience next Tuesday with Dr Espen Wold-Jensen - neuroscience researcher, breathwork practitioner, and someone who knows from personal experience what the body is capable of when you work with it, rather than against it.

In 90 minutes, you'll discover:

→ Why stress lives in the body - not just the mind, and what that means for how you actually address it
→ What breathwork does at a physiological level that nothing else quite replicates
→ A live guided breathwork practice with Dr Espen - something to feel, not just hear about
→ What shifts when the nervous system finally gets a chance to regulate

This is free, live, and on Tuesday 12 May at 5pm PT. We'd love to have you there.

Save your free spot here. >>

Replay available for a short time if you can't make it live, but the live experience is something different entirely.

In good health,

Hi Jimi,

USC researchers studied cancer patients under 50 who had never smoked — and found their diets were healthier than the national average, yet their cancer risk is dangerously high.

In addition, a Florida Atlantic University study of 4,787 adults found that 60% of the average person's daily calories raised heart attack and stroke risk by 47%, yet what drives the damage goes deeper than food.

Plus, University of Queensland researchers just confirmed that depression is not a serotonin problem — there's a completely different energy failure that Western medicine has never once targeted. Thankfully, the real cause of depression is finally in focus.

Hey Jimi,
What if the reason you keep starting over has nothing to do with willpower?
Most people assume they're the problem.
But what if it's actually the approach?
If you've ever found yourself starting over on a Monday, again, you already know something isn't working.
Not because you're doing it wrong, but because the thing you're doing is built to end.
That's the core problem with dieting. And it's why so many people spend years cycling through plans, losing the same weight, and wondering why nothing sticks.
The shift that actually changes things isn't finding the right diet. It's stepping out of the diet mindset altogether.

Dear Jimi,

As the pandemic was taking shape, I hosted a book club event for our team on “The Lonely Century” by Noreena Hertz. As a veteran of the high-tech industry, I was ironically growing concerned about the isolating effects of interconnectivity. In other words, with how prevalent devices are in intermediating what is passing for communication.

Even before the wave of social distancing measures, I was concerned that our customers were at risk of a combination of patient fatigue and systemic isolation. As we know, prostate cancer can be emotionally taxing in subtle ways, particularly amongst those also stoically providing emotional support to loved ones.

Today, let’s explore how and why, in a society prone to technology-driven over-communication, “real” connection and communication are absent for so many. To do this, let’s redefine “noisy” as “engaged” and, by doing so, transform the archetype “strong, silent type” into “strong, noisy type.” Noisy in a good way: engaged, active, and living fully.

Our goal here is to reap the health and quality of life benefits of properly tending to our social needs, which is one of our defining features as human beings. Something that stood out to me in Hertz’s book is research indicating that loneliness increases cancer risk and is the statistical equivalent of smoking fifteen cigarettes a day. As such, this is a bad habit we need to break.

Although there is no quick fix for loneliness, there are choices we can make to mitigate the risk. Here are a few suggestions to consider:

  • Why not put down your handheld device, turn off your TV, and focus on the art of conversation? It is like an old friend.

  • Why not invite a neighbor, colleague, friend, or family member out for a cup? Not only will they be pleased that you thought of them, they will also be reminded that there is no substitute for in-person, uninterrupted conversation.
  • Remember that the second syllable in “iPhone” implies that it makes calls. So, once a day, why not surprise a different friend or family member with a catch-up call?

  • It is as easy to cook for 2-3 people as it is to cook for yourself. Why not enjoy variety on both the plate and at the table a few times each week?
  • Amazon will be fine without you. If you can “brick and mortar” shop, why not do so? Getting out and about has benefits, including enjoying new experiences and meeting new people.
  • At the expense of redundancy, why not turn off all devices for an hour or more each day? Yes, all of them. Go for a walk, hit the gym, or get together with friends and family.
  • Consciously reduce your levels of avoidable stress.
  • Keep fit and have fun doing it.
  • Prioritize and tend to the quality of your sleep.

This is simply a starter list for you to consider. What matters is that you consciously make choices that disintermediate technology from your social life, and you don’t ignore the risk of isolation in the modern world. Each day you are fighting the good fight against prostate cancer and have earned the right to fully embrace and enjoy the life you are reclaiming, rebuilding, and renewing. Consistent, authentic social engagement will contribute to the virtuous cycle we want for you, so get a bit noisy, will you?

All the Best,

Bok choy is one of my favorite spring greens. It cooks up fast, tastes so fresh and pairs with just about anything.

This recipe started as a "what do I have in the fridge" kind of meal. It turned into one of those dinners I keep coming back to.

Here's why bok choy belongs on your plate this season:

💚 It's a cruciferous vegetable — that means it gently supports your liver in metabolizing estrogen, which is a game changer for hormone balance.

💚 It's rich in calcium and magnesium — two minerals your body needs for steady moods, restful sleep and strong bones.

💚 It's loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants — these nourish your adrenals and help your body handle stress with more ease.

💚 It's gentle on digestion — light, hydrating and easy on the gut, which is where so much of hormone health begins.

