Hockey, Steph's Penguins are beating my Sharks for Stanley Cup :(

oh

i'll stay neutral on this one :slowclap:

there is a national ice hockey league here, my sister is into that, since it is so cheap to go with her 3 kids compared to other sports. Not sure how much they understand of it, they won tickets maybe 2 seasons ago, and got a taste for it

Good doggie, staying neutral......lol I hadn't watched hockey in many years. This year for some reason, when Mike's dad was in Hospice, we started watching the games with him and when the Penguins started winning, we said it was because "we watched" them this year.......lol Now we have to sit in the same spots on the couch and watch every game.......It's a running joke now, but we are enjoying it.

Do any of you have a Fitbit? I just got one last week and I'm addicted to this little thing. What a motivator!
I don't. I monitor leaving the house steps with my phone

Aqua flags mean I met my target that day.

As you can see, I'm doing really, really, really well lol

That's a good idea, Dan. I think the recommended daily step amount is 10,000 and I've gotten close a few times, but my goal is to get to that by the end of June and maintain that through the summer. I just found a local track that is 1K for a lap and went there this morning. Seems safe and there were a lot of walkers using it. If I can get myself up and out the door early enough (instead of lounging in pjs and messing around on the internet) I could hit that goal. I just have to find the motivation.......lol

Hawkie made fun of me. He borrowed one for his normal work shift and does 15,000 just in his normal day.

Oh, wow!! See I am wimpy.........lol

Sheesh, Always........That is a ton of steps!! :bunny:

I think it will be easier to hit that goal once school is back in session. I never sit down........but summer times??? Well.......I want to read. I want to compute. I want to relax. I want to cook......You get the picture.

embee went old school, and physically counted steps on her standard dog walk

i really fail, I think it as DI that told me if i'm not consistently meeting my goal: lower it so i do. I have mine set to 4000 now, and am not even making that with the cooler weather

I've had an excuse this week with the dog being restricted from getting much exercise, but now that we've had the green light from the vet I have no excuse anymore. Did about 7,000 today according to my phone. That seems like our standard. But I don't count the rest of my day. Some days I'm all over, some days I barely move.
Whatever. I can breath and do big hills and the occasional strenuous hike without dying, so I figure I'm good.
Dog is happy again.

I think you all are doing amazing! I'll get there. Baby steps. ;-)
It really happens faster than you think it might. My trick is find places to walk that I enjoy. I think if I was walking on a track I'd give up after about 1,000 paces. At my old place we lived by an old rail trail through the woods that went on for miles and was beautiful Here I'm stuck on back roads but it's really pretty with very little traffic, so I don't mind the walk. Unless it's cold, like today.
WTF...55 in mid-June?

Anyone else having major pollen issues? I cleaned my house top to bottom three days ago, and just had to get out my duster again because everything is covered in green dust.

I had almost 18k today at work and it was slooooooooooooowwwwww in there today.
When I make trips out to round up carts I log just over 500 steps per trip. Only did 2 today, but on a busy Saturday I easily do 15-20+ cart trips.
One would think that I would look like an Super model, but not so much.

That's really impressive, Hawkie!
