Hey folks,
A couple years ago I was at a conference in Missouri and forgot my sunscreen. By the time I got back to the hotel, my skin was already turning red and every store in town was closed.
So I dug through my bag and improvised with what I had on hand.
The next morning the sunburn was gone.

What if some people diagnosed with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disease, anxiety, or even early Alzheimer's are actually dealing with an underlying infection that was never properly identified?
Today, I’m sharing my conversation with Dr. Richard Horowitz, a board-certified internist who has treated more than 13,000 patients with Lyme and tick-borne disease over the last four decades, many of whom had already seen countless doctors and collected diagnoses like chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, and early dementia before discovering Lyme may have been part of the picture.
Dr. Horowitz calls Lyme “the great imitator” because its symptoms can overlap with so many other conditions, and since 2016, Dr. Horowitz has published 11 papers on treatment approaches. In one of his latest studies, he and his colleagues explored a possible connection between Lyme disease and Alzheimer's biomarkers, reporting major improvements in certain inflammatory and cognitive-related markers after treatment.
We discuss his broader “MSIDS” model, which looks at chronic illness through a much wider lens. Instead of looking for one single cause, the model examines multiple overlapping factors that may contribute to illness, including infections, toxins, gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, sleep issues, immune imbalance, and inflammation.

Excitement About Nattokinase Benefits

Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D., writes:


Much research has been done on nattokinase, which has caused a lot of excitement among scientists because it actually dissolves clots rather than acting just as an anticoagulant, as most cardiovascular medications do. It has also been shown to be safer than most anticoagulant medications, and more effective.

Researchers found that at slightly higher doses — about 8,000 FU — nattokinase could dissolve atherosclerotic plaques, which other anticoagulant medications could not. The usual dose was 2,000 FU once or twice a day, taken on an empty stomach. (Otherwise, it is wasted on dissolving your meal and not absorbed.) Nattokinase is poorly absorbed, but most studies show it works, so it must be partially absorbed.

The other plus was that nattokinase is much safer than anticoagulant medications such as Plavix and Eliquis. In fact, nattokinase is safer than aspirin, which can cause a problem with gastrointestinal bleeding. Taking two DGL-plus capsules with the aspirin significantly reduces the bleeding problem. (Most aspirin is coated, but there is still a problem with bleeding and ulceration.)

There are two drawbacks to taking nattokinase. First, it is a powerful antihypertensive, meaning it lowers blood pressure. Studies have shown that at a dose of 8,000 FU for a week, it will lower blood pressure. If a person has had a stroke, they should not lower their blood pressure. In fact, older people should have a slightly higher blood pressure than what is considered normal (about 135/85 mmHg for them).

The other problem with high daily doses of nattokinase is combining it with aspirin. There is a case report of a brain hemorrhage when they are used together. But that person had other vessel problems. I have spoken to people who took nattokinase every day for more than a year, and they reported very good results at a lower dose of around 2,000 FU once or twice a day — and they had no problems.

Even so, if you take the enzyme you should check your blood pressure each day.

I have been asked about other anticoagulant supplements, such as ginkgo biloba and nano-curcumin, which produces a slight degree of blood thinning, and in my opinion can be safely combined with nattokinase. Each ginkgo biloba capsule is equal to one aspirin a day, and I would not take it at the same time as nattokinase.

There's a quote I heard from an old friend, Dr. Dennis Perman, that captures the heart of my health philosophy in a single line.



I encourage you to pause and digest it:



Who you are determines how well what you do works.



Now, this could be applied to many areas of life. But the one I want to focus on with you today is your health.



The "who" context, once understood, will change your life.



Let me explain…



This is the reason behind something I've been working on for a long time - a concept I want to share with you today.



I call it Supra-Healing.



"Supra" - meaning above, or transcending the usual level. So: above or beyond the normally understood level of healing.



It's one of the most important ideas I've come to understand in all my years doing this work. And I haven't talked about it publicly in this way before.



It explains, for example, why two people taking the exact same supplements or doing the exact same exercise routines can get radically different results.



Stay with me…



To understand supra-healing, you first have to understand the foundational premise Laurie and I hold for our life:



FORM FOLLOWS ENERGY



Anything that exists in material form is following an energetic pattern.



If there is a tumor in a body, it's following an energetic pattern that preceded its material manifestation. A skyscraper in a city originated as an energetic thought in the mind of an architect. The form of a relationship is following the energetic pattern of the people inside it.



The energetic comes first. The material follows.



Now apply that to your body.



Your body has an extremely complex energetic container.



When that container is high frequency and coherent — health and vitality are what get expressed.



When the container becomes lower frequency and incoherent — disease, disharmony, and degeneration become the result.



If this sounds abstract, it's actually proven in plain sight every day inside mainstream medicine.



It's why the placebo effect works. Positive thinking (which is energetic) literally improves health outcomes.



It's also why the nocebo effect exists. Negative thinking can produce more pain, more sickness, more disease.



Traditional medicine has known about placebo and nocebo for decades. They just can't really explain them. Because the explanation lives in a layer they don't acknowledge.



Traditional medical practice operates on the premise known as materialism - treating named diseases with drugs and surgery. It doesn't really understand the energetics of the body, or the mind-body connection.



It's working downstream of the energetic container, on the material side. When that’s the only thing being done, the most powerful lever - the container itself - gets ignored entirely.



Supra-healing incorporates the practices that operate on the energetic scale rather than the material scale.



Meditation. Breathwork. Certain forms of chiropractic. Many other practices that improve the frequency and coherence of the energetic container.



When people understand supra-healing, it can be life-changing and life-giving.



If you were to take a moment right now and contemplate the energetic state of your own container, how would you rate it?
