@AnthonyLouis and @EndDetour were both just about ready to take sabbaticals when i showed up, and they both recently made a comeback (enddetour actually gave me a like on my first coil pic i ever posted)...but i agree, with all the new talent (rookie and pro alike), and the recent comebacks, the gods of building will have no choice but to be pleased with us

still no sign of the clamps or a letter about customs charges or post office handling charges. Pretty miffed like. Decided tonight was the night I was gonna start working with .2 ribbon and I already have 5 stacks either the build gods are on my side today or I am making progress with how I handle ribbon. I like to think the latter as the build gods should have saw fit to have my clamps delivered to meeee! Lol.
Edit. A mixture of 10 and 12 ply they are.

Only thing I would say that was different is the time scale for making them (for me at least anyway), they're a little harder to deal with and after they're folded are pretty easy to jump out of the stack on you. I have done a small .2 staple before but unframed so it didn't hold its shape at all. Was still a nice vape as far as I remember haha. Gonna try a couple of alien wraps and a couple of regular wraps just to see how they vape as a bigger coil.You could probably swim across and make more of a timely arrival lmao. There was a picture of a royal mail truck gone down a hill in the snow on Instagram..... Hope my package wasn't on that (-_-) I'll have to ring them about it as I'm getting pretty impatient, every morning is a kick in the nuts when my doormat is empty lol

you should try to find the spot in the pic and look around in the grass for a builders boutique bag
you cant go wrong following his advice. it gets exponentially easier once you get a few successes under your belt
Tried the .8 I know it's too thick but wanted to try the bending on the table and stacking glueing. And I have a stack ready for wraps. So I'll try with the .3 in a few u think. Feeling optimistic. Gonna throw another slider in there and wrap it for general purpose.i guess to feel the "squareness" possibly. I have no clue. Lolyou should try to find the spot in the pic and look around in the grass for a builders boutique bag

Got a staple coil. Too thick but at least I know I can do it. Coiling it will be fun but with the .3 instead if .8 I can manage.

Wider Staples are easier to determine which was vertical isMy horizontal staple coil. Lol wrapped it wrong. I swear I started it correctly.

Just wanted to say good morning to everyone and share this SSFC. I haven't made a build in the past week cause I've been sick but I haven't shared this particular photo with you guys yet. Staggering is probably one of the most difficult aspects of building for me. No matter what method I use I encounter challenges but every once in a while I do get a staggered build that comes out alright. I'm starting to figure out little tricks to help me be more consistent. This weekend I will definitely have a couple new builds for you guys. Always gotta stay on top of my Fraliens. Here's just a little something in the meantime. And it actually vapes pretty well too.

Just started building claptons and ect. there is my staggered FC from leftover wires 2x24 kanthal core and staggered & fused with 30awg kanthal thinnest wire i have atm just ran out from 36 nichrome

there is a post your build stations thread already. its a great idea and its pretty cool to see other peoples setups and tools. i already spent a lot of time examining everyones pics, but the thread dropped off the front page and people stopped posting. time to bring it back in style?
I have been building my coils since late 2012 started with good old genesis attys so i have rebuildable experience since then. I have been building my coils since late 2012 started with good old genesis attys so i have rebuildable experience since then. Now i started building "next level" coils like 1 week ago got a drill and other tools to get me started. Plannin to do clean coils and maybe in future i can start sell them to people with good cheap prices

spent the day yesterday trying to work on my photography game...i picked up a clip on macro lens for my phone, a couple flexible desk lamps and made a little photo-shoot area on my desk. still some experimentation to do with all that setup, but i did some test pics that came out ok. will have to look into focus stacking and the rest later. if anyone has any tips on that, let loose with them.
wire order also came in today. decided to try coil society because i was getting my ribbon from there (.2mm ohhhh) and it was a pretty good deal to just get everything else there too. wish me luck on the rest, i have heard its hit or miss with the high gauges (i went up to 46 so i can try to hang with the cool kids). i had to rebuild my wire rack to accommodate all the new spools, and move it to make room for the lamps.
to top it off, my pc decided to shit the bed last night and i stayed up way too late working on it, and it took well into this eve to get it back up to spec. feels like its been a bad 24hrs. its 130am, a new day, my desk is clean and organized and slightly redesigned, my wire is here so i can build whateverthefuckiwant and my pc is not on its way to calculator heaven. im thinking a .2mm/32/46 framed staple to try all my new gauges will be first up (but part of me wants to just finally relax and calm down now that everything is ok again)
the spare better metal snake in the dpro via cheap clip on macro
later edit - a couple quick attempts at focus stacking...just a pair of 29/38 n80 aliens
coil society wire is good so far. i am only one quick build in, but it was very smooth on the spool, didnt leave a mark on my fingers, and it has a very resilient coloring phase with pretty vibrant results...

Just made my first attempt at a portion of 2 core alien wire because i had a bit of excess clapton I made and it was so much easier to pull off than I expected!!! It was only about 4 inches but it's VERY inspiring to venture into alien builds for me now

also - I want to do 2 core aliens rather than 3 core to reduce ramp up time. ramp up time is the reason I avoid fused claptons over regular claptons. Does this sound like a good way to go about that?

What are you using to heat them up? What gauges? ... I only get that problem if I don't dry burn enough before I wick.Sadly nichrome gives me a funny taste no matter what juice i use
This is my single coil build on a Pyro 24 RDTA. 7.5mm id and 5 wraps of Vandy Vape flat clapton SS316L wire comes to 0.25 ohms. I got some Graham beauty coils 100% cotton I use for wicking slips right in with no thinning.
That’s one of the biggest ID coils I’ve seen actually installed for use
