Hey one question though. On your post you said 180watts/10.4v do you know why I would only be at 10v? I got to 180watts but only 10 volts. Any thoughts?

Hey all, I know it's been a while since I've checked in, figured you'd be sick of seeing the same 4/5/6 wraps of 20g around a 3/32nds in different atomizers hahaha.
So here's something actually new and interesting! My first build on my fantastic new series box built by Andy Bader of XRayBoxMods;
View attachment 9070
Dual 10-wrap of 22g Kanthal A1 around a 3/32nds, ohm'ing to .32 in the Doge.
I want to try this build today for a cloud comp at a local shop. I dont have any drill bits. Is there any other things i can wrap em around with? I have screw drivers but they are numbered 1.5mm 2.0mm 1# 2#. Please help.
Same atty too.

I personally prefer the purpose designed vacuum pump method. Wait, we are talking about something else?

I don't have a drill bit set. I use all kinds of stuff. Paperclips, the center post from a cobra atty that sucked so I ripped it apart, screwdrivers. All kinds of random stuff and it works well. You can use nails (clean and not rusty lol) you Nam it. The cheap mini screwdrivers that come with all the attys work well for a lot of builds.

Triple coil on my stilliare dripper .39 ohms. 10 wraps per coil #0 Phillips head screw driver.
I call it the Flux Capacitor.

Now rebuild kayfun chimney coil with 26 guage to mate with 15 watt dovpo elvt only capable of firing down to 1.3 ohms.
07aeb0bf2e44c519f6a9a60c468956fd.jpg

The old coil was much bigger than the new coil going from 1.1 ohms @ 13 wraps around a 3mm post now to 26 guage 12 wraps around a #0 Phillips at 1.61 ohms.
c9f3028617728c4b60ed51e10b37443a.jpg

The new coil packed like the old coil. A safer build with more room in the kayfun chimney for the coil. There is still much more airflow than a stock wrap.

Because I run 26650 mods I really like the 28.5 mm Stillare shown here with a simple dual parallel 26g build..drilled out the hole under the drip tip to 5/16" that really helped with airflow and blowing serious clouds.. It doesn't get too hot either at only .14 ohms..

I'm still pretty new to the vape scene so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. This is my latest build inspired by another build I have seen here. I had been getting some scorching on my cotton on the right side of my previous builds. I assume it was due to how close it was to the side of the RDA deck so I moved them more towards the middle and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Finished replumbing our kitchen! So I needed something really simple. 26g, 8 wraps, blue screwdriver (1ohm) on a Lemo.

There. Tried flattening but they have a tendency to pop if not hammered 110% evenly.

The "I bought this fucking 454 Big Block and all I get is clouds and no flavour" build
6 wraps of 24g @ .2 ohms
YWrYKvn.png

Sorry that it's blurry....the iPhone 6 camera is ace...but still not quite up to close up photos.
gDDgCsM.png

Even though it is a dual....with the four air holes it still produces impressive vapour without much sacrifice of great yumminess. I am vaping "Grilled Pineapple" from GNS Vapor and I am NOT unhappy with this build.

First dual coil build. Orchid V3 with 30 gauge kanthal, 8 wraps around the screwdriver (2 mm?) for just over 1 ohm. Trying some Crunkberry from Alice in Vapeland right now at 19 watts. Its working well except for the fill issue, but that story is for another thread . . .

Zipper. Single coil setup came out at 0.14 ohms, thats something new. Taste is great, even in Mutation X.

Edit: duals 0.05 ohms. Perhaps the best cloud chasing coils i ever built.

I didn't count the wraps on this but it turned out at 0.6 ohms on a 1/8" bit. Parallel coil in the ehpro kayfun version whatever with 2 air holes.

2e20efa3c5bef362c8782f148d44e5f9.jpg

This one was 8 wraps, parallel also, on a 14ga syringe. 0.7 ohms. Both of these were 26ga kanthal wire.

Comparing these two, the 1/8" bit made for a way better vape all around. The smaller diameter was very hot and little vapor prod.

24 guage 1.4mm mini coil .54 ohms + 24 guage 3mm macro coil .54 ohms = .27 ohm uneven duals. Want to see if it brings out flavor plus clouds.

The big one is just not turning red as fast. It starts heating at the same time. It is the flavor coil. The small one is the vapor coil.
It does work. Although my quad with minicoils puts out 2x the flavor. Same clouds.
The point of the build is to have 2 different temperature coils with the same resistance.

If you order a couple 12ga needles they fit in the air holes in the deck, put em' in and cut them off sticking a couple mm off the deck, your magma will never leak again works great.

Wish the top coil would have came out as mice as the bottom. I squeezed it about 10 times it just would not come together. It capes well though, so I wasn't going to wrap a new set.

Not a bad looking set tho. When you wrap, keep constant tension on the wire. What's the ohmage? About .15ish?

After attaching to atty, get coils red hot then release button, immediately take a set of needle nose and squeeze them together being careful not to overlap any of the wraps... tada!

Nothing special here, just a quick 'n dirty build on my new Veritas clone RDA.
I don't have many mods to match it, so figured I'd throw it on my SVD with a build to match. :)

So, it's 2.4 ohms worth of 30 gauge, 7 wraps on a 2.4mm screwdriver and wicked with Tencel fiber Cotton. (nixed the Tencel. - wanted to use it, but wasn't working as well as I'd like)

Ya, I need to squish that left side wind over a bit...oops.

I like it...

No, not giants clouds, but I can't lung-hit stuff anyways.
Great flavor, which is what I wanted, and a pretty good cloud...for me...lol
