Well like 2 weeks ago I ordered the Kbox 200w that fires down to .05 if any of you guys want some to play around let me knowA single coil build at 7.5 wraps, 3.0mm ID would put you at about 0.11Ω pulling approximately 38 amps.
I always end up with 26 nichrome. Mainly because I like it for cores. I did just do my first 24k core fc and turns out I like that better that the 26 n80 cored fc's. At least in the indestructible rda I do. I can't get over how smooth the airflow is in that rda. It isn't airy at all. Lots of airflow and all dense vape. Right now it is clocking in as my favorite rda to vape. I went from that to my past high favorite of my 13h9h and I notice the vape is a lot less dense and more airy.Trying to find 26 Kanthal... Usually go Nichrome and its no issue to find.. Why is 26 Kanthal so hard to find???

Have you gotten a double vision yet? I've been using it over the velocity lately. Still running these 28ss/40n80 fc'sI always end up with 26 nichrome. Mainly because I like it for cores. Yep, that what I have that horrid hammered out 30x 40k twist framed in 24k wrapped in 40k in. It is and ugly coil but it vapes smooth and nice at 110w as well. I still like the vape from the indestructible better. I would have to build matching coils to truly compare. I just ripped the old coils out of my velocity mini and my 13h9h. Trying get to figure what I'm going to build for them now... hmmmmHave you gotten a double vision yet? I've been using it over the velocity lately. Have you tried Lightning Vapes? I have 26K on it's way from them right now.Trying to find 26 Kanthal... Usually go Nichrome and its no issue to find.. Why is 26 Kanthal so hard to find???
I haven't looked. Will after work!Have you tried Lightning Vapes? I have 26K on it's way from them right now.
26/34 Clapton and Helix'd with 38 then Staged with 24g is a really good vape, even in single coil its pretty badass....I'm going to try a micro clapton helix.. But I think I'm out of cotton
Matt
26/34 single core... Twisted with another 26/34? 38 staging wire seems very small to stage with...?26/34 Clapton and Helix'd with 38 then Staged with 24g is a really good vape, even in single coil its pretty badass....
A normal Clapton, the helix wire would be a wire that fits in the claptons grooves. The staging wire would be a parallel wire..26/34 single core... Twisted with another 26/34? 38 staging wire seems very small to stage with...?

No problem I use mainly them and k.bee they're similar in prices but for some reason on eBay they have 500ft of tempered ni200 for 26.99 they don't even offer it in that many ft on their website and the 100ft roll is like only 7$ less than the 500ft so I keep stocking up thinking thinking someone is messing up. Same thing with the 34g Ni 200 temperedYep I ordered some, thank you Dawn!

And the Aromamizer will go into the parts bin after you receive it...I didnt like the Aromamizer because of its limitations, stuck under 70w or dry hits even with drilled out juice ports, the tank even full seemed half empty at best, tiny build deck, it was chunky and for little return and expensive....I just never saw the value in that RTA...I don't know why you are having the issues you are with the Aromamizer and Crius, I've had zero issues concerning dry hits and wicking... Now, the Aromamizer will leak if tipped for too long and I'm one of the unlucky ones that got a leaky Crius as well... But, as far as performance, they have both been stellar...
All that being said, my Griffin will be here tomorrow...

Nope resistance would be so low you wouldnt be able to fire them....Unless you twist it with Kanthal and make many wraps....Any one tried any fancy builds with ni200?

