Talk about a stove top coil. Pretty coolI was making a juggernaut and the drill kept spinning a bit when I was done. I thought it looked kinda neat.

I have a friend who needed single coils for his billet box. He needed single coils that would ohm at approx .7 so I made fused claptons with 30g cores and a 40g binding for a total of 7 wraps. I could have done a three 34g core alien, but that would have been as annoying as fuck and not nearly as much surface area. Not a fancy build at all but hey I bet it will work.View attachment 116677
God Damn it Dual Core Aliens!!! That's what I should have done. Ur smart Meg.You could do a 2x30 alien, 7 wraps is around .7 ohms (2.5mm)(nichrome)
Not really suggesting, just mentioning and thinking out loud - I do that a lot
I did a stitched alien just for fun. Is OK.View attachment 116682
Sure I've tried it a couple times. Never bothered to post one I always saw a standard alien wrap as being a better vape but stitching and alien is pretty easy for the most part, there's not much to it.That's rad, have you tried it before?
Try it the opposite way - I did a stitched alien using 0.3 ribbon once. I have no idea where the pics are, but if I can find them I'll post them here.STITCHED ALIEN TSUKAS!
aka a build solely for looks
Better get back to my kid now, hehe

Got two coils worth, yessss...
I just ordered 600ft of SS .3 ribbon and 3,000 ft of SS 40g
(Btw I found out I can vape SS, as long as it's mixed with kanthal all SS coils still taste weird to me, but I have some SSFCs with kanthal ribbon, SS frames and SS clapton that taste fine)
Also ordered the KTX 1.5 today, you could say I have trouble holding money for very long
Cool. I already have the black, just ordered the SS.Having a thingy on BuildersBoutique (BUILDERS25) if anyone is looking for KTXs.
Those are not coils, are art pieces congratsBeen a bit absent from tghe world as of late...

On my last livestream I wanted to do a 5 Core Alien but instead of the inner framing cores I wanted to do Ribbon, but then decided to remove the center core and replace it with Square Wire. I noticed afterwards its just a Alien Framed Staple with Square Wire Center...but it seemed cool when I thought of doing it.
.3x.3 Square N80, 3ply .3R SS + 28g SS, Wrapped with 36g SS
This new RDA I just got in from Augvape. its similar to the Reload RDAs (which I LOVE) except it has both Top and Bottom AF (both are Optional and Adjustable). Triple Interlocking Aliens installed.
10ply .3R SS + 28g SS Core, 42g SS x 3 Wrap
They ALL look great for you first go at it - and I'm quite sure every one of them will give a fantastic vape!Hi guys, i'm really new in all this stuff (Vape in a Pen -- Smok 22 -- for one year) just a month ago decided do buy a good mod and tank to vape like a big boy. In this process i've found interesting all the DIY thing, in wires, coils and juices. So, this is my FIRST try to produce coils. Cannot say im proud of then, but also didn't think i sholud just throw them in the trash
Above SS Claptons 26ga+30ga 5 rounds
In the middle twisted SS 28ga (twist the wire was easy, but roll then and count the rings at the end to make sure evens was the not easy. I think this ones were the harder to me to roll). 9 rounds
And in the bottom Fused Claptons 24ga*2+32ga (a pair with 7 and a pair with 8 rings).
Ah! They're all 3mm...
Thats it. Hope some day i really learn how to do this shi***.
Best for all of you.
Hahaha! Thanks for you kindness. And, even i am a brazilian called Severino, my dudes here gave me a english nick name: "Seven".
Best King.
And thanks for all your support.
Thanks man, hope you're rightThey ALL look great for you first go at it - and I'm quite sure every one of them will give a fantastic vape!
I'm always right. Ask anyone. Thanks man, hope you're right
Best.
Great job for your first go at it. You first attempts were better than my first attempts! @CrazyChef v2.0 this might be a good time to repost your very first build.Hi guys, i'm really new in all this stuff (Vape in a Pen -- Smok 22 -- for one year) just a month ago decided do buy a good mod and tank to vape like a big boy. @Severinomotta This really is my first attempt at a coil build a few years ago.
It sure gives me hopeAlways happy to oblige!

