Hey, Dale, I got a question about those OBS Engines. They are dual coil, but would they still work if you only put one coil in them? Are there holes in the bottom that would need to be plugged? Just wondering if there is a way to make complex tanks be simple...
Rich, I haven't even opened one of the boxes...if you want a few, PM me...I'll send um.

Mesquites here grow a maximum of 2 feet a year. We have one that started growing when moved in, in 2011. It is currently around 10 feet tall.

Not sure what type of Mesquite trees you have. The mesquites here will grow a minimum of ten feet a year if you water um daily.

I just did a little checking online. It seems we have the velvet mesquite. The seed that grew came from a tree that died after being about 26" in diameter. We use the wood for barbecuing.
I don't know about mesuites having needles. Our mesquites have small leaves.

That is a different variety than what we have.

People have claimed that the thorns can cause blood poisoning. I know they hurt like hell, and can flatten car tires. That being said, ours is nowhere near the road or the driveway, and close to the property line. It's still so young that I still haven't seen thorns on it yet. Compared to most mequite trees in the area, it's a baby.

Indeed, just trimming branches I'll get them lodged in my work boot soles. I think I've had one of those thorns go completely through a shoe in the past.

Good to know he's still alive and kickin'... studying... probably looking for info to convince his other cancer friend to stay away from the oncologists.
I hope so...but yes, he is watching videos about natural help for that dreaded disease.

I'm back to single coil attys too Lannie. I also forget the name of the atty Roxie helped design, I bought one, but don't use it anymore...perhaps the Boreas?....I really can't remember.

Duh, that's it. How could I have forgotten?

The Boreas.
I think you would like the Merlin kind of a single coil version of the Boreas.

Nope, but I almost got one once. Then I kept hearing about how restricted the airflow was. Anyway, it's Nanos only for me now. They tick every box on my "want" list, and they're fast and easy and never leak. Can't ask for anything more. These ones I have had better last me the rest of my life, though, since they quit making them now. Of course, finally someone designs a perfect tank, so they quit making it. If I didn't love them, they'd still be in production, but since I DO love them, they quit. Story of my life...

The Merlin is not very restricted and has a removable air orifice under the coil to make it a slightly restricted DL.
With the restrictor in place it is a bit looser than a Subtank MIni on airflow.

You know how they work. If an item does not break down and screw up, they can't expect you to buy replacements, so they discontinue it. They proceed to manufacture pure shit for the masses to throw good money after bad at, since the majority of the masses are assumed to be too stupid to know the difference. All we are to them are mindless, faceless consumers with money to burn.

Lowe's price on OSB has gone up an awful lot lately. Good thing I got done what I had to before the cost went up. ~areas under siding~
It's the economy growing.
How can the economy grow if we do not pay more for stuff we already buy?

Yep but pretty much the only 'economic growth' we have had for a while.
Silly me. I thought economic growth included paying higher wages so workers would not have to ride a bus and eat ramen noodles. Everything is getting so expensive, and wages are staying so stagnant, I don't understand how that is supposed to work out, unless... we follow North Korea's economic system. But, I digress.

How was your day, Rich....get the rain you thought was coming?
Sprinkled some last night and was cloudy most of the day today, but the rain delayed -- maybe tonight. However, we have warnings for severe storms with 3" rain accumulation for Saturday and Sunday.

I spent my day cleaning the mower deck (about 30 pounds of crud), cleaning and prepping a few chainsaws to get ready to start cutting firewood, then, because I have been totally unsuccessful at getting the gas/hydraulic log splitter running, I dug out an old electric/hydraulic splitter that quit some years back and tried to get it working again. The motor runs fine, but the hydraulics just are not pushing the wood or returning when the handles are let loose. :deadhorse: Much head scratching... Wish I had a service manual because the operator manual is of very little use here. Anyone here know anything about the Powerhouse XM-380 electric log splitter (7-Ton)?

I don't know anything about that particular log splitter.

How much wood do you usually burn during a "normal" winter?

Found this and it mentions a bleeder screw and maybe air being in the system.
Perhaps the hydraulic pump has lost it's prime? This manual does have a parts diagram.