I have some 28ss430 dual core wrapped in 40k with 7 wraps on both coils. 14 wraps total. Comes in at .13 ohm. I have that in my freak show. Vapes great in both vw and tc. You can go either way with that build.Nope resistance would be so low you wouldnt be able to fire them....Unless you twist it with Kanthal and make many wraps....
I will try them with some SS wire when I get some though...
How would 26g/36g+ Fused Clapton fair? I ordered a spool of 26g in 316L and I was going to try a high 30's for a outer wrap...I didnt know if that would be too low though but I will get different sizes of SS as soon I try it out...I have some 28ss430 dual core wrapped in 40k with 7 wraps on both coils. 14 wraps total. Youll be looking at about .33 per coil with 8 wraps with a 3mm id for a 26ss/36k fcHow would 26g/36g+ Fused Clapton fair? I love a .11-.15 Fused Clapton (110w-140w ADV) in it but thats me...Isn't it the greatest RTA I cant tell by the pic but it looks like your coils are 3-4mm from the airflow, if you raise them up a bit then it should open the airflow up more and shouldnt be as hot. It should have the same amount of airflow as a Twisted Messes RDA closed one bump when the Griffin is wide open.I'm loving this Griffin RTA, but i feel it needs a slightly higher build than some I've seen. I did have a 5 wrap fused Clapton 36/24K1 in it and it was way too hot at .13. There's just not enough airflow for me for a build that hot. I backed down to a 32N80/24K1 7 wrap standard Clapton and it's so much better at .27. Really amazing. I have an almost identical build in my Twisted Messes RDA and I can barely tell the difference, I just don't have to drip! This tank is amazing.

i never even knew what a helix coil was. so i watched a tutorial by OHMBOYOC on the stapled helix and made an "all kantal" version since all i use is kanthal. all i can say is WOW. i normally only deal in dual coils, but this single coil trumps all the duals ive done to date. now its not perfect cuz its the first one ive ever done. but see what you think. 0.133 ohms 4wraps 3mm id. 2x26 twisted framing 5x0.4 ribbon stapled with 36.

You read my mindOn the next ones try to keep them like this.
When doing a build like this, is it better to just do the staple wraps or to wrap the whole coil like with fc's?Nice clean helix, it's the same wire that got me into building complex stuff.
Where you went wrong with the staple cores is that they should be stacked vertically for optimal juice flow into the wires.
On the next ones try to keep them like this.

Of course since I'm finally getting a Griffin I have a question for you here with this... Higher up from the air inlets give a cooler vape. How high is too high from the inlets with this deck?I love a .11-.15 Fused Clapton (110w-140w ADV) in it but thats me...Isn't it the greatest RTA I cant tell by the pic but it looks like your coils are 3-4mm from the airflow, if you raise them up a bit then it should open the airflow up more and shouldnt be as hot. You can see there should be plenty of room for air to envelope the coils and keep it cool, hell even at 150w its not "that hot". I see your rocking normal claptons though, that may be the reason for your issues...
It's not the RDTAs it's my builds one build will be great no issues and then my next build temp protect comes on in like 2 seconds so I was more asking where should I start troubleshooting my buildsI don't know why you are having the issues you are with the Aromamizer and Crius, I've had zero issues concerning dry hits and wicking... Touching the Chimney may be a bit too high I like mine around 5mm above the Air Holes and I place the coils directly over them, alot of people like it so the coils are positioned like on a Freakshow (closer to the posts and air travels behind the coil then up...I like the whole coil getting the air since I dont need to drip.Of course since I'm finally getting a Griffin I have a question for you here with this... I can understand that as I have a freakshow I build on. Tried putting the coils over the inlets in that and you don't get good airflow. Pull tight to the posts and then you are good but I know that had to mute the flavor a bit.Touching the Chimney may be a bit too highI like mine around 5mm above the Air Holes and I place the coils directly over them, alot of people like it so the coils are positioned like on a Freakshow (closer to the posts and air travels behind the coil then up...I like the whole coil getting the air since I dont need to drip.
Cs, FCs, Ribbon FCs, or something along those lines...It needs to be efficient at wicking but still produce flavor and heat, I think a Staple might be nice but your resistance may be a bit low with dual coil....I just slapped in some large FCs and next I think Ill use some Ribbon FCs....then try something else down the road...I can understand that as I have a freakshow I build on. I will keep that in mind when I do my first build. Trying to figure it what to put in there. Stapled helix, fc's, or framed ribbon with full wrap.
