Thanks Dready. The one I'm using right now is one Peng suggested, I have e-liquid Calculator.com but haven't used it, I almost panicked about the Evernote recipes I have but then realized it is online and simply logging into the site will transfer that. Now I have to figure out if I have/want to use Safari or another browser, and what other browsers are compatible with Mac. OMG so much to learn, my poor old head is spinning, excellent timing on my part to do this while in the middle of an art class learning a completely new app.

In any case my brain is getting a lot of good exercise and I'm fairly certain that I don't have Alzheimer's yet because the new stuff I'm learning is sticking.

I need to make myself concentrate long enough to make a flavoring order sometime soon as well, I am pretty sure I will be running low on a few that I use all the time. Thank you again Peng and everyone else that encouraged/pushed me into DIY, I simply cannot imagine paying retail for juice anymore, add to the fact that retail juice doesn't taste good anymore, it's just way too sweet.

There are no native recipe calculators for the Mac, unfortunately. So, it's going to be online calcs or run Windows in emulation for that

I liked and recommend Google Chrome for Mac. There's also Firefox and a few others.

No, I hadn't. She was doing a bunch of charm bracelets and necklaces and then came across this guy that makes realistic animal pendants and it's just blown up from there. All these Hunter types have just been buying them up like crazy. Her fb page is called Mountainside Expressions, if you want to check it out.
Ya know, this guy also makes all kinds of dog breed pendants too. You have poodles, right? I'll find a pic when I get home.

Those are really nice, and yes I do have poodles. I am tempted by the Bass but need to resist for the moment. :)

Firefox works on Mac? Hmmmmmmmm that is what I use on Windows and Android, If I can use Firefox on the Mac then I won't have to manually redo all of my bookmarks. I really don't want to run Windows on the Mac if I can avoid it, if it turns out that I have to then I guess I will, but I'd rather not.

So much to learn, but it will keep me busy for a while. lol

There is no need to run windows on your Mac, ever, unless you are writing software code and need to test it on windows.
I think you will assimilate to the platform just fine, and before long wonder why you hadn't switched sooner.
Sounds like there are several of us here who can answer questions. Glad you can continue using Firefox and Evernote. :)

Claudia, I switched from PC to Mac with no issues, and never even read a tutorial or anything. Granted, I don't know much about computers, and I just use it for internet and photos and document storage, but I never had an issue switching over. I had all my info from my pc transferred over by the techs at the apple store, so once that was done it was a breeze.

Thanks Dready and Embee, When I first contemplated this switch I was very very nervous about it, I felt like it was going to be like learning to use a computer in a language I didn't speak. The more I read and learn the more I realize it probably isn't going to be any more difficult than upgrading to a new Windows computer.

I am going to have to do all of it myself though since the nearest Apple store is about a 2 hour drive, AND it isn't a portable laptop, it is a 27" iMac. I am hoping that this old computer will hang on until I get all of this done, but it is getting slower every day, video card is dying and possibly hard drive as well, BUT all of my personal files are backed up to an external drive and updated constantly. I have all of my passwords handy and can download all of my art programs which will be time consuming to say the least, installing custom brushes and papers and textures and all of that, in several different art apps.

I am thrilled to find out that I can continue to use my second display after getting an adapter, even though it isn't a gorgeous Mac display it works well for my primary use which is watching class video tutorials while I use the program on the main screen. I "may" try the migration and I may not, I definitely will look into it though.

I just wish Monday would get here and I could get started. :)

Happy Saturday err'body.
Big argument with the hubby this morning. I promised to stop being a bitch and he promised to take me to for a cheeseburger later.
Works for me.

I'll stop being a bitch for a cheeseburger as well.
With fries. Gotta have fries. No fries makes me bitchy. Then I'd need another cheeseburger.....with fries.
Vicious circle.

