I think I am going to stay in town for it. The roads should improve by mid morning tomorrow. Good reason to watch the game! Fingers crossed. I really want to see how Manning performs...well, the entire team really. I am very nervous about this match up. But, when you are a Broncos fan, nervous is a pretty constant feeling!

Just ran to the store for something, saw cops everywhere. Turns out a guy shot and killed one cop and injured another right down the street from my house. A few minutes later other cops gunned him down in a barrage of bullets.

True. I've seen far more than my share over the years. I just didn't expect it here in this place, right by one of my sons favorite playgrounds where we walk all the time.

Wow I saw that story and thought about you and then immediately though Utah is a good sized state and it probably wasn't anywhere near you. I hate when stuff like that happens in places you would never expect it. Stay safe.
I know when that shooting happened in Chattanooga last summer it really shook my sense of safety here. It was about 30 minutes from where I live, BUT it happened IN THE PLACE where I go to renew my military ID every 5 years.

I've lived in places where daily violence is the norm, where cops are to be just as feared as criminals, but also in places where they are very friendly; it's amazing how humans can adapt and think certain things are normal.
What's different for me now is that I have a family who can't protect themselves the way I could myself. That, and I've seen the effect events like this can have on police personnel. I don't like living where cops have to look at everyone as a potential threat. I fear that will happen here now.
I don't think the police have a choice but to think of everyone as a threat. When you have people declaring war on another people, everyone is a potential enemy. My opinion is those who are trying to protect us should be thanked and appreciated.
Agree, for those who are trying to protect us. But I've been kicked, handcuffed, & spat on by cops who were drunk, off duty, and blowing off steam. What I meant above is that I don't want to again live in a place where cops get hardened into different people. When they feel unde attack by the citizenry they are charged with protecting, things change.

Sad thing is the news tomorrow will show it like the cops acted out of line in shooting the guy. Put them on administrative leave as they await lawsuits from the criminals family.

I do t think so in this case. Did you read an article about it? Guy ran from a traffic accident and then shot a cop in the head before the cop knew anything more was going on.
Also, re the Crius. Extraction of the grub screw failed with drill, also gluing hex key prior failed. Ordered a micro extractor that will hopefully work... Especially since it cost as much as the tank :/

That's just crazy. There will still be people bashing the police. My favorite one that actually hit the news and disappeared was the guy that stole the gun and went stolling down the street flashing it. Cop car comes in and just mows the guy down. Lol. My feeling is if you don't want anything like that to happen then stay out of trouble.

While I'm thinking about it Dready pm me your address. I'll get you some coils and juice lined up. I planned on sending some fused claptons. All kanthal ones and some with nichrome. I'll throw in a zipper coil. Have you used pain ole claptons? I can just make you a foot or so of that and you can do what you want with it.

Honestly I don't think I've bought anything in the last year that was just leaps and bounds better than anything else I already had. Sx mini and veritas still do the job just as well as anything else. Although I've really taken a preference to the dual post attys. The CCI archon with the upgraded velocity deck is probably my favorite "new" atty of the last year.

Ah yep stove top coils. I actually will still use those in the brass monkee. Only atty I'll put them in though. That's cool though, you'll get to try all sorts of new things then. I'll label the ones I send. I'll have at least one fused with nichrome as the center. They're nice. They heat staggered so the center heats first then the outer layer. Evening, Doggie............It's a wonderful 2° here.......with a real feel of -27°! Want to trade??? C'mon! I know you wanna! LOL
No kiddos today because of the MLK holiday, but if we did, we would probably have had a delay. It's supposed to be the same tomorrow (possibly colder) so I may get a late start then. I really don't want to sit in meetings today. The day goes so much faster when I have the kiddos!
