Hey guys, speaking of bad hips... I think @Jimi also has a similar problem...
I told you folks two weeks ago that I fell on ice that was invisible and landed on my left hip. Hurt like hell all day, then I used Lannie's salve on it and it felt better. Well, it is getting worse and I can't come up with a reasonable explanation. Getting to the point where it is painful to even walk unless I am pushing in (i.e., putting strong pressure on it). Any of you have any bright ideas? Did I hose the bursa sac in the joint?
Damn, Rich...sorry to hear that....can't think of anything for this issue which could help.

No it gives me the jitters when I take benadryl, weird huh
Not weird.
About 1/2 hour after taking it my legs tend to 'draw' a bit, but it passes fairly soon.
If I take Naproxen less than 6 hours before bedtime it keeps me awake.
Hydrocodone will do the same to me.

yeah why I also take Benadryl and Trazadone.
The benadryl also helps with my chronic sinus condition due to me being a Septal Deviate...
Well my nose anyway.
And Trazadone is supposed to help with my chronic depression. Maybe a little...
Not being able to get enough sleep is depressing.
I was wondering what Trazadone was

I hope you didn't do what I did when I was young. I was running, took a turn, and fell due to me damaging my right hip. It never did heal right.

I've been getting it for 2 years now, I don't like having to take it but I really don't like being up all night and feeling like a zombie the next day either
Last time I got it, they'd only give me a 2 week prescription. I made it last 2 years, only taking it when I really needed it. Now, if what I have don't work, I stay up til I pass out.

Back in the old days, when I was building homes, sleep wasn't much of a problem....now I'm working from the computer most of the time, not getting as much exercise as I'd like.

I'm one of those guys who has "climbed every mountain" in the past -- and fallen off a lot of them. Fell off a cliff, Flying crashes on skis, end of end at speed, etc., etc. Drowned in Class IV rapids after crashing into an underwater boulder (NDE - long story). If I could find a way to hurt myself under the pretense of "exploring," I usually did. I do not mean to imply that I am even remotely suicidal - just that I took a whole lot of radical risks that often ended badly. This fall a couple weeks ago was just an "oops" and crash. It should not have done serious damage when all those other things did not. So I am scratching my head. OK, OK, I was 20, 30, 40 then and 69 now, so maybe it makes a difference, but this is still ridiculous.

I was 24 when I permanently screwed up my hip. It felt as though I dislocated it. I was already a gimp, but that certainly didn't help.
At age 69, I'm sure Arthur Itis came into play, making it worse.

Looks like all the old pharts have a hard time sleeping....cept Rich, who works his ass off all day.
Somehow I doubt it is the work. More likely it's snuggling pussy when I go to bed. :xD: OK, perverts, I'm talking about the pussy cats. They like to cuddle and that makes sleep happen a little easier for me. THEY are my drugs, so I don't need pharmaceuticals.

Now that's something that helps me sleep, a good storm
OK, I just found a cheap way to get you folks off sleep drugs. Buy yourself a white noise machine (plays babbling brook, rain, waterfall sounds). I used to have one, but it broke a zillion years ago, so on those few nights when sleep is evasive, I found that I can put the TV on one of those SiriusXM stations that plays soothing music. Get one that turns itself off after an hour or two.