Absolutely! You're already off to a great start.Guess i still have a chance then

Spacing looks really great. That's quite a few wraps you must have had a long piece! Great job as always with the Fraliens! I got 15ft of AN80 wire I'm gonna make a pair of fraliens, hopefully, I know I'll at least get one haha. But back to the point these are great looking coils.A baby set of Fraliens. 2x28 frames, 5x.3 cores, 36 wrap, 2.4mm. .11 ohms

Brother you have more than a chance, keep building and in 6 months to a year you'll be building all of us under the table. Your coils look great right now they are only gonna get better!Guess i still have a chance then

Looks like you've got some twisted action going on. Twisted wire was my main go to build before I learned how to start building cause it tasted pretty good, it vaped well, and it was low maintenance. What I would do is take three strands of 26g, put them into the chuck of my drill and hold the other end of the three wires with pliers. I would twist the wire as much as I could, generally until it broke, and then I would just coil that up. That's called the tri-twist. If you're using N80 its a low ohm build. If I wanted to try something higher ohm I would take 4 strands of 28g, the process was the same and that was called the quad twist. Eventually thanks to Squidoode's channel eventually learned how to do the fused clapton first. I would mostly vape fused claptons for the next four months while I learned how to do the alien coil. I remember getting my first successful alien coil and vaping it as a single coil proudly cause it took me four months to get the feeling down. After that I started trying staple coils and I found them to be difficult to wrap, framed were easier, but just in general I had trouble with staple coils for a long time. I started ordering coils from PureCoils.com partially because I wanted to vape perfect looking coils, and partially because I wanted dissect them and see if I could find any clues as to how to make my coils better. It's been about two years since that point and I still feel like I have so much to learn. I never have the amount of time to dedicate to vaping that I'd like having a family to take care of and all but every hour you put in practicing counts. Today I can make a lot of different vapable coils and my friends know I am the guy to go to for free coils that vape well but I always have a coil on the horizon that I am heading towards that I know I will get to with enough time and patience. What counts more than anything is that you are happy with your vape. I found my favorite vape to be fraliens (alien framed staples) but there are a bunch of other builds I like to switch it up with just so I don't get bored like SSFCs and dual 5 core aliens. Keep on building brother. Your satisfaction with building will be rewarding as well as the vape that is born out of your building. You're on the right path for sure.@KingPin! @Shredtravolta @CrazyChef v2.0
Guys, thanks for the generosity in your comments about my First coil building, i take the courage to give'em a try. I saw a little ohm difference between the ohmimeter and the mod. But the hole shit worked and, even if im not proud of the coils (need to lear a looooot, and specialy when i see the one that you guy do) i cannont say im dissapointed with my first build coil even
Thansk for the community. If was not for you guys i would never had build my first.
In this mount i use my SS 28g twisted with 3mm and 9 rounds.
Best for all
cheers
Hehehe. Long run. Ill try it. Thanks for the repply and when i get to do something more complex will reach you for tipsLooks like you've got some twisted action going on. I still like a pretty, twisted wire coil! The harder coils to build just come with time, practice, patience, and miles of wasted wire! At least it did for me lol.@KingPin! @Shredtravolta @CrazyChef v2.0

Yeah that's a good point @Severinomotta don't waste tons of wire in the beginning learning how to build. I would basically suggest having two sets of wire, have one set for your vapable builds and then have another more extensive collection of cheap wire that you're never really going to vape it's just gonna be the wire you use to learn the mechanics of the new builds your learning. Once you feel like you've got the build down then use your good wire to make vapable coils so you can try them and see how you like them. I've preached enough!I still like a pretty, twisted wire coil! The harder coils to build just come with time, practice, patience, and miles of wasted wire! At least it did for me lol.

Where’s the builds??
6x30g, 36g Aliens all N80
Thanks so much!Dang, those are perfect! 30/36 aliens are kinda hard, right?
My daughter's pre-k is closed for 2 weeks, I have a hard time getting time to build, made that tsuka the other day but still havent even coiled it...I even have to sneak onto VU, when I'm in the bathroom
