At work today a new employee (supposedly) accidentally brought his cell phone onto the warehouse floor. Then at break time when he tried to take it back to his locker security stopped him when it set off the metal detectors. They just wanted to look at it, take a photo of it, and write up info on it to make sure it wasn't stolen from a case in the warehouse. It's standard policy, we have cell phones in the warehouse so it's a big no-no to bring yours out on the floor.
Well, the person refused, diligently. Refused to let them look at it, refused to let them inspect it, didn't even let them get close to him. Of course, this only raised alarms among the security staff. More people gathered trying to talk with him, he kept refusing and backing up whenever anybody tried to get close. Went on for several hours so they resorted to calling the police. Don't think he will be back working there. Fired after only one week for possibly stealing a cell phone.
