I would expect some type of compensation. Either in the form of them sending me the correct item along with them paying return shipping or at least a partial refund. Not a fan of that teal/cyan color. The refund would pay for my time and the paint required to repaint it
In spirit, I couldn't agree more. In reality I'm usually satisfied if somthing, anything arrives at all from China. I have, over time been reduced to having very low expectations. The critera I apply to a China order is that I'll go as high as $15 for 5 or more items, hoping that like sperm, one or more might actually make it to my door intact, being the correct item, and functioning. I admire the bravery of all of you who order attys, and mods from there.
I have understood for some time I'm not inherantly a lucky person. They exist, I've met a few. But for every bona fide "lucky person" I've met five that only thought they were.
And example if you will. My TFV4. Bought at my local shop. I paid 8 dollars more for it than I would have from China. It took 2 weeks for me to discover the glass was .5 of a mm wider at one end. Now, I don't routinely apply my micrometer to every piece of glass I come across, it took 2 weeks for that glass to chip, because if the wide end was at the bottom, after cleaning, reassembly was no problem. if the wide end was at the top, you really had to press it to make it go in. Only after it chipped, did the micrometer come into play. End result? The vape shop replaced it, about 30 seconds after I explained the problem. $8 more, but the cost of not waiting a month for an atty that had an inherant latent failure that would not appear for two weeks after it arrived (assuming that China sent me the correct product that was not smashed by some unknown postal knuckle dragging failed baggage handler) Then hours (days) spent exchanging Chinglish banter over a service ticket, the month it takes to send it back and the crapshoot of whatever arrives if anything in its place? Best $8 I have spent.
My RX200 was $11 more. I vaped it in the car on the way home. Priceless. Even applying the $11 to faster shipping won't do that. Speaking of, I'm reminded of the extra shipping I paid on my last order from there. So it woud be certain to arrive in time for Christmas. Well over a month ago. Item in stock they said. Ships next day they said. These are phrases that actually mean fuck you foolish roundeye, you no gonna vapy on Christmas. Thank you for your understanding. Another phrase that is far to obscene for me to translate on this forum.
Perhaps I am somewhat lucky after all. I live in a city with a good vape shop, where they are non-rapey with pricing, and have the newest stuff and exellent service.
On a side note, I found a new Chinese seller of vape stuff at really good prices, they appear to be an offshoot of a Chinese online store that primarily sell electronics, I've bought from them in the past and they have been exellent. But, they will not accept credit cards for ecig items, only PayPal who I still boycott because of their refusal to process donations to Wikileaks.
So, on other Chinese sites, the way around this is to purchase a gift certificate with your credit card, then apply the gift certificate to your ecig purchase. Simples.
On this site though, they don't have gift certificates, so I sent them an email suggesting they do so. Now, every day their customer service sends me emails with different Christmas, greeting and birthday cards. The don't comprehend English enough to grasp the concept of a gift certificate, so they keep sending me emails trying to get it right. Bless their little hearts.
Thank you for your understanding.........
Now, off to check the mail to see if my Christmas package has arrived.