Sprouts are a powerhouse for hormone balance
Spring Bok Choy Beef Stir Fry

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients:

For the beef:
  • 1 lb grass-fed organic ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • Green onion, chopped (for topping)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (optional — omit if you don't tolerate seeds)
For the veggies:
  • 1 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 heads bok choy, chopped
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • ¼ red onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • Pinch of red chili flakes
  • Chopped green onion, fresh cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds for topping

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the garlic, ginger, and coconut aminos until cooked through. Set aside and top with green onion and toasted sesame seeds.
  2. In the same skillet, warm the avocado oil. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the bok choy, carrots, zucchini, red onion, celery, and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour in the coconut aminos, toasted sesame oil, and red chili flakes. Stir everything together and cook until the veggies are tender, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Top with more green onion, fresh cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds. Serve the veggies alongside the beef and enjoy.
This is one of the easiest ways to use up any extra veggies you have in the fridge and it makes a beautifully balanced hormone-supporting meal just as it is.

Hit reply and let me know if you try this one, I'd love to hear how it turns out! 💛

If you or someone you love has been dealing with an autoimmune condition — this conversation with Dr. Michelle Perro is worth your full attention.

Michelle is a pediatrician with nearly 45 years of clinical experience and one of the first physicians in the country to prescribe organic diets as a medical intervention. In this presentation she walks through the specific mechanisms by which glyphosate contributes to the rise in autoimmune disease: how it damages beneficial gut bacteria, blocks vitamin D absorption, and triggers leaky gut — the breakdown of the intestinal barrier that sends the immune system into a state of chronic, misdirected alarm.

Watch the replay of her full presentation at the Real Truth About Health Conference here.

🌎 Planet Health

This photo was taken in the high mountains of Adjara, Georgia, while I was doing my project there. It was summer, but the temperature didn’t feel like it. I spent most of my days standing in front of this amazing view, thinking about the life that was waiting for me back in capital. Suddenly, I had a very strong desire to talk with the fog. Loudly. Thought it had many stories to tell too.
🌎 FOREST CONSERVATION: Human, animal, and environmental well-being “intersect” in what’s referred to as “One Health.” This recent conservation study of native rodents in Madagascar shows that they thrive in “core” native forests, but get taken over by dominant, invasive species in fragmented, degraded landscapes. Read more from the founder of Mongabay on this fascinating study, and the perspective of “One Health.”
🍓 VERTICAL STRAWBERRIES: What if that nearby vacant office building grew your lunch? The “working at home” lifestyle means now empty offices can become indoor farming locations, like THIS farm in Virginia: transforming unused space into 4M lbs of premium strawberries, resulting in lower emissions, and a smarter way to live and work.
🦸‍♂️ ENVIRONMENTAL HEROES: If you’re in need of environmental inspiration, these 25 international scientists were just named “champions” of addressing ecosystem, food, and water challenges. Categories of their expertise range from “measuring and mitigating emissions” to “restoring and building resilience into our ecosystems.” Read all about the PLANET LEADERS here.

When Your Brain Starts Whispering

Ever walk into a room and forget why you’re there?
Or blank on someone’s name mid-conversation… even when you know you know it?
Those moments feel small. But they’re signals.
Not that your brain is “failing” – but that something deeper might be out of sync.
One of the most overlooked pieces is the connection between your gut and your brain. When that communication breaks down, it can show up as brain fog, forgetfulness, low mood, even early signs of cognitive decline.
The encouraging part is this isn’t a dead end.
There’s a growing body of research showing that when you support that gut–brain axis, the brain can begin to repair, regulate, and function more clearly again.
This isn’t about extreme diets or piling on supplements.
It’s about understanding what’s actually driving those symptoms and addressing it at the root.
Inside this research, you’ll learn:
  • Why memory lapses can start in the gut
  • How to support your brain’s natural repair systems
  • What’s being used in real clinical settings to improve cognitive function
  • A simple framework to protect long-term brain health
If you’ve been brushing off those little signs, it might be worth a closer look.

Hi Jimi,
Imagine being told, "Your colon is so damaged, you'll need surgery or medication for the rest of your life."

That's what doctors told Shamiz Kachwalla in 2012, after he was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis.

Shamiz was hospitalized for weeks. He lost a dangerous amount of weight. At his lowest point, he was so weak he couldn't even walk. But then Shamiz made a decision that changed everything.

He adopted a whole food plant-based diet; foods that nourish and heal the body instead of inflaming it.

And his body responded fast.

Within weeks, his symptoms diminished, and his strength began to return. Follow-up tests showed dramatic healing in his colon.

Today, Shamiz is symptom-free, actively competing as an endurance athlete, and helping others reverse inflammatory bowel diseases.

If you or someone you love is struggling with gut issues, this interview is a must-watch.

Healing is possible. Shamiz Kachwalla is living proof. Enjoy!

Interview topics include:
-The limits of conventional medicine
-Shamiz's diagnosis and early symptoms
-"Sick care" vs health care
-Shamiz's rapid decline in the hospital
-Getting worse before getting better
-Facing surgery and lifelong medication
-Nourishing his body back to health
-Symptoms drop and strength returns
-How faith and hope play a big role in recovery
-Overcoming setbacks
-Food as the root cause and solution
-From a hospital bed to an ultra-endurance athlete
-30-day plant-based challenge
-One healing story is all you need
-Food is the gateway to radical life change
-You must believe that healing is possible
-And more!
May you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers...
