Vtc5s are 20a cells, so i never got into them... i used ro run vtc3s when i was in full mech mode for a year or two under the idea that they had better internal resistance than the vtc4s... but theyre almost the same from what ive researched, i turned to vtc4s for the extra mah and havent looked back since... theyre lighter on mah than vtc5s or even the sammys and lgs, but i usually go real low so having a 4 pack of cells on me for the night out makes it worth it and if all else fails i got the dna200 as backup.

i tried a few times tonight after i got home from work to rebuild the framed stitch alien claptons with only 4x0.4 ribbon, 2 28k frames and 30k alien and stitch. i only got one half-assed 6 wrap on 2mm id and a complete disaster of the same for the other side. came out to 0.295 each, which is about perfect for what im looking for. ramp up time isnt to bad and the flavor is killer. thank you all for your help. hopefully i will figure out how to get these right. only problem now is that im running out of all my wires. i just bought new 100' reels of 32-40 a week ago and all i have left is some 38 and 40. running low on all my 20's too. except 26. my fiance bought me another reel 2 days ago.
Time to start investing in 500' and 1000' spools of wrap gauges. Went thru almost all my 500' of 40n80 in about 2 weeks.

Im realizing i need a bigger atty for some of my crazy builds..... this is very tight in my lush. Probably shoulda did 4 wraps instead of 5 but it fits. Sorta.

are the cuts coming from wrapping with it, or getting gashed while doing setting ups (stacking)?

i've had to tear apart more than one build already because i was a pig. either my a pair of duals would ohm out, or just too much meat to get the cap on.

500' 36K/1000' 38K on it's way. i had to wrap some serious coils to get the HFO to sign off on that one!!!! now after seeing my Instagram pics (borrowed phone), i see one of those in my future as well, lol.
I took a wrap out and made them 4 wraps instead of 5 and now it just barely fits but it should be useable. If not i got a decored clapton sitting here to make atleast a single alien.

Its a bit of a learning xurve for me to build higher than what i usially build..... this is the best i could do with what i had.

Well i made it work, got it wicked up and juiced and its a fine vape. Good flavor and good clouds. But i dont think ill be making that again. Just not worth the hassle like other more complex builds. Gunna make some alien wire.

i have a set of parallels in my Velocity right now that are kicking it for flavour. better than the gas guzzling Fused Staple that i had.

I get all my cells from orbtronic.com. Best prices I've found so far. Cheapest authentic 30A 2600mAh vtc5's I've seen, given any recently produced vtc5's are 20A, so I nabbed up 6 of those 30A's for $8.99 a pop while I could. Just ordered 6 30A 2100mAh Vtc4's with shipping for roughly $36, all of which came in those plastic cases you were talking about...the vt5's did not.

Don't be fooled by over exaggerated specs, there are no VTC5's that are 30A, only the VTC4's and VTC3's are 30a. There's not a real way without going to the manufacturer and getting the code scanned on the VCTs to prove them authentic, this is why I buy 25R's...There are many ways to distinguish a true from a fake. I wouldnt trust a site that posts exaggerated info on battery specs, but to each his own.
If I were to buy a VTC series it would be from Liionwholesale.com, they test a few batteries each shipment to prove them authentic and they dont try to fool the customer, plus there prices are still low.
An Authentic 25R check list:
There is a Number or Letter Etched on the Negative Terminal (Its the only 18650 battery that has this)
The Negative Terminal is Completely Flat
The Positive Terminal is Perfectly Circular
There are three prongs on the Positive Terminal
There is a Stamped Letter/Number under the Positive Terminal near the Vent
The Writing on the Wrapper is in Dotted Ink and every letter (I:3, N:2, R:4, 1:1, 8:3, 6:2, 5:5, 0:3, 2:3, 5:5, R:4)
Glows brightly when under blacklight
The Wrapper is not overly tight and has no seams
It should weigh no more then 45 grams
There are more but this should clue you in on how easy it is to spot a fake with Sammies, this is why they are one of the only batteries I buy as the rest of them are harder to identify a fake.

I was thinking about selling my Crius and Aromamizer, they are used and imperfect but I would rather see someone else use them then them sit on my shelf....20 for both (with Nano Claptons in the Aromamizer), If anyone is interested
Im thinking about grabbing a diablo rta, would you reccomend that over those?

Save yourself grief and get a Griffin or VCMT bud....If your looking for a setup that will make you happy and s reliable for going out without playing with wick and coils constantly get a griffin...This is why I havent even touched my TFV4 since Ive gotten it and I loved that over most of my RDA's. The Diablo looks nice but it also looks like a Aromamizer with Crius airflow and a pretty face on it, buy a builder RTA, the Griffin....FT just got the clone up for $16.
I was looking at the Advken Ohmega...that also looked nice but all these RTAs seem nice but after getting them they suck ass and sit. This is one thing that hasn't occurred with...you know which RTA, I shouldnt be gushing anymore. If you have something that can hold a 30mm RTA on and just dont want to spend alot of money theres always the Ohmega Alpha 30mm, the 22mm is basically a Crius but the 30mm is a beast.

If I didn't have them already, I'd jump on that! But I do want to get the Griffin, though. The RDAs I have are a mix of clones and authentics, but all of my RTAs are authentic. I really don't feel like chancing a 5ml leak all over (and possibly in to) my mods.
I dont mind clones as long as they are 1:1 and give the same or better experience, I know the Crius clone didnt have the issues my authentic did (No weeping/peek insulator) and I dont have a authentic Aromamizer anymore, I kind of wish I bought the clone of it first and I wouldnt have bought the Aromamizer to begin with....
You cannot have my Griffin, I will shank you before I let that out of my sight

I absolutely agree there are ways to distinguish between outright fake, rewrapped and authentic cells, and the prevalence of counterfeits leaves room for doubt. However I will have to correct the misconception that no vtc5 is 30A. There has been a prevalent amount of tests published by the manufacturer, distributors as well as more than a few independent studies, all of which show this unique hybrid cell had in some cases a higher continuous discharge than 30A. Sony stopped producing the 30A vtc5's and started producing the 20A variation roughly two years ago yet there are still a few distributors with stockpiles of the cells. I've built quite low on my mech with no issues whatsoever. As far as the Samsung 25R's go I have no experience. The apparent plethora of ways to spot counterfeits of this cell I'm sure would come in handy when purchasing from stores, eBay, Amazon and the like as a cell you could be more confident in investing in, however, when you are purchasing from major distributors that purchase massive quantities of these cells direct from the manufacturer, and test a healthy amount of the cells for the assurance of continuity, I don't understand the apprehension. I will however have to check out liion and see what the hullabaloo is about.

If you can get a Griffin and/or Areonaut rda I would jump on that. My RTAs are not perfect by any means and each have there issues so if your choosing these over much better gear then I would suggest buying the better gear. If you just want to add to a collection or have extras then by all means buy these from me but dont not have high expectations for these devices. How much for the 24/37 together?
I'm not sure usually the roll is 15 and the shipping is 14 so about 45$ yeah that seems about right because I got 3 rolls and they only charged me one shipping charge and it came to 60.29. This is the guy I bought the 37g from like 2weeks ago I've been claptoning away plus I might break it down into smaller rolls and sell them for cheap money to ppl on here not looking to make a profit just to break even would be good but I've been studying prices of SS for a few months now so I know it'd be cheaper this way