Day off and it's filled with Mom and Mom-in-law projects that are "must do" or the world as we know it will cease to exist. So.....120 mile round trip to wash a van and fill it with gas (my mom). Last time her van was down nearly a whole gallon on fuel. Then on to MIL's to hang 2 ceiling fans and 3 new pendant lights. My 2 bro-in-laws that live within a 5 minute drive of her just can't find the time. Lazy bastards. Bet at least 1 is golfing today.

I'm getting me a cheeseburger for lunch.
With fries.

Hey, knucks!!!

Nothing new to report, just a busy week. I hope you are all doing well.

Anyone else follow HIC and see his recipes using FA's new flavor Nonna Cake??? It's not available in the US yet....and with me being impatient and all.......guess who just ordered 100mL from the UK last night because the shipping fee was ridiculous for 10mL or 100mL.......So, if it is as good as he is claiming......I should be set for quite some time......lol

Morning all!
Watching golf at Riviera CC, designed by great grandpa in '27 :) :) :)
Cows, sports and a bid headed grandbaby. What more could a woman want?

Granddaughter #1 has been living with us for about 5 months now. I really enjoy having her here. She is a big help but more than than, she is a delight. Downside? Her mom and sisters have decided I am the evil stepmom/stepgrandma and refuse to talk to me. They have now 'unfriended' my grand. In addition, her best friend's grandma (who she lives with) found out that grand is a lesbian. Now she is no longer allowed in their home. This 18 year old is suffering a lot of losses in her quest to be grow up and be true to herself. People are mean and they suck sometimes. Makes my heart hurt.

I agree with the others. She has you to show her that people can love, be kind, and supportive.

@always9988 , @Merbear , @penguiness , thanks for the kind words. I hope we are able to make a difference for her. She is really a neat young woman.

I haz a sad that stepdaughter (psychic vampire that she is) has chosen to take the path she is on. I really miss the other two grands and Stan is hurt beyond belief. Time heals. Just have to wait, pray and see how it plays out.

Been up since 3:30am....since Herk jumped on my bladder. Guess he felt we both needed to go pee.
Then realized that I forgot to put my robo-pancrease back on when I opted out of my pants last night.
Sooooo......481 blood sugar at 3:30.....drank a glass full of insulin.....now I'm down to a leg cramping 190.
Not the way to start the day. High blood sugars make me as bitchy as cheeseburgers sans fries.

I want a big, gooey, icing slathered cinnamon roll.......
Damn 'betes........instead I'm having a small tumbler of spicy V8, some low carb, flavorless yogurt with a tiny bit of granola and some shitty coffee(not made by me).....

I'm followin' and not liking the fact that you've been up since 3:30 fighting to get your sugars regulated..........My damn fingers can't type this morning and I think I typed that one sentence 3 times.........I need coffee......even if it's not made by you, Hawk! Hope your day gets back on track and regulated. Sounds like you deserve a nice nap this afternoon!

Thanks Steph....you're a sweetie!
Meh.....I'm all good. I'll get to moving around and it will get better. Herk needs a walk. Hope I remember to wear pants this time.
Definate nap today so I can stay awake for the walking and talking dead. Can't let my geekdom be affected.
Probably should do a bit of prep for supper tonight. I dry rubbed a couple of rib eyes last night for grilling.....mushrooms.....fried carrots and a salad.
That's all the random/unrelated thoughts I have for now. But I feel lots of stupidity roiling near my brain stem....so y'all got that to look forward to.

I'm following, and I can simply say ditto for me.
Burger and fries helped a bit yesterday, but I have to be really careful not to let my bitch factor run rampant today.
I hate winter, I'm tired of living in a construction zone, and there's some kind of ATV event going on about 1/2 mile from my house right now so it is loud and obnoxious. There's a trail across the road and I've been watching -and hearing- them go by for about 1/2 hour now with no end in sight.

Afternoon all. I slept forever last night and got up late. It has taken a very large coffee to kick start my brain so I could respond to one or two of the posts. I seem to do this on Sunday's and especially the day before I start a long trip with a push on time. I am off to Bend, OR tomorrow morning. Praying for good roads and clear skies. The scenery is awesome and I would like to see more than WHITE!
