Here, let me add some more.

So, my daughter is supposed to be hiking the Appalachian Trail. When they got to my sons house in PA her dog started getting really sick. Took her to a vet and she has some rare respiratory fungus and the medication costs over $2000, which she doesn't have. She has been trying to give her natural remedies but they aren't working. Really worried for her.

Poor lil Pig Dog!

Gah. That sucks. That kind of money for a medication is criminal if you ask me.:cuss2:

Your daughter is beautiful, by the way.

Mornin Knucks!

Where are you Doggie? Been kinda quiet lately.

Should've mowed yesterday. They were calling for thunder storms all day. Didn't hit till late. Now, everything is wet and it's supposed to storm on and off all day. Pewp

No new update on my daughters dog. Not because there's no new information, but because my daughter is so bad at communication. I would end up with the only 24 year old kid on earth that's not addicted to their phone. Ugh!

Colder and raining here too. Pewp.
Good juju going out for your daughter's dog, 22.
Our pup is doing better...seems like her old self again, but still a little swollen around the mouth. When she yawns it kinda breaks my heart, but also makes me laugh. She only has one canine left, so we're now calling her "Fang".

Our lil chihuahua had all those teeth pulled. It's funny to watch her eat hard food now. She takes one piece and flips it around in her mouth till she gets it to a spot where she has teeth to chew with. Poor pups.

Yeah, I'm told we can give her hard food again in a few more days, but the thought seems kinda crazy.
Poor babies. Amazing what they can handle, though. I wish I was half as adaptable and tough as my dog.

Hanging in there.......Gripping on to anything to keep me above water these days........but, I'm surviving the best I can. How about you and that house.....Still working on some things or did you get it all done?
LOL
Almost there. At least phase 1 is almost done. I've been relegated to observer over the past few months as hubby decided I didn't have the skills to help with the work he's been doing recently. Putting the finishing touches on the kitchen and just waiting for a plumber to fix something with the heat pipes in the adjacent room, then we'll be done.
Phase 2 will be turning the upstairs rooms into a separate apartment, but we'll probably wait til next winter to start that project. This has been the longest reno in the history of the world. I think the Taj Mahal took less time to build.

Salutations and farewell. Off to KS today and then right back home tomorrow (I hope, no back haul yet). Then off to Abilene, TX for the family reunion. Looking forward to a weekend of giggles and tickles. We have buried way too many of the group over the past two years. Most recent was an 18 year old from a car accident. Makes it that much more important to show up every year and celebrate lives that were and lives that are.

My daughter ended up having to put her dog down. They found that she was eat up with cancer and while they may have been able to prolong her life, she may not have improved physically. Would have just been staving off the inevitable.
Poor pup, being deaf, she spent her first ten months caged and neglected. My daughter gave her a couple years of love and adventure.

Good morning everyone. 2Pak I'm so sorry to hear about your daughters dog, the cost of that medication is ridiculous. If you talk to her ask her to do a little vet shopping as charges vary a lot from vet to vet, another possibility might be getting a prescription from the vet and trying an online source like pet meds.

Steph and Always I'm sorry that life is dealing you low blows as well, this just doesn't seem to be a good time for way too many people, If I was religious I would truly believe that we were in end times, if we are then I wish it would hurry up and end. I'm tired of the fight to survive.

Things are somewhat calmer here although nothing has been resolved, at least he appears to realize that I am on his side again. The only news on the robbery comes from a neighbor who says others on the street have also been robbed, one 3 times, and he has heard people in the woods at night that he believes are casing homes. It looks like a burglary ring is working the area. Of course the police have said nothing to us about that because not broadcasting that might help them catch them.

OK back to art, playing with a new stylus and some new software. Mostly just doodles and scribbles at this point and nothing worthy of sharing, I'm not feeling very creative but trying none the less.

Oh darn 2Pak, that sucks. I'm sorry that she lost her dog, but agree that what she did was the right thing. Dogs are so good at hiding illness and pain, by the time they show symptoms it is often too late. :(

Sorry to hear that your daughter had to put down her dog. She definitely gave her some better years. Hugs to both of you.
