Okay so ive been posting a lot lately, but only because this forum is awesome and everybody is great! So bare with me haha. So i want to get the Smok H Priv box mod, its regulated and i want to put an RDA or an RTA on it. Since im sort of scared of unregulated mech mods, i want something that will be easier to build on. So does the h priv help and make it easier in a way?

IMHO, more or less, a regulated mod is a regulated mod. Certainly some (or possibly most) will disagree. But a series mod brand A and series mod brand B are essentially going to do the same thing. Certainly there are differences, but I think it's hard to go wrong with any popular mod. So if you have the priv mod picked out, go with it. Will absolutely be safer than an unregulated.

The RDA is where you will find a difference in making building easier. I would recommend a 2 post design (and even better-2 post with 2 holes in each post). Other than that, really is personal preference. Kinda gotta get a couple to see what you do or don't like and why. For example, I do not like bottom airflow rda's, but some people absolutely love them. Would be hard to recommend the perfect one for you, but it would be hard to go wrong with a tobecco velocity.

A good way to figure that out is to get clones in general. You can check them out without investing a lot of money. Check out sites like fasttech (always pick epacket shipping and reviews) and 3fvape. Do expect to wait a while for shipping though..

The mods themselves tend to use the same handful of different chipsets, so it comes down more to build quality, aesthetic/design, battery life, etc. Most will do what you want, though id struggle to say they are all created equal. Reviews from DJLsb Vapes give some fantastic hard data on different mods, and other reviewers can give general ideas on things like usability and comfort. There are fantastic resources out there!

in my opinion the best rda that you can get as far as a beginner is the stillaire from cartel (picture included below) its a dual post has nice sized air holes nice size post holes and enough room for you to try out different coils and it chucks like crazy and its really cheap i got mine for like 15 dollors from a shop
