Just got the RX200, nice looking mod but as someone already mentioned in this thread the battery door is a little more hard to get off then the DNA200 version. I am thinking this is because of the finish which is rougher.
Another thing I noticed pretty quick is that the RX200 gets warm when used, seams to be coming from the front around the board. It is not hot by any means and I wasn't too worried about it but the DNA200 version stays relatively cool no matter how much you use it. I went ahead and removed the TFV4 from the RX200 and put it on the DNA200 and used the same wattage. The DNA200 stays cool with the same tank and watts and I have vaped it 3 times as long as I did with the RX200 before it got warm.
Here is some vape porn for ya:
The fit and finish on the RX200 is not as nice as the DNA200 which doesn't have the same gaps. You can see in the second pic how the bottom front of the RX200 sticks out a little. The front panel is not on as nicely, sticking out a little on one side and recessed a little on some spots. There is also a little gap on the top of the battery door. I am just nit picking though as I am sure some people will ask, doesn't really bother me though as I have my OCD in check.I do like the matte finish on the RX200 though, feels comfortable.
Using the RX200 is pretty simple which I like, simpler than the DNA200. Tried a RDA with Ti and it at first registered the resistance and I locked it but when I went to use it the RX200 said atomizer too low and when I went to look again it wasn't reading the resistance anymore. Not sure what that was about but I took off the RDA and popped on the Crown with SS coils. Tried the SS TC and it worked but I like the power mode so much better, I probably need to set it up better but with the same wattage and bumping up the temp until I liked it the power mode it just more preferable to me. I might swap out the coil on my TFV4 to the Ti and try that but I always though it was inferior to the Clapton TFV4 coil.
All in all though I think the RX200 is a screaming deal at $50 or less. Is it in the same league as the DNA200 version? So far I would say no due to the fit and finish and the board getting warm. Is the DNA200 version worth 3 times the price? For me that would also be a no, maybe twice the price would be fair but for someone who delves deep into the escribe software then it would probably be a yes.
First thing I did was install the latest update 1.07 as well in case anyone is wondering.
