A nasty storm cell just whipped through here..some scary looking shit. Just as I was walking to the store too.
I knew t-storms were in the near forecast and radar, but nothing like this thing. Yes, that thing was rotating.
On the way there, this was an uh-oh moment...
This was a bigger moment when I got around one building and saw this...see that circular bit there?
It was rotating and heading down. Rain coming straight down in there with lightning in it.
Kinda like this zoomed-in pic....a genuine cloud-burst
And this. That was very disconcerting.
Fuck Winter, Darkness is Coming.
I did a Gomorra-style look back as I walked real fast home and saw this...beautiful and full of Oh Fuck.
That line is the swirly bit being spread out wider...then the middle thinner part showing. Nothing but rain and fuckery in there.
Just before it hit over my head as I got home. We got intense lightning and thunder and about 4-5" of rain in about 5mins.
Minor flooding here. I'm at like 2,000+ elevation here, some low areas got far worse.

We're now the proud owners of a 2nd vehicle -- a 2017 greenish-yellow Kia! Mainly it's just so that my husband gets his truck back, and our son has a vehicle to use so he can get a job, now that his Associates degree is nearly finished -- his school was right down the street from my husband's job, so one vehicle for that wasn't too hard to deal with... but he needs to broaden the territory a bit, to find a decent job, so that requires having another car. Now we have it! YAY!

So, outside at work the other night, dude higher than a kite on pain killers veers off the main road, hops a curb and sidewalk, goes between a utility pole and tree. These are the tire marks.
THEN...
Luckily, no one was hurt, this happens after our break. Dude passed a breathalyer, but then they found the pain killers in his car. Dude goes to jail.
Just insane.
