If you have some time for positive thoughts for my brother today, I'll take them. Scans today for his cancer (we've had a few set backs the last few months) and he'll get the results on Monday. I'm sort of a mess over this set of scans......Trying to be positive, though.

Just got home from a meeting at the school. I get to mentor a new hire.....Now isn't that a scary thought......lol I have next week to get my room ready and then I hit the ground running. I'm not going to start my room tomorrow........even though my conscience is saying I should. The building is 100 degrees and there is no air conditioning. Soooooooo.........I think I'll just wait!

Mama bears went back today. (Saddest/worst week of the year at my house).
No kids till next week....just a bunch of unhappy teachers hanging out together. Scary to think about.
I was thinking she started a week earlier than I do...........What's sad is meeting after meeting after meeting wishing they would show you something you can use in your classroom. I'd rather have a roomful of children for 10 hours than attend inservice. Ughhhhhhhh

Broken bones suck/hurt, but eventually heal.
Broken pancreases don't. Mom is going to have to watch what she eats.
On the bright side (if there is one in all of this), now knowing that she's diabetic, eating properly and watching her blood sugars will go a long way towards making her feel better. I didn't realize how shitty I really felt until I was diagnosed and started to work it out. I realized I had felt terrible for years.
